I have been playing guitar since I was 19, I am 62 now. I can play the hell out of a guitar, but this guy blows me away. He is so talented. Could u please show us how u play the lead starting on 207?
Thanks my friend. I'll see if I can do that after the holidays.
Ok priced at $199. The natural color I have is sold out, but they still have 3 other colors. Get 'em while they're hot!
It has a similar look to the Eart
I think this one looks a lot cooler.
@@thebaldshredder difference between eart and this one is that eart has stainless steel frets and that's a very big upgrade
@@allboutthemojo no it's not i've heard bad things about the eart no point of having a nicer feature if the overall build quality isn't good this guy barely had to set it up at all
i think there's eight colors right now but three of them are of the more expensive model with a real rosewood board and different wood for the body maybe neck too i forget since i got two of the cheaper one
Dude...that is without a doubt your most shredderiffic performance thus far! Bravo! Killer playing. And a great looking/sounding guitar. The price is like icing on the cake. What a time to be alive and making music.
It is truly amazing what you can get now for so little money. Thanks!
I know I usually leave funny comments or what not, but, seriously Richard, your jam was great. I love your use of harmonies. It really is nothing short of criminal that you are not touring the world playing in a major band.
Thanks Brian. You know what? You're right! It is criminal. Who do I file charges against? The entire world??? I'm getting my lawyer on the phone!!!
UPDATE: It took 27 days but I finally got my Volgoa headless. I got the red, it's very nice looking, no flaws. The neck is exactly as you said, too round. But the tuners work well - I'm not at all sure how to change the string though. The pickups are decent, the pot is a little hard to turn, and the input jack is in the wrong place for classical style. I weighed it on my postal scale at 5.2 lbs. The intonation was off, but nothing that can't be fixed. I think the selector switch could be moved, as I hit it while strumming. Overall, I am VERY HAPPY, AND THANKS TO YOUR UNBIASED AND ACCURATE REVIEW. You rule. Thanks so much. Too bad almost all their guitars are out of stock, and none say anything about what type of neck - ugh. Had to buy mine on REDID. Again, from one bald shredder to another, TYVM for your channel and videos.
..love the song..u did... u freaking shred man ....I ordering one first thing tomorrow
Cool! Thanks.
I like your analysis. Your unique jams are also a treat. Just picked up a Godin and Schecter C1+ locking tuners both used on Offer up. Also liking my used Fender Deluxe Hot Rod that was barely used. I've been primarily checking out your channel and Guitar Max's channel.
The jam is CRAZYYY!!!😮💨 LOVE IT!!!🔥💪🙏 RESPECT!!
I have the ruby red. Mine had several issues. Frets were not sharp but they were not polished and were full of tooling marks. Gap in neck pocket is pretty noticeable. Nut wasn't cut correctly. Packing was poor. That being said the guitar plays beautifully. Still like my Eart better. Love my Strandberg the most. Nice shredding. Update. Pulled the frets and I highly doubt they are stainless steel, they are light and very soft I compared them to some real jescar stainless and it's not even close. I was leveling the frets when I noticed a lot of material being removed from them, so I pulled the frets and that's what I saw. I'll drop in this jescar set and it will be all right.
I just received the purple burl Volgoa in the mail today. I'm pretty impressed for the price. I was expecting woefully low output from the pups according to a few other videos I watched, but these sound similar to my other guitars which were 3-5x the price, so no complaints from me, but I'm not a pickup snob either. As far as the pricing on some of the other brands you mentioned, I'm pretty sure they have SS ball end frets and the Groate has a composite/phenolic (HPL) fretboard. The Groate was the one I really wanted, but budgets and stuff...
I had a actual Steinberger. The ebonite fingerboard sounded like what it was, plastic. Same was true w Moses Carbon Fiber fingerboards. Thin and horrible sounding. Maple, Rosewood, Ebony, Pau Ferro etc. Any wood will sound better.
I Had EART Send Me A Lefty It's Gorgeous And Never Tried A Headless And It Has An Amazing Look And Has Blazing Speed And Metal Covered Pickups I Love It Headless Guitars Rock Very Responsive And The Natural Look With Purple And Those 1000 Dollar Headless Guitars And Up Can't Be Any Better Just In Price Lol nice guitar Rock On!!
This was a Grrr8 review of this guitar, so I ordered one in Blue...!!!
All colors were completely OUT OF STOCK, so I wait for delivery...
Thanks
Tone D...😊
Rock on...!!!✌🤘🤙
Awesome Jam Bro..!!!
🤘
i don't think they're actually that popular but i ordered one in dark blue which apparently was the only one left and the regular blue so i have two guitars that go with my image but aren't exactly the same then there's a light blue of the version with a rosewood board instead of what i think is composite on this one and a slightly different body wood combination
I wonder how it compares to the one Darrell Braun put together since he said the quality was great but the pickups were like vintage output with not much treble; these sound better already though I’m not sure if the overall build is as good and obviously you don’t have the option to finish it how you want out of the box, so I’ll pick two that look almost the same for my image as I’ve noticed they have like two similar variations of some colors.
Bought one. Very Pretty, no finish flaws, nice neck. Unfortunately the electronics did nothing but howl and spit. Thought maybe I'd see if I could fix it (I've been a full time musician since 1979). Opened it up, dug around and sent it back. Too bad. I got a junker.
That sucks. Sorry to hear that. It happens.
Great technique! A note on phrasing: notice all your fast runs start with fast notes and end on a long note (with beautiful vibrato, though). Mix it up. Start some licks with a long note and end fast continuing fast through the next run. Or maybe start with just a couple fast notes then a long note, and finish fast. Change up the your default 16th/32nd-notes-for-a-measure-and-a-half-ending-in-a-long-note-with-vibrato.
That jam sounds so rad! Have tabs? Picked up one of the last remaining models today in purple. Maybe now I should learn how to play.
Thanks! No tabs.
The Eart is a little more expensive but they have SS frets with rounded ball ends and a zero fret. SUPER LOW ACTION on those bad boys. Pretty sure the neck profile is thinner too. GuitarMax had one a few months back and raved about it. Almost convinced me too buy one myself.
I just can't get over how headless guitars look. Just not my style. For the right price that may change but not anytime soon lol.
Great video as usual, keep up the killer work!!!
You know I've never understood the fascination with stainless steel or ball ends. That's never a deciding point for me, but I know a lot of people like that. And I've never played an Eart so they could play much better, but I don't like their design at all.
@@thebaldshredder fair point. For me it's not having to do as much maintenance on the frets. That and for some reason the rounded ends look kinda cool.
I've never played an Eart either. I've considered getting one to try but just haven't done it... I agree I'm not big on their designs either.
Yeah I'm in agreement with you , maybe for the right price I'd buy one. Never played one....
@@mikeg6666 I've never been able to try one either. I'd be willing to try one out but idk about buying one lol.
@@MainPrism Same here , too many other ones I'd rather buy instead...
Great cheap guitar to get your feet wet in the headless/travel guitar thingy thing.
Also, if you wanted to change the profile/contour of the neck, you could easily shave it down to a thinner D.
Careful though, you don't want to get as far as the truss rod.
Thanks for the review! With your endorsement, I felt secure buying a Volgoa headless. Only I got the Blue.
Hey man. I'm thinking of getting the blue one too. What's your impression of it?
Looks and sounds great. 💯 Correct. A proper action and a thin neck is so much easier to play in my opinion. Awesome Jam!
Thanks!
Literally mind-blowing? If there one thing that can never be literal, that’s minds being blown.
I would like to see a review on the Batking headless guitars, the little cheap one (22 frets, tremolo)
Be carefull w thin necks. Till I switched over to thicker ones I had a bump on my wrist carpel area the size of a marble. I find some necks are easy to play fast on and some are harder. The main factor is if your hand is relaxed and comfortable. This can be true at any thickness. Its a combination of the thickness and the shape in concert. Fat necks sound better in general.
I love the jam that was awesome I always liked the bones of your jams those rhythms that you come up with and the melody lines it's inside of them I wish we got to hear more of that. I love your solos but I love the Rhythm parts of your Jams 2 I wish I had seen this video before I would have gotten one of those guitars I've always wanted a headless guitar and I love the look of that one
I don't care when this video was made I loved it and I love you man your BIGGEST FAN IN DAYTON OHIO PEACE ✌
Amazon had them on sale for $160 so I got a red one. Hope it’s as quality as yours.
I think that the best thing of that guitar is that came whit a gig bag, I bought an Eart guitar and try to find a bag or case without success. And the only option was from strandberg and cost more than $100.
$100? Wow that's crazy.
lol that intro. Sounds like the Headless is the most consistent one of their current models based on the reviews. It looks great! Is that an actual veneer or photoflame? Looks like a photoflame but hard to tell. The 2 differences from the Grote are the satin burl top and the stainless steel frets.
From what I could find researching their guitars last night they're printed onto a veneer to make them look better.
Personally I would rather have a real veneer. You just can't beat a nice "alive" wood pattern!!!
It says veneer on the website, but who knows. It looks fantastic in person, so really it doesn't matter.
@@thebaldshredder Yeah tough to complain at that price. They definitely use some great.photo tops! My red one looked amazing.
I just got a used Grote from a few years back. Mine definitely has a veneer -- it's at least a millimeter thick, maybe two. Hard to tell because they did a pretty good job of matching it to what's underneath.
I normally don't trust people with two first names but you're alright.
You're a kick ass player 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks again!
You looked like played effortless, the tone was nice and it looks great!
Thanks. Yep, very good guitar.
LOL just went to their website and almost all their guitars are SOLD OUT!
Epiphone and Squier may be pricier, but at least you can always buy their guitars!
Awesomeness song and great review for an affordable guitar
I`d buy a 7 string version of this, but as always there`s none
sick performance!
OK Mr. Shredder, or can I just call you bald? Lol! So, that was my feeble attempt at being funny. I know, keep my day job! So seriously man, the reason that I just subscribed to your channel and what encouraged me to leave a comment is the FACT that you don't sound like a BUMBLEBEE FALLING DOWN A FLIGHT A STAIRS when you "shred"! You're very melodic and your solos "make sense"; they "take you" somewhere.
Also, DUDE! THAT VIBRATO! INSANE!
I'm a 40 year veteran of playing original ROCK-N-ROLL music up & down both the Sunset Strip in Hollywood and the Vegas Strip here in Las Vegas so please don't think that my comments didn't come from a "newbie" impressed by your rig and arsenal behind you. They most certainly are impressive though! Anyway man, I just wanted to shoot you a quick THANK YOU for not being a "guitar DOUCHE" just because you can play fast! Keep it real and keep treating your viewers like friends instead of talking down to them and belittling them because they are not equal to your level of playing. Lol... Keep the faith and keep fighting the good Rock-N-Roll fight my friend!
God bless and take care...
Thanks. I really appreciate that. Yeah I always think of my style as melodic hard rock with just the right amount of shred. Never over doing it. And I love my viewers! Where would I be without them? Rock on dude!
Yeah, I have EART GW1 and GW2 models, and the pickups of Volgoa Headless leave something to be desired ... I am also planning to swap out the pickups. Also, the Volgoa Headless frets, although made of stainless steel, are not with ball ending, I found it necessary to dull the fret ends a bit. Volgoa is offering 3 models. I bought all of them ,but returned the other two, kept the headless. The review at amazon (including mine) dropped the price for the other models, but unfortunately the headless model went up from the Thanksgiving price.
How are the Eart headless compared to the Volgoa? Do they play much better? Do they have thinner necks?
The EART headless is visibly thinner (whish I could send pics in replies for you to see), it is a "compound u-->c" neck... meaning it is ticker at the head side, but slowly changes to C at the body side, where you shred more. The frets are nicely rounded, which you can also see on newest firefly guitars, also stainless steel. And to my ear, the EARTs pickups seem to sound better. But is this worth $100 more? ... Not sure. Btw, I think I saw EART GW1/2 at $299 during a sale on their web site, not Amazon.
I kind of like the porous surface of the EARTs. For me, the biggest problem is that my wife will smash my many cheap guitars off my head one of these days, which I keep buying because I watch channels like yours and Max guitar:-)
LOL, oh man. Hide those guitars. And wear a helmet when your wife is around!
@@thebaldshreddereart is kinda heavy. How many pounds is this one?
Dude. That ...Was. ...Rad!!!!!!
🤘
Looks great. Excellent playing again!
Thanks for listening!
I totally agree with you ....I need to buy one ;-)
Yes you do! Get one before they sell out and raise the price.
Ofc its unavailable on amazon only a month after this video. Might just be because I’m in Belgium though. Nice playing btw!
Thanks
Nice jam
Thanks
Awesome track Richard!
Thanks 🤘
Beautiful indeed!
I bought a Stineberger spirit many years ago and wouldnt sell it. . Sweet Axe Bro
Thanks
Now they are closer to $300 dang! Great video though!
That's a nice looking guitar way better than the other's head less guitars.🎸👍
I agree!
Any idea of the thickness measurement wise ? And whats the contour ? C, open C, D, U, Oval etc. Great job . I enjoyed this and the Enya electro/acoustic review.
I don't have this guitar anymore, but if I remember correctly it's more of a C shape. Not thin.
@@thebaldshredder Wow, thanks for the quick reply. I froze the video when it was showing the neck back and looks to be around a half circle like my Spirit. Which makes since because thats what they probably copied. Subscribed.
Hey Rich! Have you changed strings on this beauty yet? If so, how was it, and how's the tuining stability...???
Keep it METAL!
I haven't changed the strings
So…, minus all the processing and effects…. How does it sound clean?
I like thick necks. I might try one of these.
Perfect! Definitely check it out before they sell out. And love the name! Did you see the video on my Escape From New York inspired custom guitar?
@@thebaldshredder thanks! I'll check it out!
the jam sounds great, cool riffing.
Looks like nice access to the 24th frets
do they make basses?
Btw is that ez drummer?
Thanks! Upper fret access is incredible! I forgot to mention that in the video. No basses on the website. And I use Addictive Drums for the drums.
@@thebaldshredder good to know, thanks!
would you say this guitar or their other guitar the Volgoa GTWT-05 is a better choice?
I haven't played the 05 version, but I'm guessing they feel and sound about the same. The 05 looks to have a couple of upgrades like the 5 piece neck and truss rod adjuster wheel.
@thebaldshredder Thanks for letting me know. I really like the purple on the 05 it reminds of a galaxy and it's only 40 more so why not.
Volgoa? Why couldn't they use "Fendora" or "Gisona" or something easier to remember?
Any idea why this guitar is no longer available? I def wanted to buy one.
It's sold out, but the company told me that more have been shipped and on their way to Amazon so I'd keep checking back.
I know you said fret work was good in terms of note quality but I was curious how the fret ends felt? I commute to work and like to practice/write on breaks and considering this for my work guitar!
There are no sharp fret edges on mine. But if you get sharp edges, it's such an easy thing to fix. Get one of those emery boards used for filing finger nails. Use that to smooth the edges. 15 minutes tops.
thats same style bridge thats on my asmuse headless bass
A lot of the made in China headless guitars have that bridge.
Do they hate lefties like Ibanez? Loved the Q52 but no lefty available.
Are the fret markers plain or do they have a pearloid texture?
plain
Shredderiffect!! I'm glad to see it was just your hair you lost! 😆 nice guitar! I am looking for les paul copy in amber like the appetite Gibson any ideas? Thanks Richard Shreddermister! PS:: on the cheap!
I would check eBay and Aliexpress if you want a Chibson.
Check out Leo Jaymz or Firefly
Hi, gut gemacht danke, schöne Weihnachtszeit. Gruß Siggi 👍🔔🎹
killer jam
It's always a pleasure to watch someone with your skill play very nice but the top is not quilted Maple it looks more like Maple Burl
Thanks. Well whatever it is, it looks amazing.
Could you spell the name please
Volgoa
@@thebaldshredder thanks for replying I looked and I could not find the exact guitar that you were demoing I watched another video from somebody interviewing that brand of guitar and they said it was garbage
There is a link in the description that takes you right to the Amazon page for this guitar. And garbage? Maybe they got a bad one, but this is definitely not garbage. Buy one and find out for yourself. If you don't like it, just return it.
Someone needs to tell those Chinese headless guitar manufacturers that the guitars would look more premium without the burl-veneer obsession. The natural backs always look so much better IMO
Where is the jack located. Is it on the bottom?
You should play for movie scores or something like that, make money for all of your creativity.
Should I score a Star Wars movie?
@@thebaldshredder if they pay you, yes.
If they pay me in action figures, I'm in!
Never find any of these guitars in stock
The red one is still in stock. But yeah at these prices, they sell out fast.
I just saw Guitar Max previewing another guitar from this company , never heard of them till a couple days ago. According to Amazon reviews they're mixed , some said they were garbage and others said they were decent 🤔✌️🤘 Also regarding those Latitude guitars , they're way overpriced for being a small newer company IMO!
Like a lot of these budget assembly line guitars, they are probably hit and miss. This is the only one I've tried and I'm truly impressed. Luckily when you order on Amazon, they have free returns if you don't like it.
@@thebaldshredder Yeah that's true , but I have a sneaky suspicion my wife is buying me a guitar for Christmas so I don't want to rain on her parade , she really knows nothing about guitars and is always telling me I have to many. So I'm expecting it's going to be more of a platform to mod out , which I enjoy doing anyway. I think it's an Ashtorpe strat , which I know nothing about but it's got decent reviews on Amazon. So.....🤞
Dude, start practicing your reaction now! You better be like "Wow, look at this! This is amazing. Thank you honey!"
@@thebaldshredder I will because I know inside it's killing her that she even bought it 🤣
That is Wicked Nice
Nice jam.
Thanks!
Are the frets stainless steel
No
Neck dive?
Which seller did you buy your Chibson on AliExpress ?
That seller isn't on Aliexpress anymore.
Word of warning , the type of bridge on this guitar is straight-up garbage , I had it replaced twice and it still went bad , namely stripped thread on a base plate where the saddles are screwed in, that is not something that can be fixed easily .
Wow, that sucks!
Facebook listing for a used one at 150 brought me here... Like the video... Thankfully the guitar isnt 100... Id be not shredding... Just plucking... Poking ... And generally sounding crummy...
Seems like headless guitars are more popular now than ever these days. Do we have Alan Holdsworth to thank for this?!
Yes! Thanks Alan
What is the weight of this guitar, please?
about 6 pounds
What octave pedal do you use ?
I don't use any. All harmonies are overdubbed.
Have you thought about uploading your music to Spotify? Like, all your "original jams" that you write for these reviews?
I'd totally listen to it. There are these free platforms like Amuse were you could do it. I did that research early this year for my band so any question you may have I think I can help you, or anyone reading this
I probably will at some point. I'm in no hurry. There isn't much interest in my original stuff. If I upload a new original song in a separate video, the views will be pretty low. That's why I include them in the reviews instead. And my album Tiger vs Dragon should be on Spotify. Thanks for the suggestion. It'll happen at some point.
@@thebaldshredder Tiger vs Dragon rocks!!
@@thebaldshredder Well I supouse you're right. views would be low in comparison to guitar reviews and other stuff.
I was just thinking in music, I'd be the guy that likes to listen 80s lyricless music while working and your songs would be perfect for that kind of playlist. But if what you're aimimg for is musical success then... good luck!
Thanks Camilo. Yes of course I want my music to be heard by as many people as possible, and hope that they like it. I think that's the goal of most artists. But it's been proven to me over and over that new original music doesn't get very much interest. I quickly figured out that guitar reviews get a lot more traction, so therefore the best idea is to include my original songs in those videos. And I also like doing the guitar reviews. They're fun. And let me say THANK YOU for having such an interest in my songs. You rock!
...and is back to $199 at Amazon
Awesome! Thanks for the heads up.
Received my greeny moore guitar from China Luna store! It's completely junk! Wood filler on the neck pocket to make fit! Wear marks sand paper and magic marker! Looks nothing like greeny! Lesson learned here!! Lost $300.+ BUMMER!
Sorry to hear that. That is a major bummer. It's always a gamble and it sucks when you get a bad one.
@The Bald Shredder I learned my lesson! I'll stay at home! I'm an optimist with pesticmistic results! 😆
Where's your head dude?
Not on this guitar!
More medium jumbo 🤨
I don't know, I've seen cheaper guitars that come with a head.
😄
if i was an x man i would use my powers to reach through that screen and steal that guitar lol
Well lucky for me you're not an x man! lol
👍🏻🥳🎸
Would this guitar be able to fit emgs in it?
Fookin hell that was an awesome jam! I hate you and I'm jealous lol.

Hard to hang on the wall in a craddle.
and theyre already up to 239. You create inflation! lmao
