the ff queue is perfect for Wow players. Log in early with like 4k , do ALL your daylis and by the time you can log into ff you have finished around half of em.
oof
But who wants to play WoW? Ew.

Early mornings or late nights for me. Anything peak time on Leviathan, you're looking at upwards of 7k-8k. Anything lower than that, consider yourself lucky
dam and I thought ultros was bad
Love me my 8k queues because I play the entire game with a friend who can only play at peak times!
On sun is also very hot and if you don't live in the similar temperature, then consider yourself lucky
Shit, peak times are barely over 4k on Lamia. Sometimes even under 3k.
@@codygregg9144 yeah, so glad I'm on Lamia lmao
The queues do seem to be getting faster, although the numbers aren't going down much. At the start of last week, it usually took about an hour per 1000 people in the queue. But it seems to have sped up a bit since then. I got through a 4.5k queue in the time it took me to watch a film.
Nope yesterday I got dc and it took me 4h to get through a 4k queue. Didn't disconnect while in queue though so that's nice.
it got faster for me yes, but not by much(no surprise)
I've gotten through 4k que for 2 hours. I've also waited 2 hours through a 2.6k que and I've waited 4 hours on 3k que just the other day.
I've been fortunate enough to only experience 2002 errors when logging in, not in que.
Idk lol
Either way I get my roommate to log me in an hour and a half b4 I get off work and normally just wait 30 minutes when I get home.
Thats so sad.
I logged in twice yesterday about 10:30 am and again at 11:45am switched toons, both times queue was less than 100, Sam on Saturday afternoon at 1pm all times central us and queues never mire than 100 on Hyperion.
meanwhile in elemental: 5 second long queue, a min at peak times
Hell yeah
Kujata gang
only problem I had was at 12:30am there was 500 in queue
except tonberry lmao
Cry in Tonberry
*Me who wakes up 6am and get 10 people queues*
Yep, we must be in different time zones. I get up at 5am and that's about what I have. I think my highest queue was 38
its nice seeing him easily saying lets play something else :D as ffxiv doesnt push u to "have to play mentality"

4.4k is usually around 2 hrs. I could honestly understand that decision.
some players have to wait till 6 hours! what is 2hours pls, lol?!
start stream by login in and do react content while Que.
Pretty understandable
The ironic thing about it, is that he contributed to the size of the queue time.
My world rarely goes over 1k now, which made all the difference.
Yeah I'm on midgard and at peak times right now it's about 2k-2.5k was like 4-6k at launch of endwalker xD
hyperion on primal here, the most i get is 1k at peak
Elemental here, rarely see it in triple digits aside from day 1 now
Gosh you guys are lucky. On mine it was 9k in the first few days after launch (probably more, I avoided the middle of peak times) and now it's down to "only" 4-5k...
My server frequently hits 4k+ queue sizes.
At least for me 4k would be logging in late. Logging in early would be 80-500 people then until 2pm it shouldn't really go over 1k and then around 3-4pm it goes 3-6k
I only play mornings, I love the game but I refuse to spend more than 20 minutes on a queue so I just play something else instead
Depends on what time of day you're logging in. I'm on Primal/Exodus,
Normally if I log in around 11pm-11am the que is about 50 ppl,
11am-2pm around 1k-1.5k after that it gradually increases into 4k+
Same here on primal/famfrit, from like 2am - about 11am theres only like 50 people max in the queue but the second it hits 1pm it skyrockets to the thousands
last afternoon at around 4:30 (west coast) it was like 2k and has been for a week now
Primal(ultros) almost similar time frames 11am-4pm is where queue jumps from a 35-49 to 3k-4k+ queue. 9pm to next day, queue is less than a minute.
Primal/Excalibur here: Can confirm this is exactly what my queues are like.
Primal behemoth, the past few days my highest queue number during peak hours was 2.7k. Any other time it's usually under 100 people. Much better than launch week when it was around 6-8k.
It's playable only in the early morning when other people are at work. At 5 pm queue starts to get big :(
"I don't want to wait in line. Fortunately there's another amusement park down the road with no lines whatsoever. Just a couple of "Do not enter" signs. Kind of them to keep things clear for me."
Asmongold: * Doing anything that is not Final Fantasy *
Chat: FF DEAD GAME LUL
in Ragnarok, there's literally maybe 70 people in queue from 2am-10am but then every other hour of the day you're looking at 1.5k-4k peak. all in all, it isn't too bad
Queues got better. It's been a total nightmare for a couple weeks and discouraged playing but finally looks like the queues have got a lot better. Friday-Sunday I was able to get on during normal busy play times without any queue.
I have barely started Endwalker because I'm not prepared to wait current queue times.
I literally play wow while the queue is going on a second monitor
It's all queue management. I get home from work. Get my queue running then go make dinner. Some grub and Netflix later and I'm good to go. On days off just log in in the morning and you don't have a queue at all.
Pretty much the same here
I’m glad I switched from EU to JP pre-Endwalker. The queue time isn’t that long even during peak hours
I'm very glad to not have this issue much on Mateus.
At the absolute worst, that first week or so during early access it was about this bad at a bit under 5k players during peak times. But now?
Ugh, this is exactly what's happening with me. My queue in FF is over 5k - so i just stopped and started playing SoM
Agreed. I would come back later.
Can use those 2-3hrs to play MTGA. Gotta climb back that ranking ladder.
i have no money to get any of the meta decks so that wont work for me sadly
I resorted to Minecraft.
Kinda glad MTGA yeeted itself for me after a shop update broke everything with nothing I tried able to fix it.
Cause it became even more of a dumpster fire client with even harder predatory monetization.
No man's sky here. Gives me a chance to catch up on other games while I wait for things to cool. S'not going anywhere.
Wake up earlier and log in before everyone else, and never log out. Thats how to beat the queue lol
And by doing this you basically force other people to be stuck in the queue. Someone's gotta be in queue until they expand the servers.
4 PM EST is when you need to be logged in by. Less than 100 people ques, after that good luck.
Just have it at the background while playing another game while waiting XD
He literally said that he doesn't plan to stream for that long, so why keep it running?
thats what i do.. every damn day...
This evening (Monday) when I got on I was super excited that there was 0 queue. Then I saw the message "maintenance starting soon" and realized why there wasn't a queue. Jebaited
my queues have remained the same on diabolos since early access. 2-6k at peak hours. legit nothing has changed i envy the worlds with fast queues. so tired of playing early
As an Aussie playing on Shinryu, I've not had very long queue times at all... but it's definitely been bad if other servers and other data centres are so full that they're suspending all new sales and free trials of the game.
Well I'll be more than happy to help lighten the load for our Japanese friends who play on Shinryu when the Oceanic Data Centre opens up.
But honestly... even if I were faced with a server queue that long, I would NEVER resort to going back to WoW.
Same! Even got 3weeks compesation and tommorrow bugfixes .For me since 10 years of WOW it feels refreshing having high hopes and expectations for an xpac and have it not failing and being utter shitshow till X.3 patch, even the que is fine for me to finally getting a quality xpac from the start!
P.S: No breast milk was stolen during this essay in SE!

Log que at 11:08 PM less than 900 in Que.
Yeh 4k is around a 2-3 hour wait
The queue would have to get up to over 50 or 60 million before I'd consider WoW.
Damn after hearing all the other queue times in the other worlds Exodus isn’t that bad lol
funny i'm in that server. around 5pm PST I am queue at 500, most days recently
I don't really keep that close of track on the exact time from when I enter the queue to when I get into the game, but on Siren I feel like I've never had to wait more than 2 hours. Even in the evening when it seems the busiest.
Exodus chads rise up, so glad Primal isn't the streamer server lol
When was this? Tonberry on weekend at 7 pm probably max 350 ish.
Nowadays whenever I came back from work it's 30 or fewer
Of all the games he could play while sitting in queue he chose WoW.
To be fair, it's probably emptier hence next to no queues.

What else does he ever play?
We all make bad choices, now and then.
@@Giliver It's the only games he streams. I'm sure he plays more than just these 2.
as much as I like the guy, glad he isn't on my datacenter. I logged in at 1pm and had a queue of 24 people.

@@StubbsTheWolf literally the one that every streamer is on in US lol
@@queenbean7071 true, but unless you're super hardcore and need to get in right away most people can wait.
3k peak time here. I usually get on in 5-15min at 3pm
4k takes several hours if not longer. Log on earlier and this won't be such a problem. Also, move your character to the Crystal data center, the queues are about half as long even at the busiest times.
Asmongold has an additional problem though. If he moves then a bunch of people would just move with him to be on the same server as him, thus he'd just migrate the problem with him.
Hopefully 6.01 makes a measurable difference. I've been lucky, but I doubt that'll be the same deal when the game is live again.
I'm not sure what data center you are on but I haven't seen 4k q's in a few days. Also the q runs fairly quickly now. You could always start your q, go mess around in wow (I literally have zero to do in there since I'm max everything) and go back when your q pops.
I mean it's the server asmon is on, of course the queue will be hell.
I'm on NA I Jenova, not his server, but data center and I have had no problem. I get on around 11am-1pm and the most it's been for me is like 50 people in Q.
Peak hours still a monster but other than that, once get in, the servers are pretty fine.
Most EU servers have 4k+ queues on peak times still.
Just taken a look after I gt home from work and it's almost 5k.
I literally can't play on weekdays due to this.
@@RiseInAfterlife I got around it by investing in a K55 corsair keyboard. I just let it run the 123 124 Combo while busy doing something else. It's usually pretty easy to get in the game in the morning.
There's also a .exe I heard about that people use the keep on the game. Check around the forums for it if you think it will help your experience.
@@sillytrash8502 I am not interested in letting my pc run when nobody's home for ~11 hours tho.
early morning or between 1 or 2 is usually pretty fast about 300 it goes so fast
4k que was like 3 Witcher s2 episodes for me, worked out great 😁
in Elemental, i rarely get on the 50s.. so i guess its fixed somehow
Yoshi P would say:
Go for it my friend, we don't stop you from playing other games
Sometimes when I wake up (I work nights so its like 3pm) I start the log in process just incase I want to play. If I dont do this I'd get stuck waiting at least an hour since its peak hours lol.
I switched from WoW to FFXIV when ShB came out 2 years ago but have now cancelled my sub to FF and gone back to WoW. WoW may be slightly ass, but at least I can play it without waiting 2 hours.
You probably never played wow during the release of expansions prior to BFA. I remember waiting in 6 hour queues when I started playing wow.
@@nikvezunchik omg how can u leik wow and not ff omg.copiummmm 🤤
I mean, WoW certainly doesn’t have 4 hours worth of players to wait through to play it right now.
Best to play in non peak hours in the NA (12 PM PST - 10 PM PST). That's when your queue get small, hell here in gilgamesh, i got number 22 on my queue at 12 AM in the morning.
12pm-10pm PST is... peak hours for NA regions though (3pm-1am EST). Best login results are between 1am-9am PST (4am-12pm EST).
Was that 12am pst or est? My guess would be pst cause 12 am est you’re looking at more than 22 in line. It’s usually still in the thousands

@@mrdantebloodwolfe5979 WOW, hope that is a sign that the waits will be getting shorter overall lol
1K = 1 hour
It's not that he would "rather" play WoW. It's that he stated he didn't want to stream that long. He didn't want to work all day.
The queue for Lamia has gone down to barely 3k on a weekend night at like 7-8pm? under 50 at 8am and almost instant at 11p-12am.
I think last night I was at 1.7k at 7:30pm when I got home from work and I was shocked
well..good thing its monday morning atm
Elemental gang.
Worst I've seen in for Kujata was about 3000 on release night.
Hopefully he knows about the way to drop into another, less populated server (If there are any on NA atm)
title is taken out of context....
Everyday I get 3 to 4 k in que. But it takes 30 min to pop so I can wait
He could just have the queue running in the background, i have. Meanwhile i play Planetside 2
I hope they get the new Oceanic servers up that should make some room.
unfortunately it's understandable, and it's not a good publicity for the game when it's shining so much..
If i were one of the top eng in SE, I'd REALLY REALLY, try to boost the hybrid approach of offloading some server to aws and solve the relevant issues at the point of offering a serious bonus salary to the engineering team..
a launch where "current players" can't be arsed to stay in queue and where you cannot "profit" and augment the userbase is a lose-lose situation if i ever saw one :)
My queues have been getting faster and somewhat smaller, a week ago having over 4k people in queue at like 4 pm was the norm, now i log in at 6-7pm and i have to wait a bit over an hour with 1.5k people in queue
The messy queues basically made me quit and I get priority. Still love the game but it's pretty unacceptable as a MMO to have server congestion and login queues this awful.
The game has high expectations everyone and their mother wants to play how is it unacceptable lol
that's a 6 hour wait lol i went back to wow
RIP
Meanwhile on Kujata: In queue: 34
pretty crazy that the queue problem has gone on this long. if you can only log in on prime time itll take you legit upwards of 4 hours to get in, a month after release. this is unacceptable by square even if the expansion is incredible, it'll all be for nothing if half the players cant get in, especially newcomers.
Well, think about it this way: do we really want WoW players in our community?
its such a bummer. either need to rush and get the most out of playtime or just sit and avoid everything in the community so you don't see too much.
Problem is they can't solve it due to the semiconductor shortage. The equipment needed to set up servers just isn't available on the market rn.
SOUTH AMERICAN DATA CENTER PLZ
I always login during the down times and keep up for when I want to play, so I have yet to see a que over 50 when trying to login. But hopefully this patch makes it a tiny bit easier and less error codes for all those who cant do that.
patch is going to make it worse since it will have new content.
Gotta play in the morning.
Started freetrial in primal lamia and my queues are never higher than 50
I've managed to at least get through the MSQ even though I have a full time day job and I was dealing with final exams during early access. So even with the queues I've managed to get a tolerable amount of play time (for me anyway).
You must not sleep much?!
lol depend on which realm you are, usually in siren at peak hours i get 2k and it doesn't more than an hour, i watch shit or do soemthing else while waiting so it really doesn't bother me
This happened when he wasn't really trying to play FFXIV I think. He was just reacting to stuff and then decided out of the blue to log in and the queue was that long. I think when he does stream it again he'd know to log in earlier.
I'm a Free Trial player because I cannot afford a sub...I'm super close to finishing all the content available on the Free Trial. But since the Expansion dropped I've been able to play once...just once. I'm sooooo frustrated. I just want to finish the fucking game so I can feel mentally free to move on to something else. I'm the kind of person that if I move on to something else now I know I won't come back and finish the HW content...and I really don't want to do that. /cry
I mean if you really wanna just do that but you can’t find the time in the morning or nights to play, login earlier and then try using an auto hotkey to jump in place till your able to get on for real.
The sub is only 12 bucks a month man....come on....

I got dc at 19:00 and had 5k queue. I dc A LOT lately around that time so I know it is a 4-5 hours queue, so I went to play WOW too. I dc again at 21:30 and I called it a day for FFXIV. This situation is simply put unacceptable and the game is unplayable. The reason I like FFXIV so much is because it doesn't stress me at all, but all this queue and dc stuff puts a pressure to me to do things ASAP coz every minute could be the last minute of your gaming session. WOW offers queue skip if you dc, FFXIV doesn't which is a really big issue but If it did have it, then probably the queues would have been impossble.
You want queue skips???
sounds like a good way to lag everyone out and giving you actual broken gameplay as the servers cant handle all the people paying for queue skips
@@queenbean7071 In WoW if you are logged in, you play with your friends and you disconnect for 1-3 minutes, then you skip the queue and reconnect. It is called grace period or something.
@@SgtBlane The capacity of the server remains the same. What changes is that the queue will move slower and it could put extra pressure to the log in servers. When I say that the situation is unacceptable I'm referring to the long queues. Everybody knew this will happens and they had more than enough time to prepare for it, but they went cheapo.
@@mikep.7146 You understand what the market is like for getting servers right? They've been trying to prepare for it. They're trying to open a whole new Datacenter and add entire new servers to NA and EU DCs.
They can't get the servers though, and because of Covid, when they do have them, they can't get the right/enough people out to install them due to travel restrictions.

That logically makes no sense. The Q was there before he attempted to log into the game.
