My grandma always gives me the best gifts. So far over the past couple years shes gifted me a heated lap blanket for my infusion, a blood pressure cuff, rice bags that I can put in the freezer or heat up in the microwave, deep blue lotion, super soft socks and Sombra. Shes the best but jokes that she is 70 and doesnt even use half this stuff yet.

Strangely enough someone suggested Listerine Ready Tabs (the chewables) for nausea and they work SO WELL. They don’t solve it but they let your stomach chill long enough so you can go to sleep, for example. Definitely recommend it!

Ginger ale or ginger tea can also be helpful.

My family always has fuzzy socks, a flash light, and a box of cereal. It's not a stocking without fuzzy socks in my family.
I think it's also appreciated when the stocking has things you need (over the counter pills/toiletries/stuff for pets)

Love Jellycat stuffies sometimes hugging them is the only thing that will lift my mood or calm me down. Hugging one of the bigger bunnies right now :) thanks for this list plenty of things I’ve never seen before.

I really love the gifts my grandma gives me. I have sensitive skin (possibly eds related but I don't have a diagnosis.) So I always get really nice hand/body lotion or just a few weeks ago she sent me a parcel with meds and bathing salt for foot baths (to help you relax and ease pain)
It's just really thoughtful and lovely. She also gives out things like heating pads (she makes them herself) or clothing (which she also makes herself). Me, my sister and all my cousins are very lucky to have a grandma like her.
She's probably the only one in my family who takes my pain seriously

I asked for Benadryl (Anti-hystamine) this year and the 600 tablets of off brand Benadryl should last me awhile. Sleeping masks would also be a good Spoonie stocking stuffer. More sleep is almost always helpful.

This isn't so much of a stocking stuffer but as a result of high muscle tone everywhere (not from my fibromyalgia) that fits into the stuffed animal category, Pillow Pets. They are soft and very supportive and comfortable for those times when my neck is tight.

A case of icy/ hot the roll- on type, Tylenol/ ibuprofens and a freezer/ microwave pad that you can put in the freezer or microwave to ease the pain. And can’t leave out the treats, candies such as mints or mint flavored gum to ease your icky belly if you have one.

    * I use that type of water bottle. That is called a "Tumbler". I have to use a straw because of my Disabilities.
    * I love the pill keychain. It would be so cool to get that because there are those very important pills that you need in a hurry like Zolfan when it could be way too late by the time you search your bags for it?
    * Some Reusable Bendy Straws can be good stalking stuffers.
    * If someone had the money the Emberwave.
    * And this one is for you Izzy. ruclips.net/video/yK0j8qm_ZBo/видео.html. I hope you do have a very Happy Holiday Season?

Izzy my dietician suggested that using a straw causes more gas, reflux with my gastroparesis. She suggested a water bottle with a larger pop-open top to allow the air to escape. I only have one of these tops remaining and having difficulty finding a replacement so I may end up going to straw type again. I drop a lot so a covered lid bottle is a must for me.

Grabbers are good for drapes, you can even mop the floor from a wheelchair if you wet a washcloth and grab it in the end.

someone mentioned beer koozies for cold/painful fingers somewhere, sounds reasonable
mine had a hole in the bottom so i put a broken light bulb in it. it's pretty but it doesn't prevent my fingers to hurt when poking around in my fridge ;p holding cold sodas tends to be fine though

bettafriends254 recently my shoulders have degenerated to the point where I can no longer reach all of my back or reach out for things at quite such an abnormal angle for the first time in my life. It’s terrible! How do ‘normal’ people cope with such a limited rage of motion?!

the back of my ears smell a lot if i don't wash them, i tend to not bother much with my face if i don't bother with my hair maybe i should mention it.
i don't know it feels like my skin don't like having stuff against it, such as glasses or skin... i've also heard of people mentioning that piercings can smell. maybe it's not an issue

    • @smievil
      @smievil 4 года назад

people compliment my hair a lot, i don't wash it more than once or twice a week and haven't combed it in years, haven't cut it for years either so it reaches my belly button.
people think i run to work cause i'm all hot and exhausted when i arrive, i never run
they tend to compliment my strength when they can't open the coffee bottle and wonder if i work out a lot, 20 push ups daily is pretty much the only thing i do
people sometimes asks me if about cleaning habits, since i seem to be god at spotting dirt or dust. but my apartment is a mess
i don't talk about work or money, so my mom seem to think i'm super rich. as if i ever do more than i have too
people seem to get pretty weird impressions of me

when people on youtube plays games, they frequently cuts the thing they don't want you to see. i think it might make some people think they don't die a lot even if occasional cutting is noticeable, but you don't really see all the things that they don't cut out. i guess it could be a bit boring to watch them redo a lot of things though. but i think "dying" or messing up is also part of the experience.
