- My name is Jennifer Hurley. I grew up in Lucedale, Mississippi. I am also a nurse and a songwriter. I wrote this song many years ago after 9/11. I’m no professional recording artist, but I wanted to put this song out there because it has such a strong message related to the times we are living in. As most know, June 6, 2024 marked the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. I believe there has never been a greater generation, then the generation of these men that advanced upon the beaches that day into near-certain death, to fight for world freedom. May we be reminded of what freedom really costs. When America is weak, and evil is allowed to take precedence, the whole world pays the price. Not just Americans. Many millions suffered, and many gave it all in WW2. “Lest We Forget"
