But when I was looking for a car I looked at the x5 and the gle and I went with the x5 because it had more standard safety features and the car Is over all better in my opinion. Only complaint is the Digital gauge cluster is brighter in the gle then it is in the x5. Hope this helps.

It's actually not able to be adjusted anymore. 2021 models have something called a 48v mild hybrid system that removed that function to better support the batteries

Can you go into reverse without pushing the button in on the gearstick? Can you force the gear stick into reverse or do you have to push the button in at the same time.
Kelsey , had a question, I have the BMW X5 40i . I see the street shown at the bottom of the dashboard all the time, even though I haven't turned navigation on. Can you please tell me how to turn the internal gps off
Don’t be scared! That’s your intelligent safety system. Push that button and you can adjust the sensitivity of your lane departure warning, blind spot warning and frontal collision warning

I have a question though, I tend to spend my lunch hour in the car (not turned on) and the lights inside take somewhere from 15min-30 mins to turn off. Is there a way to turn off manually? I feel my battery might drain if I continue to do this 5 days a week.

Question, on the individual driver assistance settings, is that particular to your key so might the 2 key holders have 2 settings which default to that configuration when the car is operated by the particular key?

What are the silver plus and minus levers just behind and on either side of the steering wheel that pull forward with your fingers while gripping the steering wheel?
Both myself and my Husband drive our car and we both have very different seating preferences, I know you explained how to set the seating for 1 & 2, (is 1 & 2 the driver and passenger seat or is it the driver preference and we hit 1 or 2 for our preference when each of us is driving?) is there a way to set the seat to so when i am driving it will automatically adjust to my setting and same for my Husband when he is driving? Right now it seems to stay at "1" (driver seat) setting and "2" (passenger seat) setting? I'm sure our sales person told us that whoever starts up the car then the Drivers Seat will adjust to that persons preference (by the key used)?
So 1 is primary driver and 2 is secondary driver. It won’t adjust automatically while you’re driving but you can make your selection when you start the car and have it adjust to your preference that way. It’s a little weird with the key because it depends what profile that key is linked to. If you don’t have a profile it’ll default to whatever the seat was set to most recently

The brake is opposite up to turn it on “set parking brake” down to release it.
The reason the phone charging pad is either horizontal or vertical depends on whether the vehicle has the heated/cooled cup holders or not.
Not necessarily
My moms with the heated an cooled cup holders has it horizontal.
My 2021 has the pad vertical but wireless charging became no longer available I was told

I'd say maybe leave the car off? The lights turn off to avoid battery drain so i wouldn't worry too much

There isn’t a way to disable that as it’s a part of the 45e hybrid system. You can try putting it in sport but no promises

You can change in settings what mode your car starts in; i have a 2020 330i and i have it start in eco pro
3rd parties can sometimes help with that! Dealerships unfortunately cannot offer insight on something like that

I found the answer. They are paddles that change gears from the steering wheel when in Sport driving mode.

That sounds like the ambient temperature sensor but it's hard to say without seeing it
