I have had only limited success with voice commands in the past to the point that I felt I could get the job done quicker with the mouse. But this gives me inspiration to have another go. Thanks as always, Gary!
You have been a lifesaver! I've been watching your videos a lot lately.. it was really hard for me going from a different laptop to an Apple product MacBook Pro 2020 M1 Chip. I'm out of my league I don't know how to do anything still on this not like my other laptops I've had this is the first MacBook/Apple everything seems backwards and. Different and it has been so aggravating for me until I can watch your videos I'm actually able to understand now a lot of things. So thank you for explaining things nicely and calmly and you rock!

Hey Mate, thanks for the videos and they are very simple and helpful. I have come across a problem on chrome password view recently, hope that you might be able to help. As we as users using chrome to sync and saved our passwords for signing into different web accounts, somehow I am unable to view the passwords however I do anything on it. Thank you for the video. However, I am using macOS Monterey and I cannot get custom Voice Control keypresses to work. I am trying to make keyboard shortcuts Voice control in iMovie and other third-party apps , but it will not work. Any ideas?
Hi, thank you for this tutorial! Its been a life saver since I've been injured and cannot use my hands. I have 2 macs, is there a way to save and export the custom voice commands I created and add it to my other mac? I'm hoping I don't have to redo everything on my other system. I also just subscribed.
Unless it syncs automatically with iCloud, I don't think there is any way. You can always use the Export functions there in the System Preferences section for Voice Control and then import those on the other machine. Not ideal, but better than nothing.
@@Hey_its_Jun Are you perhaps using something older than Monterey? This video is from Jan 2021, so it is using Big Sur and the button isn't there. In Monterey, it is right under the checkbox for "Play sound when command is recognized."

If I typed San Jose by mistake but wanted San Bernardino, I would say “ select San Jose “ and then I would just say “ San Bernardino “ and the change would happen. Will that work on iMac with text edit app?
It depends on your version of macOS more than the model. But an old machine like that probably can't run the latest versions so probably not. Still, look in System Preferences, Accessibility and you should have some form of Voice Control that you can use to launch apps.

You can't. I think the idea is you are using Voice Control because you can't easily use the keyboard.
