Those Fenix batteries come with a micro usp port directly on the battery itself. It's good for switching out batteries if you can't wait while your light charges.
I EDC narcan. I live in Portland Oregon (unfortunately) and the chance of being able to help someone overdosing here is high, but I carry it when I travel as well. 100,000 people a year are dying from opioid overdoses now.
Great video! Brand new subscriber here! Finally a gun guy who hasn't been bought off by SIG and goes with a pistol with a long-standing track record of reliability in the harshest conditions.
Thanks for the rundown. The "what if" issue can really load up your pockets. I try to evaluate how often I use a tool and if it hasn't come out lately (besides the pistol) it may be relegated to vehicle carry. I appreciate the insight!
“The lessons we learn are written on the tombstones of others” hits very hard! Thank you for sharing your awesome EDC, and not only sharing it but also sharing some truly impactful stories you have experienced to reinforce this!
I'm happy to see the compressed gauze being put to use. People forget that as soon as they deploy the pistol for self-defense, they step onto a two-way range . Always carry medical.

Excellent presentation!👍 Keeping it simple and functional is the best. As an old school Ranger, and retired peace officer, my EDC gear is light, simple, and reliable. Carry no more than necessary. And the Stars and Bars on the wall made my day!🫡
Awesome stuff as always from this channel. For me it's generally a S&W 442 in my blue jean pocket, an old Spyderco para and Surefire (gas pedal switchology lol) clipped somewhere, and a Softy wide TQ stuffed in my sock. The G19 stays stuffed between the seat cushions of my truck, mostly... Happy stick in the glove holmes 😅
You’ve got impeccable taste in firearms my friend. My Springfield 1911 is about 25 years old now. I bought it new on my 21st birthday. I think I paid like $570 back then. Inflation is a bitch!! 🥴It’s been shot quite a bit but it stills runs perfectly. 😎🔥
Great stuff bro. I EDC a G19, same stuff as you but I'm crazy heavy on trauma med in me, in a bag, in my truck, since I'm a former Army medic, paramedic for 26 years.
Hey Reid quick question and to be honest I think I already know the answer, why haven't you gotten on the "pistol red dot train"? Also what is your take on red dots on pistols? I honestly keep finding myself going back to irons. I like both but I guess I'm just use to irons and trust myself a little bit more with them
Red dots are awesome, but can be a pain to EDC. And quite frankly unnecessary in my opinion. If you are a cop or military, it makes sense, but I don’t need one for my concealed every day carry. I don’t even have a light on my edc. I have carried concealed since the late 80’s. I have never needed a red dot or pistol light. I do carry a good flashlight however. Pistols for me are close range, last resort weapons to break contact and allow me to get to a rifle or law enforcement. But, ain’t nothing wrong with them at all. I just like to “keep things simple.”
love these videos, keep it simple, and dont use fifteen different holsters, use what works...... i did not see a link to the holsters or the wedge ...but easy enough to find... thanks again, for keeping it simple, and speaking in English
I lost my ability to focus on the front sight without the perfect angle and bifocals. I can make hits with a dot and can see fine at distance. Isn't this a good reason to put a dot on my carry pistol?
Great video! Small amendment - the mono block and the two individual DCC clips don't do the exact same thing; they are both fantastic, however, the two individual clips allow for shirt tuck if desired.
I've been beating up a Fenix PD25R for almost 2 years and its been flawless. Definitely impressed with Fenix lights Anyone know what the finish is on his G19 slide? Was it refinished with that nickel finish (cant remember the name)?
Good to see you. Great video. My son and I have been in your classes twice (Crispy aka Red Lobster and Rattlesnake). Y'all gave us nicknames. Great times, I hope we can get out there again. For anyone reading this post. Get out there and take a class at Valor Ridge!
I also carry pepper spray. Works better than tasers overall. I have actually had to use it, and it works very well. However, one should train with it and be aware of the wind. If indoors, then exit immediately, and just know that the mist is going to affect you as well. Probably why cops don’t use it much. But they don’t break contact like us civilians normally do. If you know what you are doing with it, it works well for times when deadly force may not be necessary or allowed.
8 inches high with HST is a lot! At what distance? More info please, Reid. I also run Gold Dot in my Glocks. But curious on your HST info. Thanks for your videos, Reid!
Another great edifying video. Encouraging to see how we all carry much the same, but different. I do carry a couple of small multi-tools, one on my key ring and another credit card tool in my wallet. Keep up the good work!!

Reid i am surprised you don’t carry a weapon mounted light. I noticed you carry a pocket light which is good. I carry both. Why not both? Any thoughts? Thanks brother. Cheers and a good stogie.
Keep it simple. G19, extra mag, flashlight, phone, wallet, keys, knife (it's a small key chain one). I am trying out a "Redhead" belt. I currently have a really nice leather belt that is finally falling out after about 6 years of heavy use. I can carry a little more in the winter, but it's not much different since I want to be mobile.
It wasn't hard to find but there wasn't a Keepers Concealment link in the description. In the last 4-5 years I've done away with the "tactical"(I hate that word) folder in favor of a fixed blade in a horizontal belt sheath. It's quicker to access, easier to clean & legal in TN. It also leaves a pocket space for a Leatherman free P4 that I use several times a day. Simple is best but have the tools you'll use as well.
Great video. I'm not a Glock fan boy by any means, but I have a G26 gen 3, first Glock I ever bought, that I have 20k rounds thru. It doesn't feel great in my hand, even after all these years, but I can shoot ridiculously well. It's my EDC roughly April - Sept.
