Honestly this survival situation really subverts most media, usually the group fights, a couple strong jerks try to take, over, people die, etc but no, everyone worked together survived effective and lead to a much different story that was overall more interesting.
That just goes to show you the difference in mindset of American survival movies/shows producers and Japans producers. I also love this concept better.

The same thing happened to the planes and ships that disappeared in the Bermuda triangle. Many think the planes will appear in the future and that will shock us for sure

This reminds me of that mystery train that vanished after entering a mountain's tunnel story theories implied that the train was spotted in the past.. i think it was a zennaya train? I dunno...any who... i love the context of this movie and how it turned out, i love these types of survival stories

@@darknessindawn True but you have to remember how big the country is, how many people. I'm afraid our per capita scientist/engineer ratio isn't that great. Our bench is strong but not deep, as it were. And of those, the number that (outside like 3 cities) would be on a train.... Yeah, no.

I watched a couple of episodes ...
I'm not Japanese in culture. Lived there a few years some 25 years ago. But some things simply didn't make sense to me.
You know you aren't in down town Toyoko, yet spend the first critical day doing absolutely nothing.
You stay in a hot metal train car with no ventilation, instead of the cool tunnel so you lose less water from sweat.
You see buildings in the distance but don't investigate.
You have a deep ravine, but don't walk the edge to see if it slopes down and there is water at the bottom.
You don't pick up items people leave behind even when there is obvious future uses for them.
Maybe I haven't watched enough to see these people get a clue, but nobody seems to be in survival mode. But the gist of their scouting is to head East and hit what they call a "desert" and to head west and hit a ravine. A location with this much vegetation is going to have standing pools of water. And nobody is trying to find ways to collect or boil it.
I really don't blame the younger kids leaving the train. They see the "adults" are clueless and think they will be better off on their own. They probably are right. In the few episodes I watched there doesn't seem to be any predators.

I mean none of these people are necessarily survival experts, they either might not know these things or in instances like the buildings they were too freaked out about the oddity of it to think rationally. They went as far as they did due to specific skills and a large group cooperation.

After the 1st day its time to explore whats around us to the fullest, especially seeing the landscape we were used to was changed so dramatically.
I'm not sitting in a hot traincar all day when we have a cool tunnel and a large lush forest infront of us.

In this situation, I would have started to gather supplies, and make shelter. With that many people we would have enough for multiple groups of 2 or 3 work on certain goals. I'm an okay survivalist, and work good with organizing people, so I feel like I would survive this situation❤❤

This feels like "Cage of eden" but with a small budget so we get a train instead of a plane. No prehistoric creatures but story is almost the same. Finding the tower, other half of the plane, Diary that details how the world ended. It would need a bigger budget to make "cage of eden" so instead we get this version. I still like it but.. ending is better on eden. Good suspense and build up with better explanation on how they got there and why.

This story is similar to Durango (a different beginning where the whole train and cars teleported to Jurassic era and got invaded by some raptors and dinosaurs; killing some passengers and then crash, stranded to survive).
Kind of reminds me back in to the future.

Wow. This was actually super cool!! Im used to the American movies where the survivors split into groups. People start killing eachother, most people stave except a couple people who hid food from everyone else. People fight over limited resources and only a handful of people make it back home
That's why I don't watch American shows anymore.

I would think he'd pronounce them correctly if he's seen the films, but he's butchered other names and things from other languages too. I minored in Japanese, so it bugged me. Plus, I lived there. I don't have an ear for many languages, but butchered Japanese bugs me a lot, even in official Dubs (Sa-SUU-ke instead of SAS-ke for Sasuke in the German dub) and oh, when romaji names are translated into Hungarian. I can see why(it helps with the actual correct pronunciation), but it still bothers my petty little heart to see things like "Jukava" instead of "Yukawa" or "hadzsime" for "hajime" or "súmacu" for "shuumatsu".
@TimeLady128 yeah, I hear ya; it bugs me too. However, I attribute some of the butchered words to people who have never been exposed to other languages, especially Asian ones.
