I understand that HKUST also does not do electronic transcript. Ali schools are different. Try your best to comment Ruth what they say and get it over and done with la.
Please submit ECA. We cannot determine if your qualification is accredited by ECA agencies. But the university programs are not restricted to only HK to qualify for OWP. Any accredited university and eligible programs would do.

If your higher diploma was not from an accredited institution or not an academic program, it will NOT be eligible. It does not matter which ECA provider you use. Please ensure that you have provided enough information to WES.
The ECA for course by course credit transfer for school, is a different report. The ECA report you need for OWP application is for "IRCC immigration purpose"

If it is not a degree, I guess if it is a post graduate diploma of sorts, then it has to be two years full time of rigor. Also, since it is not a degree, you need ECA.

But judging by the way you are asking questions, you seen to be at the stage of shopping for programs to take. There is no list to tell you if you degree qualifies. If your are serious any studying, why don't you apply for a Canadian program? Are you referring to the transcripts to be sent to WES? They won't take anything from the candidate. They have to be sent from the school surely to WES. As to whether to send by hard copies or electronically, it depends on whether the school has an existing arrangement with WES.
Hi there, WES completed the evaluation using the transcript sent directly by the university and I have the ECA report already, but I realised that I didn't upload grad cert to WES at that time. If it is within 5 years from the date of your OWP application, then you are eligible to apply for OWP. BUT, you can only apply for PR AFTER you have accumulated one year (1560 hours based on max 30 hours a week - you can work more hours to make more $ but IRCC only counts 30 hours per week) of Canadian work experence. But the time you submit your PR application, your Degree graduation date still needs to be 5 years fresh.
Not sure. The only way to find out is to do ECA. But any vocational schools and our short programs under 2 years PS post secondary education are not eligible.
Technically, you only need to use the one where you got your graduated degree from. But, i have heard of cases where they denied a top up degree and the candidate had to send previous transcripts and get the school to write to WES to revise the report.
Lifeboat pathway had only releases OWP details for now. PR is separate and our agency is only focused on Lifeboat public education for now. This policy is designed to benefit the Canadian economy with stable workers and income tax. Sorry we don't have an answer to this question as it stands now.
Maintaining the PR status: the initial PR card is valid for 5 years. To renew a new PR card, one must have stayed in Canada for at least 730-day. For citizenship, the residency requirement is a minimum of 3-in-previous-5-year. They are totally separate programs. EE is competitive, point-based, and a draw of lottery. Lifeboat is straight forwrad -- if you are eligible, you are in. We will not do any public education on EE. We are volunteering our hours and efforts for this project, and can only focus on Lifeboat as it is more worthy.

Along with that, upon graduation of my bachelor degree I went onto UCLA extension for a continue education program. In there I did a one year program that got me a certificate on Aug 2020. Since I want to extend my five year window, should I submit this certificate along with my bachelors degree to WES? @@TommyLOL1097 you don't have to do IRCC but it may still ask for it, which means you will lose time. Regardless, you need to do to when you apply for PR. Only Canadian degrees are free from ECA. Therefore, I would recommend you do it now than later, as fees will get higher, and surprises are better identified at this stage so you have time to rectify them. If you use your degree to apply for OWP, then you have five years from the graduation date of your degree to finish your PR requirements. If you use your one-year PGD to apply, then you PGD needs to have started within 5 years from your degree grad date, and you will use your PGD grad date to start counting 5 years for yourself to meet PR requirements. For the second approach, you need ECA for both your degree and PGD.
Degree is not bound by how long, only post sec non degrees are. When you finish your one year of Canadian work experience, your latest eligible graduation needs to bed less than 5 years ago. Since it is a degree, only your latest degree needs to be shown.
I graduated in 2020 with a Postgraduate Diploma which is started no more than 5 years after the graduation of my bachelor degree in Hong Kong. I am going to apply an ECA for IRCC, and would like to ask : (1) Does WES need my degree transcript to verify my postgraduate diploma is based on a Bachelor's degree? 1. Suggest you do both since you must provide such ECA when you apply for PR. It is easier to do it now than later. 2. That depends on your school. Every school is different.
Apply for ECA first, then lei the confirmation of ECA application. Then apply for OWP, and upload the confirmation of ECA application. When you receive the ECA results, upload it.

You school may not require you to have an WCA to apply for their diploma program. But you may still want to get that done for any possible transfer credits. The report you select for.ECA is "for school and academic purposes".

@@TheRachelsin it us but about highest PR not, it is which graduation you are using. If you want to minimize confusion, you can use inside the bachelor degree and nothing else.
You can scan and upload to IRCC where they all for your ECA to buy some time. Ir it is an accredited institution and an accredited degree, IRCC may just take that. But WES requires it to be deliVered from the school to WES

After that, I started to study a postgraduate diploma (part-time) (2years) (distance- learning) in HKMU from 2021 until now. And I will graduate in Aug 2023. I would like to leave in Aug 2024. Owing to this, I would like to ask if postgrad diploma (2 years) (distance learning) course from HKMU is adequate for applying ECA, OWP and Stream B?
By "local university, do you mean Canadian"? If so, you can apply for stream A PR directly. If not, your 2020 degree qualifies you for Stream B OWP, but you Post grad dip will be too late OWP application deadline is 2023.02.06. Using your 2020 degree top easily for OWP, you need to have completed your 1560 hours of Canadian work experience on payroll by 2025, that is, no more than 5 years from the dates on your graduation wallpaper. Coming here in 2024 may not give you enough time to find workc and accumulate your work experience. Remember, IRCC only counts 30 hours a week max no matter hype much you work.

Your official transcript is supposed to be sent to WES by your school. They will not evaluate any documents not sent by the school.

You have a risk of being bounced back or denied by IRCC. Suggest you use web form to send back your diploma and transcripts.

Include both transcripts for ECA. I have heard of cases where they failed ECA. You need them for PR anyways.

If it is within 5 years from the date of your OWP application, then you are eligible to apply for OWP. BUT, you can only apply for PR AFTER you have accumulated one year (1560 hours based on max 30 hours a week - you can work more hours to make more $ but IRCC only counts 30 hours per week) of Canadian work experence. But the time you submit your PR application, your Degree graduation date still needs to be 5 years fresh.

Technically, you only need to use the one where you got your graduated degree from. But, i have heard of cases where they denied a top up degree and the candidate had to send previous transcripts and get the school to write to WES to revise the report.

Master's should be enough, but hopefully WES things it is accredited and equivalent to a master's.

Lifeboat pathway had only releases OWP details for now. PR is separate and our agency is only focused on Lifeboat public education for now. This policy is designed to benefit the Canadian economy with stable workers and income tax. Sorry we don't have an answer to this question as it stands now.
Maintaining the PR status: the initial PR card is valid for 5 years. To renew a new PR card, one must have stayed in Canada for at least 730-day.
For citizenship, the residency requirement is a minimum of 3-in-previous-5-year. However, time spent in Canada while being a Study/Work permit holder count 50%, and one may claim up to 1-year credit to meet the 3.

They are totally separate programs. EE is competitive, point-based, and a draw of lottery. Lifeboat is straight forwrad -- if you are eligible, you are in. We will not do any public education on EE. We are volunteering our hours and efforts for this project, and can only focus on Lifeboat as it is more worthy.

However I do have one question, if I graduated a 4 year university in June of 2019, but my bachelors of art degree is given on march of 2020. Along with that, upon graduation of my bachelor degree I went onto UCLA extension for a continue education program. In there I did a one year program that got me a certificate on Aug 2020. Since I want to extend my five year window, should I submit this certificate along with my bachelors degree to WES? As I do believe it fulfils the this requirement “graduate or post-graduate diploma or certificate for a program of at least 1 year”. Much appreciation!

@@TommyLOL1097 you don't have to do IRCC but it may still ask for it, which means you will lose time. Regardless, you need to do to when you apply for PR. Only Canadian degrees are free from ECA. Therefore, I would recommend you do it now than later, as fees will get higher, and surprises are better identified at this stage so you have time to rectify them. If you use your degree to apply for OWP, then you have five years from the graduation date of your degree to finish your PR requirements. If you use your one-year PGD to apply, then you PGD needs to have started within 5 years from your degree grad date, and you will use your PGD grad date to start counting 5 years for yourself to meet PR requirements. For the second approach, you need ECA for both your degree and PGD.

Degree is not bound by how long, only post sec non degrees are. When you finish your one year of Canadian work experience, your latest eligible graduation needs to bed less than 5 years ago. Since it is a degree, only your latest degree needs to be shown.

(1) Does WES need my degree transcript to verify my postgraduate diploma is based on a Bachelor's degree?
(Since it is unnecessary to do an ECA for a degree holder now, so I would prefer only applying for an ECA on the postgraduate diploma)
(2) If my institution is not the WES partner, would the registry office still be able to send the electronic documents, i.e. my transcripts as attachment via email?

Apply for ECA first, then lei the confirmation of ECA application. Then apply for OWP, and upload the confirmation of ECA application. When you receive the ECA results, upload it.

You school may not require you to have an WCA to apply for their diploma program. But you may still want to get that done for any possible transfer credits. The report you select for.ECA is "for school and academic purposes".

Then I accomplished Bachelor Degree (Education) in 2019, which one should I fill in on WES application? Only your bachelor is eligible. Just use that one.

You can scan and upload to IRCC where they all for your ECA to buy some time. Ir it is an accredited institution and an accredited degree, IRCC may just take that. But WES requires it to be deliVered from the school to WES

The program is eligible, but your graduation date listed on your diploma should be 5 years or less before the date of the start of your application.

I have graduated from local university in 2020. After that, I started to study a postgraduate diploma (part-time) (2years) (distance- learning) in HKMU from 2021 until now. And I will graduate in Aug 2023. I would like to leave in Aug 2024.
Owing to this, I would like to ask if postgrad diploma (2 years) (distance learning) course from HKMU is adequate for applying ECA, OWP and Stream B?
By "local university, do you mean Canadian"? If so, you can apply for stream A PR directly. If not, your 2020 degree qualifies you for Stream B OWP, but you Post grad dip will be too late OWP application deadline is 2023.02.06. Using your 2020 degree top easily for OWP, you need to have completed your 1560 hours of Canadian work experience on payroll by 2025, that is, no more than 5 years from the dates on your graduation wallpaper. Coming here in 2024 may not give you enough time to find workc and accumulate your work experience. Remember, IRCC only counts 30 hours a week max no matter hype much you work.
