It really tease us with that one Sam. I kept expecting you to cut to all washed and sparkling cleaned machine. Good video as always on the maintenance of the nozzle especially !
Hi could you guide me with replacing the hose on this model vacuum? Mine has split in quite a few places. Where can I purchase a new one and how do it fit it properly? 😊
I had the dreaded split bottom hose on mine. I fixed it today using Gates Green Stripe, automotive flexi-hose. 50x the quality and strength of the OEM part and It now sucks like Vyvyan's V8 Hoover, from the Young Ones.. 😜
When their working well they are nice things! Good fix, I use hoover Turbopower 2 hose cut down! Perfect screw in fitment and you can get 5 hoses out of one 😂 Grabbed a couple from Bartons to stock up for years
I think that it might have the wrong foam filter which might explain all the dust in the motor and post motor filter. Usually with the Sharks I have used here in the USA the foam sleeve filter is the same height as the center of the holder. Your filter appear squashed over too so I think you are leaking dust and suction there too. Looks like a speed model with the full size model filter installed.
I have a nv800ukt and getting air leaks which mean the suction is poor at the head of cleaner. How did you push the rubber seal into the top properly??
It's very fiddly, and usually easier with the entire neck removed from the machine, and washing up liquid. The 2 rubber tabs have to fully seat and snap in to the coating lugs
@@beko1987previously the hose was glued on. So now when I push the hose with the rubber seal through, the hose ends up pushing through instead of the grommet seal. So I think I'll have to glue it so it stays in position. I have tried washing up liquid to get it moving but it's sooooo difficult to get it right. Any other tips?
Hi I have the same vac and am trying to replace the hose on the head can you tell me how you managed to get it back up in the neck to the correct position
With some difficulty tbh! I think I smeared a light smear of oil around it so it slipped up without binding, with the hose fitted to it but not fitted to the other end so it could all move. Got to locate the 2 tabs correctly or it won't seal against the wand
Have you checked the 2 screws that sit by rhe back wheels are nice and tight? The main housing provides the resistance for the sprung plastic locking tabs, if the casing is loose that's the reason. Seen it a few times, hopefully it's that simple for you 👍

Isn't is the famous Shark that all Britons say it's the best hoover they've ever had. Yes, it is. So much better than any Dyson.
Wow the head is rlly dirty. I didn't like these Sharks at first but grown to kinda like them now

Any idea why the wand switch that swaps between floor and carpet, it increase the roller speed, stopped working. Duo clean, powered lift away model.
Your bench vacsounds like it’s time to get a new motor
Do you still have that sand that you got from Mr Hooverlux's house when you visited him
Nice job Sam 👍👍

I cannot see how you fixed the locking mechanism. Could anyone explain further?
My shark floor head stays reclined and won't lock.
If you find a video that does explain how to fix tht please tag me!?
Me too
It's the screws that hold the housing together by the back wheels. Check his comment reply to another comment elsewhere.
Yep, all I did was tighten the screws. The housing being clamped down is what makes the recline lock work.

@@beko1987 Thanks for letting me know :) it looks like the replacement hose I got will be to short after looking at the length of the one on yours :)
Hi you did not show recline lock repair only cleaning, my cleaner head drops when being carried any clues ????
