- As a BMW Genius (product specialist) at BMW of Gwinnett Place in Metro Atlanta, I originally made and uploaded this video for a client of ours. In order to cover all the features in her particular X4, I needed to use 3 different vehicles that we had on the lot. One was a X4, and 2 were X3's. The X3 and X4 are nearly identical.

@@brianhinson6772 awesome! im at bmw of bakersfield and have also been there around 3 years coming December. likewise! there has been a rapidly increasing amount of new tech in these cars, i like to call them ipads on wheels! lol
Great overview and yes noticed the X3 on the inside and am smart enough to know the controls for X4 and X3 are virtually the same except for rear wiper. Its easier to criticize than compliment...just the world we live in...because all the commenters are perfect...also i learned a few things about my 2021 X4 so thanks!

very good and informative video Brian. I learned so many things that I was not aware off. Quick advice, for all the people that keeps pointing out that is not a X4, i would suggest to add that information on the description of the video, below the tittle so that a least people can be aware of it or just ad in parenthesis (various x3 and x4 were used to show the features) just a suggestion, keep those good videos coming.

@@brianhinson6772 I mean it! I was thinking about asking my dealer for a tutorial but then I remembered this video. So today I bought my first BMW ever. It's an X4 30i in Brooklyn Grey with the M sport package. I had to order it so unfortunately I won't have it for 6-8 weeks. I'm sure I'll be checking it's progress twice a day everyday until then lol.
Oh and the year is 2022
@@djsity Congratulations! That’s so exciting! And that’s a great new color. Keep in mind there are some big changes to the 2022 BMW X4, so you may want to review them with a Genius at your local dealership. But who knows, maybe I’ll record a new video for the 2022 model year before you get yours!

Sorry, Ed. I don’t know how to do that. That’s something the technicians do at the dealership I work at.
@@brianhinson6772 could you ask the question if I need to use a computer to reset it or can it be done on the dash board ?

Aboodnet The BMW X4 can if it is equipped with the optional Parking Assistant Package, which also gives the X4 the ability to self-park in perpendicular and parallel parking spaces!

Hello, Lin! Not all. The vehicle must have Comfort Access keyless entry to have kick-to-open/ kick-to-close. The kick must be straight forward and back and very quick. Also, the key fob has to be with you.

@@Lin-co4pc My pleasure. The X4 in this video uses the iDrive 6 operating system. Yours probably has the newer iDrive 7 OS. If your vehicle also has a flat screen instrument panel (Live Cockpit Pro), then from the Home Screen choose Car > Settings > Displays, then make sure Driving Mode View has a check mark in the box. If you don’t have Live Cockpit Pro, then I don’t think the instrument panel changes colors with the different Driving Experience Modes. I hope that helps!
@@brianhinson6772 I don’t have live cockpit pro but other 2021 bmw x4’s and x3’s their instrument panel changes into a sport one when in sport mode. Is there a reason why?
@@Lin-co4pc Then it’s probably a Driving Experience or Instrument Panel setting I can’t remember right now. I can investigate. What are the last 7 digits of your VIN?
is this a base model x4?
Deja Armani It’s what BMW calls a core model. It’s not a M Performance or M model. It’s powered by a 4 cylinder turbo engine. Unlike most manufactures, BMW doesn’t have cookie cutter trim levels. Each BMW model has standard features, but many options are available, individually or in packages. If you’re shopping for a BMW, I suggest visiting BMWUSA.com and exploring the available options by using the Build Your Own tool. Or simply make an appointment at your local BMW Center.

Good catch! You are correct-the X4 does not have rear wipers. As I stated in the video, the description, and the comments, I used an X4 and some X3’s to create this vehicle overview specifically for one client. The X4 we had in inventory that day did not have all the features that hers did. Unfortunately, I reviewed the wipers while sitting in an X3 and forgot about that particular difference between the X3 and X4.

Erdogan Aydin Just to clarify, this was not a sales presentation nor a product review. It was a customized virtual tutorial for a client who already bought a X4 from the BMW Center where I work. At the time, the only other X4 we had in inventory did not have all of the features her vehicle did. In order to explain these features in a timely manner, I used an X4 and a couple of X3’s. The X4 and X3 are very similar since they are built with the same platform. I was very transparent about this in the beginning of the video.
This is even not the facelift from 2021 and that guy claims that the Modell is from 2022 😅
It clearly states this is a 2020 model year BMW. The refresh was for the 2022 model year X3/ X4

The UK.. wood trim stopped getting used about 15/20 years ago apart from perhaps old men in their 70s. 🤣👍
@@bh4560 Interesting! I had no idea. It’s still quite popular in the U.S. I’m generally not a fan of the glossy wood trims, but I do like the open pore wood trim options that BMW offers. The metal trims and piano black are also nice.
