I own the TK700STi here in Europe and I sent it the second time to the manufacturer. First the bearings of the fan were rattling and last week the lamp exploded after 2h playing a game in 4k HDR. Most important for me is the limited 3D capabilities. Side-by-side is not supported, even not after the firmware update by the manufacturer. Playing Tomb Raider in 3D therefore is a no go on this beamer. Overall it is a nice beamer, rather on the noisy side for quiet movie scenes. The short throw is a nice feature as well the google tv streaming stick that comes with the i model I think. The build quality did not convince me so far for the above mentioned reasons.
I read the full review. Apparently it would run all 3D formats. However, in the descriptions of the TK700Sti, it is also reported that it runs, but from what I see in forum comments, it does not run 3D unless it is sent back to the factory for a firmware update. I'm in this doubt to finalize the purchase of the TK700, because I live in Brazil, and sending it back to the US to update a firmware is something very complicated. I would like to know from someone who has bought and tested if it really runs 3D or is it false advertising. Thank you again.
Congratulations on the video! I've been following and learning on the channel. For a small room (projection distance 3.5m), dedicated to movies and games, would you go with a benq tk700 or optoma uhd55? And without wanting to abuse, does it indicate a fixed screen? (I intend to put 120 inches) Thanks
Shane if you could try out 3D on a DLP I'd recommend it, what I've found is to be a better 3D experience than an RF 3D projector, I'm curious to know your thoughts on how the two technologies compare
Shane what .8 screen are you using it would be nice to know when you switch screens so when you do videos we know the how to judge what your opinion is on the equipment yes i know it’s asking a bit much but I really appreciate your time boss
none of Forza Horizon games compatible in 120Hz/120fps mode. It is maximum 60fps. So when you test it at 4:20, you shoould NOT feel any difference in input lag, because it is 60fps anyway, whatever settings you do on xbox :D You smoked then or what? On Halo, that was okay, because it supports 120fps. Anyway, I love Shane and his videos, but this was a fault... a big fault when you make a gaming subjected video... :/
Not true. This is always up for debate. I said its like a pc. On computers you can set the output resolution and hertz independently. No matter what you show on the screen it's gonna output a 1080 120hz signal. Same for my oled. Been doing it for years and can tell the difference in anything. Set the Xbox to 1080 120hz, any and everything displays at that. The game might still be 60fps, but the hertz is 120. Fps and hertz are two different things. The refresh rate is the number of times per second (Hertz) that a display (monitor) changes the picture it shows. Typical values are 50-60 Hz, 72 Hz, 85 Hz, etc., where's in frame rate, refers to the number of images generated by a computer in one second. The frame rate is measured in frames per second or FPS.
@@EliasJRosario I have your point. But if fps and Hz dont match, it can cause screen tearing or similar artifacts. Thatswhy Freesync and Gsync is available for now in many monitors and TVs. So if you set 120Hz with a 60fps game, it will cause a not correct and a ,,not smoother" image. You set up an Xbox , so I am talking about Xbox. On PC, there is more fluctuation (you cannot set up the image correct, because there can be fluctuation from 40fps to 90fps in a game), so on Xbox you can set the image easier at this point (fps and Hz). I appreciate your videos and I will always watch Shane's videos, but it is not a correct setting I swear. :)
@@EliasJRosario + It would be perfect if you see every movies on 24Hz. But the fact is that almost every people watch them on a 50Hz or 60Hz image. So a lot of thing is not perfect at this point. :D But if you can set it up, like on an Xbox, the match would be the perfect point. Or not ture? :)
@@vjbmarketing151 you’re right. In a lot games tv resolution and hertz will not match what the game is doing and screen tearing will happen. 100%. I’ve seen it. Some games like rocket league have a v sync option. However I’m willing to deal with screen tearing if it means I’m getting input response close to a CRT.
Respect your opinions Shane. A person can’t say what is best unless they have experienced the best. Your opinions of products truly carry weight because of that. This video unfortunately is one of my can’t watches of your vids due to your “guest”. I commend you for being a good friend, but he is unwatchable.
Shane test the Ht3550/W2700. It is a great PJ for it's price. The colour reproduction is stellar at that price point.
They need to use the x3000i’s led engine in a ht style projector
Thanks for the review
Yes Elias and his love for gaming🔥❤🔥❤

When you know the term Sweaty Gamer you’re a sweaty gamer lol 😝

So there is digital keystone correction ok nice!

Isn't the contrast ratio of these really low or is that only in game mode?
black will be a dark grey if there is no iris. but the picture is fine, id say comparable to 2015 lcd screens.

The gear is always in the video description 👇there.
Optoma has 4K projectors with 4.2 milli second input lag ( 35+)
I think you mean 4.2ms under 1080p which tk700 also offers
Elias you are 100% correct about the Sony 40ES😭😅🤣
Can someone help me about how to turn on the 3d mode. I don't find any way to turn it on. Thanks
have u tried 3d under pic mode?
@@esteresmeralda644 Yes. I had a BenQ HD 3d one there I could turn on easily. I tried same way it doesn't work.
What model OLED does he have with 30ms response time?
The Sony a1e from 2017 lol
@@EliasJRosario oh ok. That’s an awesome OLED though just not for gaming.
You wouldn't notice 4ms?
