You already said that. It's nonsense. Most people here are probably tennis players; me too. The screamers just do it to put the opponent off. A grunt is fine; a blatant scream is not. And why should a tennis audience be dead quiet if the players are allowed to carry on like that? It's mind games and distracting tactics.

+Phil star To me, it´s actually the most interesting tennis discipline right now. The singles is pretty one-dimensional (one Federer doesn´t make a summer), and men´s doubles with all those mediocre nobodies is completely unwatchable.
It's to cheer each other up dude. Unlike singles, where you can only rely on yourself to win, in doubles you have another person's feelings to think about, so whether you win or lose the point, you should always go up to your partner and let them know that it's all good.
