Star Citizen is an in-development multiplayer space trading and combat simulation game. The game is being developed and published by Cloud Imperium Games for Microsoft Windows. An extended retry of unrealized plans for Freelancer, Star Citizen is being led by director Chris Roberts. The game was announced on October 18, 2012 through a successful Kickstarter campaign which drew in over US$2 million.[3] Pre-production of the game began in 2010, with production starting in 2011.
Star Citizen has become highly criticized during its long production process, both for the fact that there is still no clear release date and for the challenges backers who have abandoned the project have faced in receiving a refund. The launch of the game was originally anticipated for 2014, but was repeatedly delayed. In 2013, Cloud Imperium Games began releasing parts of the game, known as "modules", to provide players with the opportunity to experience gameplay features prior to release. The latest of these modules, known as the "Persistent Universe", was made available for testing to pre-purchasers in 2015 and continues to receive updates. After more than a decade in development, no projected date for the commercial release of Star Citizen is currently given.
After the initial Kickstarter ended, Cloud Imperium Games continued to raise funds through the sale of ships and other in-game content, and is now noted for being the highest crowdfunded video game and one of the highest-funded crowdfunding projects overall, having raised over US$400 million as of November 2021. Such methods of generating crowdfunded revenue have however led to criticisms and legal issues surrounding the project. In addition to crowdfunding, marketing is now also funded through external investment, having received US$63.25 million as of March 2020.
Squadron 42, a single-player game set in the same universe, was initially announced in the Kickstarter as an included campaign in Star Citizen, but is now intended to be a standalone product.

You have cruise control on during landing that's terrible. You see that lil thing next to ur speed limiter it means you have your cruise control on. If you wanna know why it's terrible it's because i've died like that 100 times minimum lol it's also funny.

"Can we filter by most expensive?"
- yes, select "Origin" in the list.
On the 890J, you were also on the auxiliary bridge on the lower (engineering deck). Had you kept going past the movie lounge, you would have hit the basketball court which is setup on the front hangar which can carry ships, yes. The engineering elevator you came in on can hold rovers and ground vehicles and stuff. The room above the bar at the top of the central stairs is the actual bridge that looks like what you'd expect from a ship and can see forward through the window.
It's too bad that your mercury star runner was blown up before you had a chance to really explore it. It has hidden smuggling compartments.
Even modern warships have secondary control rooms burried deep inside the ship so that if the main bridge takes a direct hit you can still maneuver it.
@@qdaniele97 Yep, with physicalized components coming in the upcoming patches, those secondary control decks will serve HUGE purposes if you ever get attacked and certain components get disabled.
@@billywashere6965 it would also make sense to make these HUGE ships like 890J to be really hard to completely destroy in the same manner it's happening now. It should probably turn into a space hulk that you can actually still navigate, repair, board, escape via escape pod, repair the hangar and escape with one of the stored ships, et cetera. Unlike the situation where HP of the ship reaches 0 and it just VIOLENTLY EXPLODES and that's it.
@@TheWinjin That's exactly the kind of scenarios they have planned with the physicalized components.
How did you go from Prison, to the most expensive ship in the game? lol.
The ships are from the free fly event where people get ships temporarily for free and people can play temporarily for free
gotcha okay that makes sense. i swear i found something on the website that says you can gift ships? but i guess not yet
@@jayveeeee oh u werent in the actual cockpit the 890 Jump u were in the enginerign part. the cock pit is far bigger and looks far better.
@@jayveeeee Real money ship gifts aren't a great idea since it will get wiped in the future, but if you ever get an email with a real money ship, I wonder if you could just keep the email until Star Citizen goes full Live; or maybe at least keep the email until the next wipe so that you could start a new universe with a new ship.
@@bbd121 you don‘t loose real money ships. All store bought ships, bought by yourself or gifted stay with you through every wipe.
@@dunkelklinge I didn't know that; thank you for the heads-up. That's great. Sadly, I still think the prices are pretty steep.
It's not that you get a crimestat when you leave grimHEX, it's that grimHEX is outside of policed range so there's no crimestat there (It's sort of an outlaw base), you just see your crimestat once you're far enough. There's satellites that can be turned off with hacking to disable it in space too.
To see your crimestat there's a page with your crimes on the journal mobiglass tab I think
yep i realized this after a ton of googling 😅 nevertheless i had to deal with the crimestat somehow

When you were in the 890, you weren't in the real pilot seat. That was not the bridge. The bridge is forward and up front you almost were in it but you never did go up the stairs and go in the bridge
yeah that makes sense 😅 i was running out of time before the reset so i kinda rushed through the tour
@@jayveeeee I hope you get a chance to check it out again. And that little spinny ball thing you saw, that was the gravity generator. And all those leftover ships were from a free fly event they just hadn't removed them yet.
@@jayveeeee The pilot seat you found is like a "panic room" pilot seat. At some point if the ship is boarded you can pilot it from there.

@@jayveeeee and to answer your question: yes, you can store another ship inside the forward hangar (the big one, not the small one you were in)
I would love this to be a playthrough series
You’d actually need a real game for that to be worth doing. As it is, this isn’t a project that’ll be properly released for at least 10 years. The reason being that it’s just too big in scope. Conceptually it sounds great. But practically? Well, it’s not possible to deliver due to technical limitations.
@@TheMelancholicWriter I think there's enough content here for a playthrough, they've done a good job.

Someone actually did host a party in the 890j on the PTU using the new 100 player server cap, it had nearly everyone in the server on the ship. You can also put things like tanks on the hangar elevator and raise them above deck to use as a gun with another person :)
@Patridge ah that was his name, couldn’t remember

Really dope video. Felt like I was in on the adventure with you. Hope you keep up with this Star Citizen series!
oh thanks man! glad you enjoyed :)
I absolutely love your videos on Star Citizen. Actually you‘ve been the reason, why I bought the game for myself. And I gotta say, it has to be my favourite game by now
oh thank you so much! glad you’re enjoying the game :) thanks for watching!!
Just don't burnout on bugs. It is not yet a game as much as early demo with pay to access early. But you get to see how whole world changes as it is being built.
Don't expect a steady 'progress'. Just do whatever is fun.
But if you're part of Dark Souls community, do explore all the bugs and features to git gud. If you put your head into it and DO write things down as you encounter errors, you will create a sort of map of all land mines you should not step on. Then making money becomes easy.
Other than that, enjoy the views and do try just flying towards moons and then stay low to ground just to explore
@@jayveeeee you should display your Star Citizen referral code for your supporters so that they get an extra 5000 in starting currency and you can get tier rewards like weapons and ships. It is free but not retroactive, so it can only be done at account creation.
@@Muhanoid Well said! :))
@@Muhanoid while i agree, calling it an "early" demo is a bit funny since it's been playable since 2015 lol
The extra ships in your inventory were attributed to you for the free flight event, where anyone could play for free for a time and the devs give everyone a variety of ships to try out the game. It will be cleaned up soon, usually when the event ends or after a week or two.
The crime stat doesn't show up in Grim Hex because it's off grid/out of range of a comm array. The symbol at the top right of your screen that looks like a satellite with wifi bars is called a "Comm array" It's one of many physical satellites in the verse that tracks crimes in its zone of influence, you can stay out of its range and any crimes you commit won't be tracked, you can also disable a comm array to freely commit crimes without being tracked.
Prison gets buggy often, when it works it can be great! But it's great as a deterrent for crime, and not in the way it's supposed to be. You can escape from prison as well, which you could have done without your mobiglass, maybe next time! ;)
When holding food or water/cans you can just hold left click to eat or drink for as long as you are holding down the button. This is useful to avoid using inner thought with items in your hand that may be hard to look at.
Wipes happen very rarely but can be out of three categories: Money / Items and ships purchased in-game / Reputation. Sometimes they wipe one, some, or all of them. 3.17.2 wiped all but Reputation, but there is going to be another wipe for 3.18 that may come in 3 - 6 months depending on how stable it is. 3.18 brings in some very cool, game changing technology, and it's going to require a full wipe.
So the 890J pilot seat you found is actually the "Battle Bridge" it's a sealed room protected from the exposed bridge. You normally fly from the bridge at the top of the ship, but when explosive decompression and life support comes online you will want to be in the battle bridge to keep the ship moving.
Ships are one of the best elements of Star Citizen, you walked around a multi-floored ship, so large it could be an entire multiplayer map for a shooter, and you can fly it, do barrel rolls while players party or have a gunfight on board. There are few games like this.
Love seeing your reactions, good and bad! The games' development is long but very consistent so hope to see you come back and do more! You should try playing with people because it's an entirely different experience and can be very, very funny.
Honestly, whenever I see a Star Citizen video from you I jump straight onto that. I love your perspective on the game, its so full of wonder and excitement!
That was the combat bridge of the 890 Jump, it is not fully operational so far. A screen that shows the outside or something like that is missing. The normal bridge is on the top deck.
Congrats on the 890J! It'll be perfect now that there's a higher player cap per server :P
You know you can walk around in your ship whilst it's in flight? not seen you do that yet, there's something amazing about putting your ship into a spiral and then walking around inside
Love these Star Citizen videos
My dude tried flying the 890J from the Battle bridge! lol
The prison reminded me of the one in Guardians of the Galaxy as well!
This game has become truly impressive, both visual and gameplay wise! Great video as always!
Now that you are in Microtech, you can try to get an "URGENT" mission that takes place in a hijacked 890 Jump.
It's a very fun and lucrative mission.
Whoever designed the interior of this ship WTF. Its like a real life tour of an expensive house
The no mobiglass bug can sometimes be fixed by changing your skin, hair, eyes, etc (gender if those don't work) with the character customizer on the main menu. You might have also noticed (at 7:38) your head is missing. This is the same bug
I startet star citizen because of you and its pretty good
0:20 Got the reference
good man
WOW Wasn't expecting a third episode!!! Glad you did though!
You're still flying around with cruise control on especially when you land, and it's forcing you to fly forward and nearly crash in the hangars. Highly recommend to rebind cruise control (C is default) and only use it if you want to fly forward without throttle input
Nice to see that you are still enjoying the game. My only recommendation is that you explore and while you do to "F" everything to see what you can interact with, because you missed a lot while exploring the 890 Jump, for example, like the main cockpit and not the Battle Bridge, which is what you used to fly the ship.
Loving that Mass Effect menu music!
my favorite :)
Honestly great choice music slaps
16:50 Basically there, the game asked you if you wanted to press charges. So you pressed charges on one count of homicide, one count of grievous bodily harm, and one count of destruction of vehicle.
where's my space lawyer
@@jayveeeee If there wasn't for the wipe, the guy that killed you would probably have gotten quite a big bounty on his head with all the crimestat he probably got. Anyway, more seriously, the pressing charge feature is there just in case the death was accidental while playing with a friend or something similar. Beyond organized space battles, quite a few of us do racing too, so non-criminal collisions are not outside expectations.
space saul goodman
@@jayveeeee Better Call Saul.
I like how you didn't even find the correct pilot seat on the 890 XD
There are actually some passenger transport player organisations that use the 890J and other luxury ships to fly other players around the ‘verse/host parties.
Keep cruise control off when landing, thats why you were drifting forward
This game is too good. I'd be afraid to play it, I might give up on real life and not able to tell when I've crossed the line.
Don't worry, the bugs will get you back to real life from time to time :P
But yeah it's amazing.
Join us on Star Citizen DO! IT!, DO! IT! Do! !t....
Always like watching first reactions to ships. I didn't even know about that battle bridge on the 890. Hopefully you'll get a chance to play the Siege of Orison happening today starting at 5PM PST. Looks like there'll be either Siege or Jumptown everyday until the 11th. Check those tf out.
shocking how both beautifully stunning the game is and how easily things can break/crash
Shocking how? There are so many moving parts. More complex something is the easier it is to break it. The fact it's so beautifully stunning is the exact reason it's so easy to break.
@Viktor Kolarić Not true at all. RDR2 looks absolutely amazing and doesnt have issues like this because they know how to make a game. Wake up from the dream buddy
@@trey6563 Yeah yeah whatever. When RDR2 has flyable spaceships with fully modelled interiors and like 10 fuĺly explorable planets 1/10th the size of real, actual planets then you can compare them. Otherwise you are comparing a pea to a mellon and wondering why it takes longer to grow the latter.
This series is SO AMAZING!! Pls continue it!!!!!!
You really have to visit Orison at one point! It’s my favorite place in Star Citizen
Honestly, this game is one of the most beautiful games I've seen.
Have not played it in years, but it might be time to pick it up again and see how much that have changed.
Thank you for this!
i’m loving these star citizen videos, you should do more
Can't wait for him to play jumptown, that shit is so fun.
Star Citizen is like that sometimes.
At one moment your being curb stomped by bugs and glitches, the next your having the best time ever
I think you were in the wrong pilot seat of the 890 jump. normally you have a standard window. I know from the carrack that some ships got two pilot seats
That ship is like a space yacht. lol Nice.
This game looks absolutely insane.. I dont even understand how someone could make this..
750+ milion dollars help a bit.
more please... your awws and wows are making this so much fun to watch : )
Can't wait for the next one! It is a nice feeling working hard to earn your ships. An easy ship to earn and upgrade to is one of the MISC Reliants Kore or Tana (these transform into diffrent flight modes) or the Avenger Titan. Just a few hours of solid grinding. For about 500k+ auec.
I love you Star Citizen videos. Thank you so much for the good time. You trying to land in the bays had me rolling.
Love watching these videos. Thanks for making them!
fun fact about the mercury star runner - it can be used to smuggle things because it has hidden tunnels where contraband can be stored so it doesnt show up on scans
the graphics and art direction is amazing in this game. so detailed
I need you to play more of this, its so good! That ship looks amazing !
Seeing your awe and excitement just really reminds me why I love this game
I am grateful for these videos because they really showcase what is there and what it would be like for a new player. I think I prefer to watch others play this one than try it myself. Keep making cool content.
The Origin 890 Jump is my dream ship and I am super happy you were able to purchase it and fly it for a bit!
this is why I've never spent more than 20 minutes in this game.. and that was trying to find my ship! but thank you for playing it !🤗
Love the vid! I love seeing newer players experience this game! Keep up the great vids!
im just imagining the pool water sloshing around as you pitch your ship straight upwards
you missed the main bridge of the 890. you entered the emergency bridge. the main bridge has ofc a view to the outside
I just love how perfectly the mass effect music fits this game, and I know it would be a must have while playing it lol.
I love that you've kept up using mass effect music for these videos, brings back some great nostalga vibes.
SC is alpha as hell.. but it's literally the best space sim game I've ever played, and the biggest. The scope of the game is huge (thats why it's been in development for literally ever) and the actual universe itself, flying in real time in and out of planets and doing jobs is insane.
You choked on a couple things though lol. Grim Hex is basically an off the grid hub, pirates like to hang out there. It has no military/police presence so no crimestat while you're there to be arrested for. Once you end up in civilized space territory, Comm Arrays and stuff sending signals are what ping you and your crime stat for bounty hunter to hunt you down, or stations to shoot you down. Dying with crime stat puts you in prison.
You also weren't in the pilot seat for the 890Jump lol. You could see when you went 3rd person where the windows were looking out, and no you sitting in there at all haha. You were in more of a copilot seat/alternate control seat. It's a massive ship, so some of these will be intended to be flown my multiple people each managing a system on the ship.
Also, wipes suck.. but you ONLY lose the items/ships you've bought with in game money, your money made in game, and remake your guy. Every single ship you buy with irl money if you decide you want to support devs, you keep no matter what. You'll never lose those ones.
Also for anyone wondering... no. You do not have to buy ships with irl money to stand a chance, make a difference, or make money easily whatsoever... buying ships sometimes just gives earlier access to the ship before it goes available to buy in game, you keep it through a wipe (because you actually paid for it), and the only purpose for buying a ship is to support the development.
Making money is very easy in game currently with Alpha, and buying a ship irl vs grinding in game changes nothing since no ship is p2w, it gives you no advantage other than surviving wipes. You're not competing with players to grind, nobody affects the in game economy, and ships have roles and all are versatile, so there's no "this guy bought this ship so I guess we have no chance"
@The Rotten💯 it's an alpha. You can enjoy it knowing what it is and still have fun, or wait.
They're pretty upfront about it though
@The Rotten💯 If you do get in and play, it's easy to see it's nowhere close with the scope they're aiming for. Those people are just not being honest about the state of it.
Regardless of that, even the state it is in now content wise, size, and just inmersion is ridiculous, and really good.
Anybody can play right now, sure. But you're still playing an alpha at the end of the day. Just a really massive one
@The Rotten💯 We received a very generous stipend based on time spent in 3.17, so I think many of us actually ended up with enough money to just buy what we had before, or put it all in on an even bigger/better ship
@@Ant1ev0 yeah for sure. I've paid full price for games that have still LAUNCHED buggier than SC and then died completely support wise.. all the while.. 45 bucks for game access (ownership of the game as well, even when it does launch, and when the price goes up), and I get to witness everything they're doing, adding, changing.. and play with it all whenever I want
@The Rotten💯 Nope, I look forward to wipes. All I have is a starter ship (the Pisces - incredible ship btw). I buy everything in-game.
I love the ambient ME music in the background
Really cool videos of Star Citizen. And one the best parts about it is the soundtrack you use. It is simply epic! (Huge Mass Effect fan here :D)
Piloting the 890J from the battle bridge lmao
I gotta say. I absolutely LOVE the mass effect music in the background it fits perfectly and I love those games so 10/10
It has been nice watching you become a citizen, Jayvee.

I love it! He sounds like Zap Brannigan
btw, quick tip for food and drink - if you are holding it, you can hold mouse 1 to eat or drink it. for drinks, you can hold the mouse down as long as you want to drink it and it will drain that amount. Great videos!
You can create a shortcut for landing and taking off I use f3. you can also create one to take your helmet on and off quickly.
I love the theme and inmersion I see in any video related to star citizen despite of all the bugs. I think by the end of the year I will pledge for this game, looking really promising
Your mass effect music in these vids is so nostalgic
Using the mass effect music in the background is hilarious and I love it
Your problem with landing is you keep the cruise control on so even if ur turn ur speed down ur still gonna be slightly moving forward.
hey Jay! here is a tip, something that i found out myself only recently, if you lock on somebody to shoot, also press ''G'', it activates some targeting gimball, making it much easier to shoot people!

It's fun seeing you actually learn the game.
I hope you make more its so fun to see new players learn how to play star citizen

Tip for you Jv, when approaching Orision at night, look for a patttern of four red lights, looks a bit like a constellation pattern you'd find in Astrology. Eventually the four lights will reveal a fifth central lightthat blinks, that is the location of tje Spaceport. In daytime, you are looking for something that resembles a spidery starfish. Respectfully Yours, R
Wow I actually didn't know that. Every single time I go to Orison (and I dread going there, lol) I get lost for anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes looking for the spaceport... Every. Single. Time.
You should continue this series
haha such an awesome vid! These big ships are amazing!
There is a different pilot seat where you can see out the front in first person and its easy to fly
LOL - the hard cut from Star Citizen to Kingdom Maker... Like going back to the graphics from 1992 :D
The big ship seems more like a cruse liner.
Maybe you can charge people to travel, and hire a pilot, so you can party with your customers. :)
to mining you must use the scanner to show where the minerals are and use a gamepad to control the ship is much easier I think
Seeing you play with someone you know would be fun. The more the merrier!
dude you gotta get on when they have jumptown! the newest patch has 70-100 player caps (up from 50) and its really lively and theres a lot more missions to do!
