I started waking up at 5 am to read before work (thanks for the suggestion!) and at night when my toddler goes to bed. I’ve been getting through so many more books. I read 23 this month! Summer Romance was so good!! I went and bought Annabel Monaghan‘s other books! I’m also ready for fall/cozy vibes.
Your energy is everything ❤ I've read many of your recommendations in July: Magnolia parks, curvy girl summer, Kennedy Ryan (my latest obsession so thank you!!). I've told you on IG but you've been bad for my wallet, amazing for my reading 🎉
The 1st book is a real drag to be honest but the Book 2 of ACoTAR is so much better! I hope you continue with the series. And there are many spice on the succeeding books. The slow-burn trope is to die for 😍😍
It’s insane how excited I get every time you post. I be coming prepared with my pen and notebook, ready to add to my tbr 😊 So happy you’ve had a good reading month. I hope you have a wonderful upcoming birthday celebration
Hi! I just found your channel because of Faith. I just watched her vlog of your guys girls trip! So glad you all had fun. I also finished ACOTAR in July. I’m currently working on Emily Wilde’s encyclopedia of faeries (cozy fantasy) and the audiobook of Six of crows. You seem very cool and will continue to watch. Thanks for recs!
I would love to see more theme book recommendation videos from you. For example, you have recommended - Finding Jupiter, Love Radio , and Rhythm and Muse. They all have that cute, sweet, young love vibe. Thanks for the recommendations. Love them and so many others you have recommended.
Seven Year Slip is going up on my TBR based on your review. Always love how you talk about books that don't land for you! Also, one of my few 5 stars of July was Into The Dark. So many feelings. 😭
I am so torn on my favorite for July. It’s a tie between Razorblade Tears and The Silent Patient. These two thrillers had me in a chokehold and I rated them both 5 stars!
Here's what I read Summer on the bluffs by sunny hostin The neighbor favor by Kristina forest Taming 7 by chloe Walsh Fourth wing by rebecca yarros Broken horses by brandi carlile memoir You've reached sam by Dustin Wild love by elsie silver Truly madly deeply by Alexandria bellefleur The royals next door by Katrina halle The wolves of midwinter by Anne rice sequel to the wolf gift Book recommendations Summer on the bluffs by sunny hostin it's really great summer read and it's part of a trilogy The neighbor favor by Kristina forest it's a romance book and perfect read for summer
Sidebar: I love the A Little Life rant because I've seen things about her saying she doesn't believe in therapy etc and I think its really bizarre that she writes these heavily traumatizing stories about people in communities that she's not apart of like you mentioned BUT ANYWAYS 😪
Just found your channel and am really enjoying it! Funny side note... I've watched a few of your videos and have never watched a RUclipsr who yawns like you do during the videos!😊
omg i loved summer romance too! hearing that you liked same time next summer makes me less worried about picking it up!! and i thought the same about the spice not being too bad in the first ACOTAR but i think i might become more as the series continues.. ive had the 2nd book on my shelf for so long and still haven't gotten to it 😭
Same time next summer was my favorite of all three of her books that I’ve read! I hope you love it too! & omg I feel like if I don’t read the 2nd book it’s going to sit on mine forever too haha
ACOTAR is a complete set-up book for the rest of the books. My favorite was ACOSF, but many people fall in love with the series with the second book, ACOMAF
I don’t know who is saying ACOTAR is spicy. They must not read romance because the spice in the first book is lightweight compared to some other stuff I’ve read. They might have a heart attack if they read something like Bride by Ali Hazelwood which has back to back spicy scenes. Now, I think the spice picks up in later books but in the first one there are barely 2 spicy scenes.
Thank you for the warning about the slurs in No Exit! I’ve not heard anyone mention that and the book was on my potential reading list. Nope! Not interested! That’s def a trigger for me from a white author!……I’m currently reading a horror book by Black author Tananarive Due called The Between. I recently finished Babel by R.F. Kuang and also a cute YA novella called Vinyl Moon ( which I def recommend for middle grade & HSchool girls). It was so dope!
The Thing Between Eli and Gwen by J.J. McAvoy which was published in April 2016 sounds like Funny Story by Emily Henry. Have not read either yet. But Just bought J.J. McAvoy's version.
I have Demons Dream on my TBR is there a lot of spice in it? I am not a big spice reading person. I enjoyed A Love Like The Sun. I DNF No Exit as well for the exact same reason I wouldn’t give it even a half of a star that’s how awful I found it to be.
Demon’s Dream is definitely spicy so if that isn’t your thing, it might not be for you. It does have a great storyline though!!! If you enjoyed a love like the sun, you should read when i think of you by myah ariel! 😍
@@ShawnaciSchroeder Thank you. I might take a chance on Demons Dream since I love a good storyline. Just added When I Think of You to my list to pick up from the local library it’s available. ☺️

23 books in a month? That’s amazing!👏🏽
Omg this is incredible!! I swear waking up at 5am to read is truly the best way to start the day. What a great reading month!!! 😍😍
@@jamaicanbsnrn I also listen to audiobooks via Hoopla, Libby, and Spotify while cleaning, driving, working out, while at work, etc!
Hi 🤗 did you get more enjoyment reading early before work? It seems like a good, calming way to start your day.
23?! Omg ! 😩 let me start getting up at 5 lol

You’re welcome!! So glad you’re here!
So many good books! This is why I mood read and rarely stick to a tbr, because it helps me read so many more books 😊
Same!!
I loved “A loved like the Sun”!! Definitely a 5 star!
So so good!!!

Omg I loved the silent patient!
I recently finished My Darkest Prayer by S.A. Cosby…..I might get into Razorblade a little later in the year, as well.
I love Lucinda Berry. And I think because she used to a psychologist it makes her books that much better!! ❤

Thanks!
Omg this is so sweet 🥹🫶🏽 thank you so so much!!
Acotar is definitely not really spicy. The last book has the most spice. That one I would say is spicy if you manage to get to it
Oo that’s good to know! Thank you!
Love your videos! ❤
What's the best fluffy book by a black author that you've read so far?
The kiss countdown by Etta Easton is a fluffy and fun read that I really enjoy recently!
ACOTAR gets more spicy as you go through the series
How do you get through so many books so quickly? Please tell me your ways lol
I wake up at 5am each day to read before work! That’s when I read the most during the day!
@@ShawnaciSchroeder thank you!! ❤️
I literally bust out laughing when you said corn 😅😅😅😅😅😅 I know what you meant but caught me off guard
Hahahah i’m screaming
I read the Butterfly series and I enjoyed it but I found the first book the most interesting and my favorite.
You did awesome 📚🥰❤️
Such a great month!
I read Body Count, Dear Vicki, and Work Husband by Octavia Grant in July and she is sooooo unhinged 😂😂😂😂
She really is!!
