I have a 2013 can am commander I bought and I bought another one with a blown up motor had the portal lift on it with 4 inch portals etc. well come to find out the output shaft is broken on one, where and how do I get information to figure out the gear reduction and what gen they are?
I've never had an old Commander, my understanding is that they use the 6x6 atv Tranny like an XMR 1000 quad and therefore there is no reduction available. Also those are a mess from what I hear. I wouldn't mess with one
Yamaha needs to throw the RMAX motor+cvt in a quad, that would be crazy popular… My Grizzly 550 is putting out double the factory HP, and the original belt lasted 15 years 🤣, it only failed because I may or may not have put the belt in backwards thanks to the markings being worn off 😅

Yamaha clutches and belts are pretty tough. My old man has a 2009 rhino 700 with 3k miles he uses as a work horse and hasn't ever replaced the belt.
Worst machine I have every done is a 2016 Maverick turbo , had 3 or 4 belt intakes and one large 3 inch exhuast
This is literally the definition of my buddy can do it cheaper. 100 percent was a case of beer job.
