I am a 500 year old centurion, so none of my mortal friends are around to jam anymore. This really helps me forget about the bats in my cave. Very nice jam!
Don't worry, I've been around since 3000 BC and it does get easier after a while, besides the guitar really helps pass the time.
I’m Mr. Olympia, chicks dig it and and blues
113 years old blues man here. I contracted the blues way down in the Bayou. This backing track helped me get out bed this morning but my old lady is mad at me
Contracted?
113 wow
When your an old man like me, you don’t have much chance of finding friends to jam with. This is the next best thing! Really helps me to learn to improvise!
I agree. Backing tracks on RUclips have helped me tremendously.
Same for a beginner I plat 1 year and a half and it really helps. Rock the bleus👌

I was lucky and dumb enough to get called onstage for a blues jam at a bar. I'm a rythym guy and barely know the fundamentals... But I do know them. Anyway. Dude who calls me on stage was James browns guitar player. We're mutual aquantances. He hands me a guitar and yells "A... GO!!!!". Thank God I knew what that meant... It's blues in A, and your about to take a solo mofo! I pulled it off, but still come back to these lessons to sharpen my skills
iam -132.34 years old. This backing track really helped me in learning 12 bar blues.
really looking foward to your day of birth see ya in 132 years!!! maybe we can play together when that happends
I'm a newborn. This is the first backing track I've ever played.
I am 102 years old lonely man. This backing track really helped me in learning 12 bar blues.
That's really cool! I hope you're still having fun playing the blues!!!
i'm 103 and you're still a youngster
They say 102 is the new 101 ;-)
Shit when I was 102 I was leaping from building to building without getting a wedgie now I’m 178 can’t do much anymore but backflips off the porch 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Bro!! True 102? You are a friend dude
Yes the idea of the playbacks I also find pretty cool... however, the sound is partly extremely loveless and boring and thus not very inspiring. I would like to pay for it too, but then the quality of the drums would have to be better...
I am 14 and im literally just learning the pentatonic scale, this is what i use
Get into the CAGED system as early as you can buddy. It will open up the neck all the way. I wish I was playing at 14. Best of luck
I do Not have much experience with improvisation but playing this I played some incredibly beautiful sounding licks! I didn’t even know that I could play those licks. That’s the power of blues
That's the beauty of the blues.
Man I am with you 100% on that one.
I knew about it but never tried it.
Just recently I put a slow blues track in key of A on and looked up what key to play in which I also just found that tells what key harp to use in the key of whatever and man my wife came in the room and said she thought it was the video and not me playing.
I have a history of on and off playing since I was 14. .
I am now 68 but was never even near happy with my playing always just improvising in my mind the tune to play .
Not much of a variety.
Now I have moved miles up on the playing of this magnificent instrument .
further than I had ever imagined.
👍👍👍🙂
SERIOUSLY FOR ME TOO! I think somethings holding me back cuz idk what just happened😅
@Strykersolos the only way to get better is to jam with people or backing tracks....
@@Rockandrollgeerage let me have my moment…
I'm the reincarnation of a warrior from the year 3000 B.C named Orion and this was pretty fun to jam to.
Where can i get those handlebars
Keep it up! Please do some david gilmour backing tracks!!Danny guitar BORDERLINE DELUSION BAND
I fully relate, but I can sit and do this all day, and feel not alone at all
This backing track sucks. I’m not hearing enough cowbell.
I enjoy playing my Sax with this. In Alto I am in F# for all your Alto Sax guys
F# blues scale is the major notes, the alternating pattern for A blues scale
I would love to hear a sax improvisation over this! I will be the first to watch if you post, guitar in hand 😃
When it changes notes do I change my positioning to that Muir pentatonic with the root on the e
This is so much better than jamming with the voices in my head
Yeah.....but you could write some good songs with them 😊
Been looking for a backing track, after checking several ones, this one is by far my favourite. And thanks a lot also for the directions in the description what to play over which cord! Extremely useful, thanks a lot!
Fairly new harmonica player here and I love these tracks. Lots of fun trying to play along. Still a bit confused of which key harp I need for the back track? An A in first? Or D? Uggh so confusing and been a tough one for me to catch on too. I recon just a learning process!
Why stop half way through the first line?😂
I like the Simplicity of this chords going along with the song helps me stay in tune or using the right note at the right time this is awesome for a beginner for which I am one this is greatly appreciated
I’m 71 years young and I find people to jam with and I’m not a real great guitarist. Strictly rhythm but I also play harmonica and sing. Get out there find an open mic jam That’s where I met lots of people to jam with.
Good track I love how it shows the chords change..
Same helps me go to the different scales
I've played blues in a,d,& ending rytham for years ,great now I'm learning lead love it.
Thanks for posting. I practice my bass with this.
Thank you so much. Listening to this and humming with it, my own freestyle humb just help me with my writer's block.
This backing track has me playing licks I didn’t even know I could play. That’s the devils music for ya lol

yah yah - very nice; solid feel - helps me practice a little slide guitar to keep my chops lightly together in my 50s. thanks!
You know I’ve known there have been blues tracks to jam too but I usually make my own on my ditto pedal but I tried a couple of these tracks to jam too and it’s like having a band , timing is great and it helps you get in your blues practice.
I jam to this track frequently..
It’s perfect for practicing lead.
I'm 156 and I really wish I'd started learning geetar 200 years ago. I might actually be decent by now.
I’ve been playing for almost 50 years and still loving jamming with yt backing tracks. I live fulltime in my van #cubbyvanlife and these are now my best friend.
Thank you for this kind of back tracking...love it
I took the liberty of playing the 1st position in both Am and AMaj with this one.... very enjoyable ... thank you
Very nice. I hate the jam tracks where the uploader has to jam on x amount of bars before it's your turn
Love that organ sound! Perfect backdrop for a THICK blues tone.

In the beginning there was the word…and me jamming on this immortal track.
Man this track flatters my middle aged intermediate guitar playing self. I nearly sound like a musician. I would love to hear real musicians and some of the other instruments that people are jamming over this with. Do any of you folks record and post somewhere your playing over this track specifically? I’m not to app savvy, RUclips and email and that’s about it...
2 pro metronomes used and still your beat goes slower then faster. Its ok its still a badass track to jam to
I need more organ and keys in the back then it s less work lol
just drink a few beers, no drink a lot...put the lights down to 20 watts, and just have fun, take a break drink some more and feel the blues..........................
It's just a commercial for selling "guitar" lessons.

Well, I had fun, for real, was watching a SRV live, had to pause to have a jam myself.
😀 Thank You for the Jam...
I am so happy I found this, thank you so much, I will be using it daily.
This track helped me improve my soloing so much
Loving this. The organ really sets it off. Can't wait to jam over it. Thanks!
Hello, can these backtracks of yours be used freely? I'd like to register some guitar parts played on backtracks and uploading it on instagram. Is it a problem with that? do I need any permit? sorry if I ask ive never done something like that before so I'd like to avoid any kind of copyright problem
This is not easy for me ,but willing to learn this thank you for making this track.
Thanks man. Playing my 6 six string to this. Figuring things out.
Can i use this jam track for solo practice n uploaded into RUclips channel
Great sounding track! Really Nice to play over it!
I'm a Bass player. Last week learned the note A. This week D. Next week? Who knows ?...

Greets from France .
This is by far one of the better backing tracks for blues guitar on YT, and that ain't saying a whole heck of a lot.
Thank you for creating this. Much appreciated!
I was born in the bayou before the dinosaurs, I'm a 3 aeons old bluesmen, I was there when Moses built the ark and I got a piece of wood from him to build a guitar that I'm actually playing to this backing track.
Thank you very much ❤

Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to learn about blues guitar backing tracks try Zamartar Simple Blues Remedy (just google it ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my co-worker got cool results with it.
that was great! thank you!
Nice track! Is it OK to post a you tube video soloing over your backing track?
I LOVE this you made me happy, thanks from Italy
love your back tracks. Would it be possible for me to use your backtracks to jam along with and at times upload good videos to face book or RUclips? I would give you full credit for the back track and of course I would not get any financial gain from my video with your backtracks. I any case, thanks for your beautiful back tracks.
Please correct me if I’m wrong. Does this song kinda play around with A minor for a bit? It sounds like it swaps between major and minor
So I just stay on the A pentatonic scale the whole time or do I have to jump to each chords scale position? Sorry for dumb question. I can’t figure out if the A pentatonic scale covers all 3 chords or I have to change positions
You can do either. I usually stick with the Am pentatonic because I suck at guitar, but either will do.
I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to discover blues guitar jam tracks try Jadonite Guitar Blues Buddy ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate got excellent results with it.

Hello, How can A minor pentatonic fit A major as it is built on Mixolydian scale. Its making me confused. Please give some clue to understand the trick.
I think the theory might help explain the answer to your question. I am by no means an expert but I will still attempt to answer the question. But first I will say, it's difficult to gauge why certain music works and why certain elements sound good. As far as your question goes, I would say the minor pentatonic sounds good over the chords in the video because the chords you are listening to are not entirely diatonic, meaning not all the notes in the notes in the chords lie in the A major scale. The progression is A7 | D7 | A7 | | D7 | | A7 | | E7 | D7 | A7 | E7 :||. The dominant 7 chords especially A7 and D7 help give context to the minor pentatonic and help it to sound good to our ears.
To help break this down,
The notes in the A major scale are: A-B-C#-D-E-F#-G#-A
Let's look at the notes in the first chord, A7 we have, A-C#-E-G.
Now let's look at the notes in the second chord, D7 we have, D-F#-A-C.
Now the notes in the A minor pentatonic scale are A2-C2-D2-E2-G2-A3.
Blues music is full of dissonance, but I would argue that the G in the A7 chord and the C in the D7 chord help soften the dissonance and give context to the minor pentatonic scale over this chord progression.
In contrast, trying playing the A minor scale over the diatonic progression ie. Amaj7 | Dmaj7 | Amaj7 | | Dmaj7 | | Amaj7 | | E7 | Dmaj7 | Amaj7 | E7 :||, and you'll find that sound might not be suitable for your ears.
tldr;
Minor pentatonic sounds good because the progression is made up of dominant 7 chords.
With a Major key you can play the fifth minor pentatonic, ie A major = F minor.
im newbie and atleast i can play with this ty
great for practicing slide guitar in open "A"...I just a Taylor Acadamy 12 with a LR Baggs M1 Active..very little effects and it blends with this a a smooth melodic pace..
