Yes, Dimash's voice is perfect. You should listen to a fancam of Dimash vocalizing the Caccini version at a visit to Mumbai India in 2023 where he visited and sang for the office workers of the (I believe) the Indian Rolling Stone magazine. What a treat to hear Dimash up close singing acapella just for you. I believe it's on Facebook. His voice is indeed an instrument and does not really need music as it is pure music itself.

There are many versions of Ave Maria but this is completely new, composed especially for Dimash, by the pianist accompanying him on stage. Dimash asked for a new version to be written apparently. Dimash is Muslim and Igor is of Jewish heritage so that is maybe why he didn’t use any Christian words.Incidentally, Dimash can sing kneeling, crouching, bending over and even lying flat on the floor. He is amazing. I am living in the U.K. and relatively safely, of course, , but we obviously worry about the state of the world for the future of the children and listening to Dimash is definitely calming to the soul. Thank you! For coming back to Dimash, and for a beautiful commentary and reaction. Another reactor noticed the structure of this Ave Maria coinciding with the one by Caccini. It’s actually composed by Igor Krutoy, the bald pianist who was accompanying him, the most successful composer/ songwriter in Russia. Igor has partnered with Dimash on a number of songs.

Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there. Even though this isn't the Catholic Prayer version it still gets the message across beautifully x

When Dimash asked Master Krutoy to compose a new Ave Maria for him, he imagined an angel... Dimash said in an interview... and the two are overearthly wonderful. I'm lost for words.

Wow, 68 Ave Maria settings from 7 eras... but now 69! I mean, this song is on the same high level as Schubert's or Vavilov's (Caccini's) Ave Maria... also beyond all spirituality, just wonderful music.
* Igor Krutoy ( piano), *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia. His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.

Maestro Igor Krutoy shared the story of the creation of the work 'Ave Maria' for Dimash.
When writing a hit, Krutoy is guided by the Italian principle: every composer is worth exactly what his latest work is worth, which means that all previous successes and achievements do not count.
“On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result. It took me a few days to 'let' the composition 'lay' in my ears, soul and heart, and sent it to Dimash, who replied literally within half an hour that: ‘This is exactly what I wanted to hear', said Krutoy. It is not without reason that his friend and teacher, the maestro Igor Krutoj, predicts: “Believe me, in the future the world will be at Dimash’s feet.” (www)

Dimash asked Igor Krutoy (Russian composer at piano) to compose this for him. It is a new 'Ave Maria' for Dimash. It is not a version of any other 'Ave Maria', it is new, and is NOT a version or a cover. It stands alone. Dimash channels the angels. He lifts you up and takes you to the clouds and heaven and softly, gently, sets you back down on earth when he is done singing. He changes you and makes you feel blessed. A Christian song, composed by a Jewish man and sung by a Muslim man. He wanted this song to be for everyone in the world. And it doesn’t get much more universal than a song whose title can be translated as ‘Mother, help”. More important Dounia, I’m reading the news, following trusted sources in Gaza and Lebenon. I’m witnessing the atrocities, as Gazans have asked us to do. I cry every day, and I’m safe here in my country. But I am raising noise anyway I know how. I am calling on my government (Canada) to stop sending money to Israel. There have been protest marches in Toronto every weekend for a year.
