If we get there before our check-in time, would they honor our all inclusive ( drinks and pool) or do we have to wait for check-in to be able to use the pool and get drinks?
Most resorts will hold your baggage and allow you to start using the amenities and restuarants right away. They may either do a check in but not give you your key until check in time but they will invite you to get something to eat right away
Going here in days...2 quick questions if you have a second . First is there any hot food served past 11pm like even room service ect.. second is there a basketball court? I've seen in some videos there looks to be but others can't tell
I don’t think there is a basketball court. I didn’t see one and I don’t see it listed on the Riu app. The sports bar is open 24 hours and the are fridges full of sandwiches burgers and hot dog you can grab and micro wave. We had an upgraded package so I think you could order room service late -maybe 24 hours I am not sure. Sorry I wasn’t a lot of help I checked the app which we used a lot when we were there but it doesn’t seem to say.
It is pretty safe. We walked down to the nearby grocery stores. PV is a cab ride away but we did quite a bit of walking around. The Malecon is pretty busy at night lots of people and families walking around. We did quite a bit of walking around the romantic zone at all times of night and day. Be safe and stick to areas where there are a lot of people around
That is a really good question. I remember that the elevators in both the Jalisco and the Riu Palace went all the way down to the dining area and there were ramps to the pool level. I only took the stairs down at the Vallarta. I had assumed to elevators up to the rooms also went down to the main/ground level. Sorry that I am not being that helpful. There is a really active Facebook group Riu Vallarta Mexico. Usually if you ask a question on this group people will answer really quickly
@@larrymathieson5985no problem. I’ve already been there and found out everything: the elevator lower you to the ground floor, and then there is a descent path . Similarly, the entrance to the pool and the beach
The Vallarta probably had to be the most popular resort of the three Riu s in the area. Certainly the video on the Vallarta is getting the best traction of the three. The food at the Vallarta was good. If you are bringing your family there for a nice vacation you will probably be happy with the offerings. If you are a real foodie, l might spend a little more and go 10 mins up the beach to the Riu palace. The offerings there are a lot better
Well technically in Mexico it is illegal to have a private beach as the constitution gives access to all citizens to all beaches. In some cases it is difficult to access a given beach without going thru a resort -but this beach you can walk for 29kms - and there are plenty of places to access the beach
Thanks for the tour. I've been here many times before the renovation and it's changed quite a lot.
It was great they put the investment into the resort
Love this tour! Going in February
Thanks. Enjoy your vacation. I think you will really enjoy the resort
thank you so much
My pleasure
Was there just before Christmas. My son loves all the sports
It seemed to be really good value. We really liked the pools and facilities
@@larrymathieson5985 and we really liked the staff

Is it safe to walk outside the resort in the surrounding area, and maybe go into some of the popular places in Puerto Vallarta?

Is the Steak house also part of the all inclusive or you have to pay separate for that?
It was when we were there. I think it still is part of the all inclusive package but I could be wrong.
Does the beach have seating / service from staff?
There were some nice day beds and Pilapas on the beach -but you had to go to the bar to get your own drinks
Another great tour. Of the 3 rius which one is closest to bucerias? T.i.a.
The Palace Pacifico is closest to Bucerias
@@larrymathieson5985 thx Larry gonna b there in December for 2 weeks getting excited!!!
Going there in one month from now. June 5th, 2024.
Have a great trip
@@larrymathieson5985 thank you.
When did you folks go when you film this video?
We were there in October -the week of the 17th
If a person has a disability is it possible to go down from the lobby to the dining room bypassing the steep stairs. Thanks
