After graduating college at 22 and 4 years of work experience, I moved out and far away at age 26. I went on limited contact. I never went back. My lazy, alcoholic, dopehead, college dropout bachelor older brother was kicked out at age 37. When my wife and I got married I never told my parents. I did call them to tell them when we had a son and I insisted that we name our son after my wife's father. My father was outraged that his first name was not chosen as a first name or middle name! It's payback!
The only strange thing about this story of fiction is it being presented as text messages. Things like this happen person to person as its far easier to get under peoples skin and to look them in their face to see how much they are hurting them.
Another story about working from home, its getting old.
