Surely the Judges should be also held accountable….these stories are just despicable 😡
Hey big guy I've served time in the past I'm 53 now. I've been in Frankland, Garth,Walton, Winson Green,Preston and others...I'm not a tough guy and stayed away from drug dealers and other scallwags and out fine. I wouldn't like to go back now
IPP abuse of human rights act no justice for anyone everboby suffered
How long must we suffer this insanity?
Considering you are ex loyal screw you speak total justice take my hat off to you sir!
Evening Sam ❤ thanks for all your content - it’s Educational eye opening and much appreciated.
Evening Sam, hope you and yours are keeping well Kathy xx
I met an ipp in Norwich no older than me in for something pathetic nicest prisoner I've probably met its a shame and a disgrace
Everyone needs hope as without it it’s understandable people give up on life.
The establishment always selectively enforced rules depending on their agenda, They've held up human rights to avoid deporting a convicted foreign national drug lord but dropped them like a hot potato to hold Julian Assange for extradition even though he could face a death sentence.
For exposing the corruption in the US and US Intel agencies, which is Exactly what we can all see in them now, they are behind EVERYTHING and run the US Congress by their deviousness and belicose agenda.
I met 2 IPP prisoners, 1 was an absolute lunatic and the public definitely needed protecting from him, and the other was a cracking lad who was 5 years into his recall for a petty argument with his neighbour. Someone I know has just been hit with a "99-year criminal behaviour order." Is this the new IPP?
Thank you very much for this, my friend. This disgusting IPP sentence is inhuman. My friend is on his 17th year..
A guy who was inside with me got 18 months for gbh, for defending his gf against scroats...
They dangle the carrot of freedom , in front of the prisoners , with courses , make one mistake and you get.knocked back...
Please do.more on this subject and I hope you get some.ex IPP prisoners on your podcast.
Horrible guards provoke the hell out of prisoners to prevent any release....Probation are horrible as well..
Blunkett said it was a big mistake. How can something which was abolished over a decade ago, not be closed out.
This is just a travesty of justice ipp should never have been allowed especially when you get some one who stole a phone or a bike to be locked up indefinately hi sam
Sam how can that be , I can’t get my head around this 😳
Free Kevin lane and Warren slaney
And Jason Moore 🙏
Sam if you look at the records of the majority of elderly ipp you will see that they grew up in care of local authorities and experienced ‘approved school’ regimes. I know because I spent 6 years for stealing 10 shillings the equivalent of 52pence in today money. We were all born into the ‘under class’ on council estates. Most [not all] became the ‘revolving-door’ prisoners we keep hearing about. Thanks for your channel and your compassion. Be safe big boy. Bless x
👊❤️🙏
Another fantastic video.
So true.
Thankyou, Mr Samworth.
Pete 🏴
Hi Sam, Thanks for talking about this disgraceful sentence. Every. Year all i hear is the government are looking into it etc!. All whilst those individuals are rotting away inside our prisons year in year out!. Anyway thanks again Sam. 🤬🤔👍
Officially, Pepsi Watson was dragged back in for the flimsiest of parole breaches, but in reality, his campaigning against IPP and the politicians he called-out for it was the real reason.
Don't know if he's still languishing there several years later or not, do you Sam? That 2nd interview he did on Attwood's channel still haunts me.
@LEFROY1.9 I THINK HE'S STILL LOCKED UP.
Yes,he was making content about the Prison situation, very intelligent Man is Pepsi. So what did they do, silence him.
Sir David Blunket introduced this.
Hi Sam :) it is great that as a former prison officer you have come out in condemnation of the IPP system .. I am in Australia and a similar system was enacted retroactively some yrs ago whereby certain prisoners who had served their full time were denied release ..
You obviously had a feel for the job whereas most PO's simply shrug their shoulders at the suffering they witness on a daily basis, you have taken it upon yourself to be involved.. my understanding is prison guards - screws - have a very high job appreciation index, that they really like their job, be that as it may I find your attitude toward alleviating the suffering of those poor souls suffering torture by having no release date uplifting, cheers ..
I knew someone who got a IPP. He committed 3 extremely serious crimes one after the other.
His first stretch was a 14, a home invasion gone wrong. The trigger man served 16, he served 14. The second stretch was a 12. He did a blag when he was on home leave near the end of his original 14 stretch. His last sentence was 9, another blag. They kept him in about 6 years over the tariff, kept failing the D test. When he was at deaths door he got released, he expired 4 weeks later. His relative said years of D abuse wrecked him, the last nail was " spice " did his lungs in.
RIP Ray
It's a disgrace,Sam
your a very fair man god bless you !
But Parliamnt don't like being told straight and how it is and won't listen unless it suits them.
Respect SAm ❤
hi sam great to see you again m really shocked by those statistics that you referred to really shocking this sentence seems a really inhumane thing hopefully the new bill will make a diffrence thank you for highlighting such important subjects take care of yourself my friend talk soon
I like your throws Sam you old hippy 👌🏴 that IPP is a miscarriage of justice on its own mate 🙏
Says the man who has never worked in his life... Wait till Rishi takes your PIP.
@@garlicandchilipreppers8533 he's got his p45 ya knob and ill get my pension soon 😋👊🏴
My brother is currently on an IPP sentence. Got 7 years for robbery which tbf was deserved. So far he's done 16 years and no sign yet of an EDR.
Its absolutely crazy that they did away with the ipp sentence but there's people stil inside on a ipp whos done well over the recommendation. It was definitely misused and given out to the wrong offenders, its just crazy to think someone who commits a murder can be in and out before someone who gets an ipp sentence for something nowhere near as bad or serious.
Great content by the way always remember seeing your podcast on james english and shaun attwood you've built a good channel mate 👍
I was in Lewes prison on remand for 4 1/2 months.. it felt like 10yrs.. I seen IPP prisoners there absolutely crack up and trash their cells, shouting all night.. and they are still there today!! Absolutely Horrendous
I don’t care what anyone says cause even 4 months can feel like a lifetime in prison
@andrewbowen6875 4.5 months mate.. felt like 10yrs.. worst was Sundays got out for 30mins for shower and assioation then locked up at 11am til Monday morning..23.5 hrs in a cell
Read both your books Sam. Great reads
Hi Sam. An Old high school friend of mine is on ipp in Strangeways don't know if you know him at all. His name is Andrew Curbishley.
He has done some naughty things, but he got an 8 year sentence and he has most likely done near 15-20 now with no release date in sight.
Would love to hear your take on it if you know anything about him.
it can't be any more wrong can it
Hello Sam I got a DPP detention for public protection just the young offender version of ipp i got a 3 year tariff when I was 17 and got out when I was 26 nearly 9 years the no release date is the worst and the parole board are a joke 1st parole straight no 2nd parole I'd done all the courses I had to do and was settled in a jail not to far from home they said i had to do a course that wasn't ran in the jail i was in so i had to wait nearly 5 months for a move to a jail what done it then was told when I got there that there's a 6 to 8 month waiting list to do it anyway in the end i got cat d was told they would try and get me in a cat d near home now I'm from Birmingham they took me kirkham which is near Preston lol but I'm one of the lucky one's who got out
It's a common sentence in USA,prison is a big business there ..when a system becomes privatised and in UK there are private ran prisons the bread and butter will be ipp prisoners the hard part is finding data showing how many ipp prisoners the private prisons are holding, I tried got nowhere. It may have been abolished but there's loads still locked up years later.
Where can we buy a hoodie Sammy?
Blair strikes again
Sam, I have been in HMP Styal would you like to interview me? I am not IPP, Which is disgusting. I met a few it's inhumane.
Good that you’re raising this Sam. Like most Deedars, you know what’s right and what’s not.
Pepsi Watson, last I heard, is still in on IPP and it all seems to have gone quiet about him.
I met an IPP prisoner that got recalled for 2 years because he didn’t tell his PO that he had a new gf. It’s ridiculous he’s been in and out for 12 years. He was a addict but had been clean for years he pulled a 🔪 to rob someone so he could get a fix. What he did was bad but in and out for 12 years when he’s turned his life around??
“Pulls a knife on someone to get a fix” and ends up back inside? Am I missing something or would that not breach any sort of parole conditions while out “trying to turn life around”? 😕
@@Paul_Greenwood_ Yeah, he got recalled because he didn’t inform his probation officer about his new girlfriend. When your on IPP probation have more powers over you can recall you on anything.
Sam speak to Ray bang bang Hill mate about the IPP 👌🏴
🫡 lad 🙏.
👊
So if you don’t want to do your course, tough, sit and rot……simple
Wish I didn't have that experience I had only been in puckulechurch kid prison a few weeks and didn't shave and my mum and best mate walked past me in visits fuck that sent me on one I tryed to kill myself but I didn't do nothing to hurt anyone
Perhaps for a bacon but there not really human you could always disagree with me Sambo
Punctuation will be your friend...it will also allow us to know WTF you are trying to say. Spelling too.
Why you nonce ?
This is the stuff of dystopian fiction. Appalling that this is allowed in the UK, this is not the country I was born in.
Inhumane Sam. I'm glad they have gotten rid of this horrible 'No light at the end of the tunnel ' crap.
Say slavery been abolished accept convicted felon
sam did you ever come across wes brown from liverpool hes ipp beennin about 16 years off a 4 year sentance i think
Totally wrong
Sam I do understand why you are not talking to me my best friend on nda I am not stupid well I am sometimes but I got broken in 1973 when I was a kid 70s nightmare ffs 80s was not much better but I made the best of it but was in jail when the riots happened but did get out of Bristol in the morning because I was going to court and my dad paid my bail but went back in after fucking strange feeling tbh

What is the difference between IPP and detained At His Majesty's pleasure? they both sound the same to me.
Why aren’t murderers and rapists given IPP sentences!?…….answer that
we all have choicest in this life sure we can all be bad and nasty in this world but it's a choice so if you end up in jail so be it stop crying about it
Cant wait for our next episode my friend, the genuinest person and channel in the prison genre and I'd go as far as say on youtube also, (you must be for me to do so many episodes for a Yorkshire man 😂😂) I'll go into this saga with IPP a little bit. 👍👊
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬THEY STARTED TO DISH THESE EGREGIOUS SENTENCES IN 2005 LIKE SWEETS,THIS WAS BROUGHT IN BY BLIND JACK,DAVID BLUNKET,HE’S ON RECORD AS SAYING THAT HE MADE A MASSIVE MISTAKE,BUT UNFORTUNATELY THATS OF LITTLE COMFORT TO THE PRISONERS AND THEIR IMMEDIATE FAMILIES
A woman i know local to me her son is about 14 yrs in on a 2/3 rec for street robbery, violence was threatened but not used ,shit ive seen people do that n get parole after taking a life not a fuckin phone on push bike 😢
