You gatta learn how to find that perfect balance between the two sides. That’s how the guys who find the most success are going to do it. You gatta find out how to balance shooting 3s and getting nasty in the paint on them boys. The 3 point shot(finding good fish shallow) is always going to be lethal, but you gatta hit the shots. And there are gonna be times that you really just need to get a little nasty and go get that & 1 in the paint(FFS). Throughout the course of a game, you need both. It’s just knowing how and when to take em.
Every single winning spot this season for BPT and RedCrest has been found DURING the tournament. Since the MLF format is so drawn out, it seems like you just need to practice for the best day 1 you can possibly get to give yourself time to find the best spot for knockout and championship. Easier said than done. Thanks for filming MDJ!

My lakes are highly pressured so bad, you can’t try to catch them on practice day. You can only window shop with your electronics til tournament day 😂 #indiana

Something will change soon. Shouldn’t surprise anyone that the next gen of ffs is rumored to be even more clear and precise with a further reach. I just hope the fishing organizations and the anglers get to decide before parks and wildlife decides for them

Ffs is too much. We dont allow certain technologies in other sports to conserve the legitimacy. Bass fishing tournaments have to do the same. Love the fact your your starting to really think about it. Wtg mark!
You were 2 warm days away from the shallow bite to be competitive in the actual tournament. Not win, but competitive. Dhl is a funny lake. Ffs will always be king there now that it's a thing, but dragging the c rig or hard head around catches the bigs. And it blew my mind that nobody had a spinnerbait tied on. Like, nobody. Spinning rods as far as the eye can see lol

Which is why I think it’s comical that they think they should be allowed to decide the direction tournaments go in regards to FFS. They don’t have boats, they don’t buy sonar/mapping units, they don’t buy gear, and they don’t go fishing. They probably have a 30 year old Zebco 33 with line so dry rotted it wouldn’t cast a split shot without snapping, because it hasn’t been used in 10 years. These are the kind of people that are on social media crying their little hearts out about the future of tournament angling and the advancement and use of technology.
