About the game, played the first one a couple of years ago and wasn't particularly impressed. There are some effective and clever sequences, but most of it is just a collection of horror movie tropes that have been executed better in many other media products. The lack of real gameplay doesn't help either, you can watch a playthrough online and have almost the same experience. I think they did a better job with The Observer, but maybe that's just because I'm biased towards scifi and noire stories.

@@KatClay The Observer is pretty good if you dig its cyberpunk noir setting. Gameplay isn't particularly elaborate, but the story and setting are very intriguing and can easily keep the player hooked. I also finished The Medium yesterday and I'd say it's their best game so far. Jumpscares are kept to a minimum, resulting almost exclusively on the atmosphere and story, which went to some places that I would have never expected. Given that it's set in Poland and that it deals with their history, I'd say it was a personal project for them, and it shows. It also has more gameplay mechanics than their previous efforts, and though not all of them are very successful, at the very least they help keeping the game a bit fresh from time to time. If you like what Bloober tries to accomplish with their games, I'd say it's 100% worth a playthrough, just for the story alone. It also looks fantastic on the new consoles, but only 30fps. Hope everything goes well for you in 2024 and that your channel gets a well deserved growth!!
