Thanks Colin. It looked very scary and I was glad I was in work. Glad everyone was ok too. Can even think about if it had been a solo boater 😬. It is a beautiful area though and loved the Saltersford arm. Hope you are good ❤️

That little nook where you ended up looked really cool, like some kind of little boat village. Thanks for sharing, and I hope you three have a wonderful week.

Hey Stephen. Oh no, sorry about the laptop. 😢. Glad you managed to get to watch. It really looked scary, so pleased they managed to sort it. Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday. ❤️

I love all the different ares that you pass on the canals, they give a differing side to towns and cities and even industrial parts are a contrast to the lovely tranquil parts. What a shock, Pete and Carolines boat getting stuck, and Paul, you loosing your footing. Guess all these things make you a bit more aware. Looking forward to the Hatton locks vlog, I wanted to do them in October when on my brothers boat, its doable from Dunchurch but he said no thank you, so I'll come through with you instead in your vlog. Hopefully Anthony, you'll be around for them, and maybe lock keepers? Enjoyable vlog thank you, happy cruising xxx
Hey Susan. It is amazing how different places look by the canals. That looked really scary with the locks. Glad I was at work to be honest. Lucky they were all had their wits about them. @@anthonysmith-storey9247 we're good thanks. We've put a ton of grease on ours so out testing today. Taking a couple out who donated a lot of money to a children's mental health charity for a day cruise. Good on them! We hope to make it very special for them!!
Hi Anthony and Paul. That was an eventful day. Glad Paul didn’t do any more damage than a wet foot! Thanks for explaining about what could happen if the button gets stuck in the gate. An inexperienced boater could not realise until it was too late. Have a great weekend. Take care. Nick
Hey Nick. Yeah, thankfully he didn’t hurt his ankle. It definitely was scary watching the lock situation. Shows how quickly things can happen. Glad they all had their wits about them. Hope you have a nice relaxing Sunday. ❤
What an eventful cruise! Paul, you are very spoilt with a fresh bacon roll delivered to the boat. Hope that Caroline had a lovely birthday and anniversary. Anthony was missed, but I assume he was at work. Thanks as always.
It really did look eventful Anthony. I never get a bacon sandwich brought to me 😂. After all the drama, Caroline enjoyed the rest of the day (eventually). I was at work but back next week. Have a lovely Sunday. ❤
Heart pounding moment for all concerned, and I wonder how many buttons have been stuck before? Could be disastrous for a solo boater, but nothing but happy endings for a birthday wedding anniversary! 🥂🎈
Thanks for taking us along on this beautiful cruise and well done for saving what could've been a disaster. Shame that Anthony wasn't on this one, I don't know where he is working at the moment but I presume that it must be a fair drive to and from the boat everyday. I hope that you three are doing well. Have a lovely weekend. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Cheers Stevie. Glad you enjoyed. I am working near Manchester so it is over 200 mile round trip 🙄. Slowly heading back up North now so 🤞, closer to work. Have a fab weekend ❤
Thanks for the video Paul. I wanna shout out to Pete and Caroline for their kind hearts. Great to have good friends and help look out for you. Amazing to see how your 2 boats helped each other!
It has been amazing travelling with them. So sad when we parted company the other week. They have definitely become lifelong friends. Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤
That was a bit dangerous Paul good job you didn’t break an ankle yikes! And my goodness scary for Pete and Caroline’s boat in the lock. You think it looks easy in the lock but you definitely need to pay attention. Take care you two and of course Dexter❤
Hey Judith. He was really lucky he didn’t break his ankle. Poor Pete and Caroline. Looked very scary. Glad everything turned out ok. Hope you have a lovely week ❤
Glad everything turned out well at the end. As usual I really enjoyed this cruise and Captain Paul you did a great job flying solo (missed Anthony though on this one). The last mooring looked like a great place and it must make all the difference when the staff and volunteers are so nice and helpful. Glad you enjoyed your few days there with your friends. Happy cruising guys and thanks for sharing your adventures.
Hey Louise. I think I was pleased I missed the drama this week 😬 . Saltersford was beautiful. Really enjoyed mooring there. The staff were great too. Hope you have a lovely relaxing Sunday ❤
Hi Anthony and Paul, missed you Anthony on this beautiful cruise. Paul it’s was a lucky day you could have twisted your ankle or broke something so I guess a wet boot isn’t so bad. Pete and Caroline WOW that could have been a real tragedy. So glad everyone keep your wits about you and saved the boat.
Thanks Penney, looks like I was better in work on this one 😯. Lucky Paul didn’t do any damage. The lock situation was very scary. You could definitely hear the panic. Luckily they all acted so quickly and managed to avoid anything more serious. Hope you have a fab weekend and take care❤
Glad you decided not to moor in Leamington Spa by Morrisons - that was where Martyn had his wallet stolen from the boat last summer. It rather put us off stopping there.
He is the sweetest. He copes better with these stairs but he is getting on now and sometimes needs a bit of assistance. He melts my heart every day. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Hey Jan. I was glad I missed all the drama. That could have been a bad inversion injury when Paul fell. Glad everyone was ok after the lock situation too. Dexter is definitely settled bless him. Hope you have a good weekend ❤
Crikey, that was a bit worrying, thankfully you were near the top of the lock, so only a few inches of water difference, but shows just how quick things can happen in a lock! You could really hear the panic in Pete’s voice! So glad everything was ok and no damage done 🥰 Loved the vlog, shame we didn’t see Anthony though, miss you guys, hope we see you again soon xx 😘
Hey guys. There was a lot of cussing. Pete said he could feel the stern move a few inches and thought it was going to sink. Thankfully all was ok. Miss you guys too. Hopefully we can all catch up over winter somewhere. ❤
Hi Paul, Anthony and Dexter-Dog. Nice cruise. I liked Paul's Butch voice, it did make me smile when Paul said "it was his Butch voice". Sorry that Paul got his foot wet in the canal (because of a gap in the sidewalk of the canal). Missing Anthony this week🤣. That Bacon Butty that Caroline brought to Paul looked so yummy. How lucky was Paul? The Lock incident just goes to show how quickly an issue can develop. Well done to Paul for immediately sizing up the situation and taking control. It was nice to see how Caroline and Paul were then able to take quick action to calm the situation down. I can fully understand how Pete must have been feeling at the stern. It was rather cute when Dexter cried for Paul when he (Paul) got off the boat to do a lock. I'm very pleased for you both, that your batteries seem to be working fine now. Another great, entertaining and nicely edited Vlog. Thank you. Take Care. Spoolbox.
Hey Spoolbox. Why do people do that, change their voice if there is a group of “manly” people 😂. Missed being there this week too. I never get a bacon butty 😂. It really does show how quickly things can happen in a lock and how dangerous they can be. He said he felt like the stern was dropping. Must have been really scary and you could definitely hear it in his voice. Dexter hates it when we get off without him. Batteries seem to be good which is such a relief. Glad you enjoyed and hope you have a lovely weekend ❤
Omg 😱. That was a scary moment for you all. Thankfully you sorted it quickly enough and no damage done. Just shows how things can go wrong quickly in locks. Lovely cruise again and the saltersford arm looks amazing. Definitely one for the bucket list. Have a great week x
It really was, for once I was pleased I was in work for once Phil. Does show how quickly things can go wrong. Saltersford was a lovely mooring, the staff were lovely too. Definitely need to visit. Hope things improve for you. Have a good week ❤
Wow that was a scary moment and it all happened so fast. I think I would be a bundle of nerves 😂. Great cruise and loved the scenery. Have a great weekend guys.
They did great getting out of that situation Mark. It really does happen quickly when something goes wrong. Glad everyone was ok. Hope you have a fab weekend too ❤
100% Alan. That is why I am reluctant to let people I don’t know do the locks for us. So easy for things to go wrong. Pleased it ended ok. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Given how quiet your boat is, the ambient sounds make your cruising vlogs appreciately better. No annoying (sometimes incongruent) music to mask the engine's noise is one positive upside of your NB. Cheers!
Definitely love the fact that you can hear the surrounding nature. Music does sometimes have a roll but hate it when it is used for using sake. Have a great weekend ❤
Made up that it seems to be resolved. The generator hardly kicked in today (only when cooking). Definitely loving the quiet cruising. Have a lovely weekend ❤
A great trip Paul. It appears you are well on your way to mastering the new boat! 🙂Very interesting to watch the issue with the lock, I'd never thought about that hazard! Such lovely scenery - green with envy here. Hope you both enjoy the new spot for a few days - looks lovely. Say hi to Anthony. *hugs*
He is definitely becoming an accomplished solo boater. I am yet to do a lock on my own. Locks are really dangerous. It only takes a second for it all to go wrong and was so glad I missed the drama. The mooring was fab. Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤
Wow, how scary, but I’m so thankful everything was well in the end. It was interesting to see a much busier part of the canal system. Glorious weather as well. Love to you all. 🙌😘🐶
It really looked scary Michael. I was glad I wasn’t there. Thankfully no one was hurt. That stretch definitely was busier. Been on the river for a few days now and can sometimes be hours before we see anyone. Hope you have a great weekend. Love from us all. ❤
It definitely does Catherine. Good job they all had their wits about them or the day could have ended very differently. Definitely learn from situations like that. Best wishes and have a lovely weekend ❤
I love watching you cruise, especially with Pete and Caroline. That was kind of scary to watch when the button got caught. Thank goodness it all worked out, especially on their anniversary and Caroline's birthday. Take care and give Dexter a hug from Aunt Leigh in Texas.😊
Hey Leigh. It really did look scary. Happens so quickly too. Glad everything was ok. Not the best thing to happen on special days like that. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Hey guys. Glad you enjoyed. It is a beautiful stretch so hope you enjoy the cruise. Hatton flight is tiring, especially if there are no volunteers. Enjoy your trip and the weekend ❤
We are so lucky to have such amazing friends Claudia. Looked like quite a day, glad I was in work. Glad Paul wasn’t hurt. That could have been nasty. Have a fab weekend ❤
Hey Dawn. It really was. Glad I wasn’t there. Shows how quickly things can turn. Glad it ended well. Hats off to them all for their quick reaction. Was a great mooring. Have a lovely weekend ❤.
I, Pauline, relate to the slipping in from missing concrete. At the top of the Hatton flight, when topping up with water, my leg went down the gap when sorting the hose but I went right down with one leg between the boat and the towpath. Fortunately, Wayne and Derek came to my rescue to help me out. I had a cracking bruise on my arm though.
Hey Guys - Always great to see you! I'm always so envious of your journeys, but I'm never a fan of the locks! So glad this "event" turned out well! Love, love the BIG sky lights! Stay well & have a great weekend! 💕🐾
Hey Kathy. Locks really can be dangerous and we do take them for granted. I guess that incident is a wake up call for us all, shows how quickly things can go wrong. Loving the skylights too. So much brighter in the boat. Have a best weekend ❤
Hi Paul and Anthony, thanks for the video once again it always amazes me. How noisy that Bow thruster is compared to normal forward motoring but I suppose you don’t use it very much but it’s always good to have. Thank you once again keep up the good work with everything you do. I really enjoy your videos on the electric Narrow boat , Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 from the big island 🏝️
Hey Cliff. Glad you enjoyed. The bow thruster on this boat sounds like a jet engine in comparison to the silent motor. Definitely useful to have in tricky situations. So glad you are enjoying the vlogs. Hope you have had a good week and enjoy the weekend. Take care ❤
Beautiful trip 99% of the way. Pete was so lucky, it can for many reasons be scary in some locks. You’re becoming quiet the experienced lobe boater, we have to get Anthony away from work. Buy Pools tickets guys. Sold the house and tonight is our last night here, I may have to catch up on videos as we’ll have very little internet. Take care guys and love to Dex. 💕
He was really lucky Pauline. It shows how quickly things happen. Definitely need to stop working. 😢. Blimey, where are you off to? Are you getting a boat? Hope you have a fab weekend❤
@@anthonysmith-storey9247. Our big want is the narrowboat and we still haven’t totally given up on the idea. There’s been some beauties come into my email in the last few weeks and at good price, but why are they such good prices. It’s so hard from over here buying over there. Enquired about two but both were gone by the time I got an answer. I have a feeling we’ll end up staying here. It’s $6000AUS just to get the two dogs over there. Take care.
@@paulinehiggins8239 aww sad. I know what you mean though. We looked at second hand boats at the start too but had the same issue of them being snapped up. ❤️
Loved the new intro to the video ☺️ Gosh, I really did feel for Pete and Caroline - that must have been very scary!! Glad the day finished in a lovely place and moods were lifted. Have a fabulous weekend 🥰
Thanks Lesley. Paul worked hard on that. I wasn’t there but it certainly looked scary. Things happen so quickly. Glad all turned out well. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Super scary moment!! I’m really glad it all worked out okay. I hope Caroline could enjoy her birthday/anniversary after all that! Thanks for the lovely cruise. Xx
I am glad I wasn’t there to witness it Eric. She did have a good day in the end. It shows how quickly things can go bad. Have a lovely relaxing Sunday ❤️
What a lovely time you all had. Looks amazing where you moored up .......Plus that was a very professional new intro to the channel. Much improved, and told the full story for all of us, plus any newbies who drop on by. Superb job Paul. ❤️
@anthonysmith-storey9247 Paul's hard work paid off. It was great content, well spoken and informative, very natural and very professional. He should be really chuffed. All good here. Too hot all dry, but the storm passed within 15 minutes. Now it's suffocating again. Lots of love to you three. . Loved the video this afternoon. A very nice surprise when it popped up xxxxx
Hi, gentlemen! What a cruise and views! Caroline's Birthday Bacon Baguette looked tasty. They are great neighbors for you. 😊 What a scary time you had in the lock, so glad all turned out well. You're doing 21 locks next?!? 😮 Happy safe cruising. See you next week! 💚💚💚
We have had the best time with those guys Julia. Glad I wasn’t there that day, it looked so scary. Glad they were ok though. The Hatton flight was hard work but beautiful. Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤
Oof! I shuddered a bit when I saw Paul stumble! And then, showing where the curb was rough, Paul was darn lucky his leg didn't get scraped. That thing at the lock when Pete & Caroline's boat got caught in the gate was a bit alarming too! There was a very long bleep there, I suspect covering some blue language. Poor Caroline, there it is her birthday and anniversary, and Pete's shouting. Hope she was okay after that. 😬
Hey Debba. I guess Paul could have broke his ankle. The lock situation looked very scary. I am glad I wasn’t there. I think Pete just panicked because he could feel what was happening being on the boat. The rest of the journey was uneventful thankfully. Have a lovely weekend ❤
I have been looking thru my watercolor brands for the nearest greenbto your boat color. It has to be winsor newton sap green. I guess that makes sense because it is an English manufacturer( although made in France) daniel smiths ' is to olivey and so is m.graham , both American..lol....sometimes your green ( in 2 ways) boat seems to disappear in the landscape. But in my back yard with the rhodos and black walnut it wouldn't....happy travels.
Hey Marjorie. Aww, I like that it is sap green. It definitely does blend into the English countryside but can see how it wouldn’t where you are. Hope you have a lovely evening ❤
The top chain on the front and rear fender should have a link that is half sawn through, or replaced with a couple of cable ties. This way if the button gets caught on the lockgate the link will let go rather than pulling the bow under. Boats have been sunk doing exactly what you have just shown.👍
Yeah, I am sure that is what our last boat had Phil. It is scary and definitely can sink boats. This is what has happened to a boat recently. 😢. Thinks happen so quickly in locks. Have a great evening. 😊
Hey Phil. They were charging and discharging unequally. They have connected them now with a bus bar which seems to have rectified the situation I am pleased to say. Have a great weekend ❤
Hey David. We usually do a four hour cruise on 20% deplete. To too this up would probably only take about an hour from the gennie so not too bad. See you when we get back up north ❤
So much drama . . . a trapped boat, a near-death stumble into the canal, a wailing canine, and a wife forced to cook for others while celebrating her anniversary and birthday . . . reminds me of an old episode of 'Dynasty' . . .
😂. Not a shoulder pad in sight either. Glad the lock situation wasn’t more serious. Shows how quickly it can happen. Poor Caroline. Have a fab weekend ❤
The button through the gate thing happened to a boat that we were sharing the Northgate Locks with in Chester, going down into the basin. Young couple, the wife was inside with twin babies, I was one side of the lock and the young husband accidentally knocked his boat very slightly into forward gear when he came across his roof and up the ladder to wind the paddles the other side. I noticed before he did and shouted a warning, Jim got onto the stern of the other boat and put it in reverse but his front button was stuck by then so reverse wasn’t going to do any good. I’d wound the paddle my side down again, the front of his boat was about four inches out of the water. I’d run to the top paddles to let some more water in but before I’d got very far the button popped out of the gate and the boat went SPLASH! Down into the water. The young man said something along the lines of ‘Oh bugger, I’m going to be in trouble with the wife now!’ Meanwhile, she was still inside with her babies. I’ve no idea whether she’d been discombobulated at all, but it was scary. All part of the adventures of boating though, eh? P.S Caroline deserves a medal for staying so calm even though Pete was in a bit of a panic.
It is crazy how quickly things can happen Sheila. I bet that couple were really panicked. Good job you were on the ball. I think Pete was so panicky because he was on the boat. Glad it all turned out ok in the end. Have a fab weekend and belly rub for Fudge❤.
The cill marker is behind you going up in a lock and you only keep forward of it when going down, the boat drifted forward. You should always keep your boat forward of the cill marker when going down 👍
Front button ...one chain on one side and the other side should be a string or cord so in such circumstances the string/cord would snap and the other side which is the chain stops ya losing ya button...as practiced by the old working narrowboats.............simples...oh yeh them locks in a panic just knock the cuffs off and the sluices close on their own
Happy Friday! ❤ First off that was pretty terrifying. It takes such a short time for things to go terribly wrong and if the stern was rising I can certainly understand why Pete was panicking. Glad things worked out OK. I know about watching the cill but getting stuck in the gate like that is something I haven't heard of before. Other than that is was a lovely solo cruise for Paul except for the hole in the concrete. That could have been an injury instead of just getting a foot wet. 😊 It's good to hear that Dexter went down the steps and went to bed on his own. Before he would have had to wait till he could have help which would be difficult on a solo trip. 🥰 BTW, I'm with Paul. I like the art but really dislike the tagging graffiti. ❤ Have a wonderful weekend and take care.
Happy Friday Dorothy. It definitely shows how quickly things can go wrong. Pleased it ended ok. The hole in the concrete could have been worse. Dexter has started to become more settled and when he has had enough, takes himself into the boat, which is great. Agree re street art but hate the tags too. Have a great weekend ❤
Oh, nearly forgot. Saw the narrowboat with the Liver Bird on it. Something I don't understand. When it's Liver as in Liverpool, it's said with a short I. But when it's the Liver Bird, the I is long. Why is that? Any other word where liver shows up, the I is always short, as in liverwurst, livery, etc. ???
Awwh bless Caroline ❤
❤️

Cheers Stevie. Glad you enjoyed. I am working near Manchester so it is over 200 mile round trip 🙄. Slowly heading back up North now so 🤞, closer to work. Have a fab weekend ❤
Thanks for the video Paul. I wanna shout out to Pete and Caroline for their kind hearts. Great to have good friends and help look out for you. Amazing to see how your 2 boats helped each other!
It has been amazing travelling with them. So sad when we parted company the other week. They have definitely become lifelong friends. Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤
It’s nice you can still get your fix for the sound of a traditional engine - enjoying the beautiful scenery !
Thanks Katherine. We have parted company now so none of the engine noise fix now😢 Have a lovely weekend ❤
Oh my, glad no one got dragged under 😮! Safe cruising!
It looked very scary Arleen. Glad it all turned out ok. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Always wonderful to see all the beauty💥💥
Glad you are enjoying Deborah ❤️
Glad the lock incident caused no more than a bit of anxiety. Lovely vlog, thank you.
Thanks Jane. Me too. Glad I wasn’t there to be honest. Definitely shook them all up. Have a good weekend ❤
Good start to your journey. Even food delivery. Then the panic moment, that luckily ended ok.
It really was. Glad I missed the drama! Have a lovely weekend. ❤
Wow! That was a scary incident in the lock! Stay safe!
It really shows how dangerous they can be Ian. Glad they were all ok. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Great Video and Scenery.
Thank you and thanks for watching 👍
Glad you decided not to moor in Leamington Spa by Morrisons - that was where Martyn had his wallet stolen from the boat last summer. It rather put us off stopping there.
I remember you telling us about that incident.
Shocking. Leamington Spa itself is beautiful too. ❤
Good to see Dexter. Looked as if stairs on the boat are a challenge for him up or down . Love that pup.
He is the sweetest. He copes better with these stairs but he is getting on now and sometimes needs a bit of assistance. He melts my heart every day. Have a lovely weekend ❤
What a lovely place to moor up ! My heart went into my mouth when Paul stumbled. Dexter is getting comfortable with his new home
@@anthonysmith-storey9247 aww that would be lovely! xx ❤️

Great video glad all was well in the end ,have a lovely weekend both of you 😊and Dexter.🐕
Thanks Christopher. We were relieved for Pete and Caroline. Have a great weekend. ❤
Hope you have a fab weekend too ❤
Panic is the last thing to do. Glad it all worked out. Just be careful. Never rely on anything but yourself and crew. Be safe. Enjoy your trip.
Wow that was very scary with one day more aboard! Glad you all kept level heads and saved the day
It did look scary Sheryl. I know it shook them up a bit. Shows how quickly things can happen. Glad everyone was safe. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Glad to see the batteries are doing well, what a wonderful way to travel quietly! Love narrowboats but hate the noise of the Diesels.
Good video on cut cranking it thanks lee
Cheers Lee. Have a fab weekend ❤
That was scary, just shows how things can happen. We had a few moments like that but learnt from them. Love to you 3 xxx
It definitely does Catherine. Good job they all had their wits about them or the day could have ended very differently. Definitely learn from situations like that. Best wishes and have a lovely weekend ❤
Oooh that could have been nasty Paul
I love watching you cruise, especially with Pete and Caroline. That was kind of scary to watch when the button got caught. Thank goodness it all worked out, especially on their anniversary and Caroline's birthday. Take care and give Dexter a hug from Aunt Leigh in Texas.😊
Hey Leigh. It really did look scary. Happens so quickly too. Glad everything was ok. Not the best thing to happen on special days like that. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Great vlog again. Very timely for us as we are going to cruise that area in a couple weeks. Looking forward to the vlog on the Hatton Flight. Cheers
Hey guys. Glad you enjoyed. It is a beautiful stretch so hope you enjoy the cruise. Hatton flight is tiring, especially if there are no volunteers. Enjoy your trip and the weekend ❤
thank God for such good friends! 🙏 How wonderful to see such companionship, Paul I hope you didn't get hurt at this gap in the banking
We are so lucky to have such amazing friends Claudia. Looked like quite a day, glad I was in work. Glad Paul wasn’t hurt. That could have been nasty. Have a fab weekend ❤
That was scary for a bit, it could happen so quick, good thing you all reacted fast. Looks like a nice place to spend a few days. 🙋🏼♀️
Hey Dawn. It really was. Glad I wasn’t there. Shows how quickly things can turn. Glad it ended well. Hats off to them all for their quick reaction. Was a great mooring. Have a lovely weekend ❤.
Good that Caroline and Pete have one more day on board!
@@westaussiejeff1547 😂. Absolutely Jeff.
Blimey. That could have been so much worse Pauline. Good you had help on hand. Not too far behind us now. Safe travels ❤
My word that was scary seeing Pete and Caroline's boat getting stuck. Loved the live fb feed today ❤ love to you all x
It really was Michele. Just shows how quickly things can go wrong. Aww good to see you watching. Glad you enjoyed the live. Love to you guys ❤
Nice vlog as always. It seems the locks around that neck of the woods are as dangerous as the high seas.
Thanks James. They were so lucky. Things happen so quickly but glad it all worked out. Have a lovely weekend ❤
I hope it didn’t spoil Carolyn’s Birthday 🎂 not their Anniversary!
Very scary. Aside from that it was an excellent video. Thanks.

Thanks Kathy. I think when everything calmed down they managed to enjoy the rest of the day. It looked very scary. Have a good weekend ❤
Super scary moment!! I’m really glad it all worked out okay. I hope Caroline could enjoy her birthday/anniversary after all that! Thanks for the lovely cruise. Xx
It was a hit of a shock and glad nothing too serious happened. We all laugh about the day now xx
Such a wonderful vlog again but i do feel for Caroline. All that drama on her special day! I hope she eventually got some 🥮and 🥂to calm down! ❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed Beth. Paul worked hard on the intro. Hope you are good ❤
@anthonysmith-storey9247 Paul's hard work paid off.
Please be careful Paul when walking down the side rail in locks! Same thing as happened on the towpath could happen on the roof. One slip! Cheers!
Definitely don’t want to slip into a lock. Very dangerous places. Thank you for reminding him. Hope you have a lovely evening ❤
Lovely cruise despite scarey moment in lock. Glad it turned out ok in the end. Sounds like u sorted the batteries issue out. Best wishes. ❤
Thanks Trevor. Glad I wasn’t there. Looked very scary. Hope you are keeping well ❤
Missed seeing Dexter on this video 😢
He is still plodding along Jude ❤
We moored by the student accommodation. Absolutely fine and easy walk into town with some decent cafes nearby
Hey Ben. We weee told that that was an ok mooring. Glad it was ok for you. 😊
Wow such adventure..glad it worked out ok. As you approached the salterford arms there was a loud metallic screeching…what was that? Loved the vlog

After you finished at 70% how long did it take to fill up to full ?
I like my 6 hour cruises so wonder if 20% refil would be asking too much
24:37 Is that joystick for side thrusters?
It is 😊
The button through the gate thing happened to a boat that we were sharing the Northgate Locks with in Chester, going down into the basin.
Hmmmm, I wonder what that cill marker is for?
It wasn’t the cill he got caught on, it was the gate at the front.
@@anthonysmith-storey9247 I realise that but if you dont go beyond it you wouldn't get stuck on the gate would you!
The cill marker is behind you going up in a lock and you only keep forward of it when going down, the boat drifted forward. You should always keep your boat forward of the cill marker when going down 👍
@@Arbitrator207the cill marker has no bearing when going up in a lock. They got caught on the front gate not behind them where the cill marker is.
The cill and such seem so terrifying. Everything can go bad in seconds.
Exactly Andy. It doesn’t take long at all for things to go wrong. So pleased everything worked out ok in the end. Have a lovely weekend ❤
Front button ...one chain on one side and the other side should be a string or cord so in such circumstances the string/cord would snap and the other side which is the chain stops ya losing ya button...as practiced by the old working narrowboats.............simples...oh yeh them locks in a panic just knock the cuffs off and the sluices close on their own
Yeah, not sure what happened there. Our old boat used to have a weak link so it would snap.
Nothing stranger than the English language. 😂
You say you miss the sound of a diesel engine but the electric one is really loud
I think the bow thrusters are loud but the motor is really quiet. ❤
