Discovered that GM actually removed the ability to relearn from the Suburban 1500 LTZ ib 2011 at some point. I have a 2011 and had to have new FOBs programmed at a lock smith who use a scantool. Bought my own bi-directional scantool that had IMMO and can now do it myself.
It appears my suburban 1500 is the same. I missing that setting on the car. May I ask what bidirectional scan tool you bought that allows you to program your own fob.

@@TerenceDIY Yes sir! The one inside the car. The buttons beside the ✅ . I have no option to relearn or reset key of any kind. When I go through it, it goes through each category like car exit lighting on or off car light approaching on or off key lock when out of park. I hope that makes sense. It goes through all of the lock options. Do you think since it comes up at the end reset to factory is that something that I need to do? Every time I go to unlock my car now the alarm goes off and it’s extremely annoying I don’t know how to fix it

You need to slow down and show us which buttons you are pushing on the remote. At one point, it appeared you were pushing 2 buttons at the same time. Can anyone help with a little clearer instructions please? 2014 Chevy Suburban.

You are correct. They made it so you have to get one programmed by the dealer after 2011 I believe on the Suburban and 2013 on other vehicles.

So what did you do.
If your tahoe is a z71, LTZ, or any of the fully loaded packages you need to take it to the dealer or get a locksmith to do it

My Dad's 09 Silverado had that light. It turned out to be a bad front impact sensor.
