Scottie Pippen shuts down Glen Rice during Game 4 of the 1998 ECSF, but his back problems continue to bother him. Спорт
Isiah Thomas and pippen hate each other but Thomas speaks so high of Pip in this game
Respect is Respect
Pips defense was amazing!
Shut Glen down
Keep showing these. There are a lot. Maybe someday people will understand that Pippen is Top 10 of all time, maybe Top 5.
+ItsAllAboutGuitar Love Pip, but nowhere near the Top 10.
Thomas said himself in this game that Pippen, who he hated, was the best player the last 4-5 years after Jordan and now he refuses to pay credit to him....Little men egos...
Exactly
Pippen should charge for defense clinics! While a part of defense can be expressed in stats such as steals and blocks, I don't think steals and blocks adding up make you a great defender. There are no stats for deflections, holding the opposing player to a low shooting percentage, denying the opposing player the ball, etc. Notice how when Rice tries to post up that Pippen keeps moving to prevent Rice from sealing his position. Doug Collins talks about team defense. How fair was it to have Jordan, Pippen and Rodman in the same vicinity defending you? LOL.
I alwais like Rice's way of shooting the ball, great player, one of my favorites to watch in the 90s.
And this video shows just how important was Pippen for the Bulls, some ppl just looks on statistics, or on how much he did without Jordan to evaluate his game and no... you just need to watch him play, he alwais delivered this game by game. If his shooting wasn't good, he would do much more on defence and ball distribution.
in today's game Glenn Rice would score 45 a night
he makes you pick up the ball then smothers you great technique
what shoes is pippen wearing in that game?
Nike air pippen II
....hmmmmmm...bulls home court jjejje....stay safe and peace to all....
Of course he would shut down Glen Rice because Rice was never a great ballhandler. He was good coming off of screens. Rice needed to attack the rim but he didn't.
He couldnt*
BigPrimo33 Wrong, I was waiting for that. It's actually "could" lol
Bulls silence another playoff crowd.
Truth be told, as much as I liked Glen Rice as an awesome spot up shooter, but to critique him, he wasn't really much of a good dribbler, and creator off the dribble
Outside of SCOTTIE PIPPEN'S awful FT shooting, he had alot of injuries he always came back but hardly ever played 82 games
Greatest perimeter defender of all time
@OIP ! No - did you see playoffs??
