Torn between the G80 and the CT5 V Blackwing, both great cars
For pure performance, especially modded performance, the G80 M3 is the better choice. But the CT5 V will hold its value better in the long run, especially if you choose the manual version.
I wouldn’t get buckets even if it was a free option…. 🤷🏻♂️ the ride quality is horrible 😄 time for M8

Personally those grill prices are out of control. I love the oem wheels but they’re just a pain to keep clean. Psi pads coming soon. I’m a bit timid on the suspension so I’m going eibach front and spacers (need to decide best front and rear spacer combo with no rubs). I did not go cf inlets so I’m looking for good gloss black ones. I think it will be a unique look. Past that, I have a manual and want to go with all black emblems and then I think I’m done. Ppf and ceramic was my first action. Love the frozen but it’s just too crazy to keep up if you live to drive and full ppf is crazy expensive with no resale value.
There are a bunch of front grills selling for $150-300, which is not bad at all. But anything over $500 is a rip off

It’s x-drive or no-drive on this car for me. Why? Because the coolest thing about the x-drive in this car is that you also have the ability to change it to RWD. So you get the best of both worlds. No brainer to me.

Fun video! I daily a G80 and enjoy seeing the content. I LOVE the look of frozen paint and was tempted to go with matte PPF over my Skyscraper Grey spec, but went will full glossy instead. My spec has Fjord Blue interior and I love that, but if I had a do-over I'd seriously consider one of BMW's Individual blue colors. I nearly bought a Techno Violet Jahre, but it was going to be > $10k more to bring it in from out of state (including Jahre tax). The local ones had the ceramic brakes and buckets that I didn't want.
I LOVE my OEM wheels but they are so awful to take care of. I took delivery in December during a cold season, so I had to immediately grab a set of winter wheels and tires. Otherwise I might be tempted to turn the OEMs into a winter setup in favor of something easier to clean. I'm ok with the stock grille and likely won't spend any money there. I totally agree about the stance, but I can just BARELY get into my driveway (slopes down) without dragging the underside as-is. I can't do a thing about the suspension.
My wife had a car with satin white/ frozen paint and will never in my lifetime get another car like that. If you get into an accident and have to replace a panel, the entire car needs to be resprayed, you cannot blend it in and that's if you can even find a shop that knows what they are doing.
So I can’t get a bumper resprayed if it has rock chips with frozen paint?
You can, but it is going to be very very very very very difficult to match. I know someone who had to get their rear bumper for sprayed four times for it to match.

I got alpine white right now. Whats the best route to getting the frozen look. Wrap or ppf? Im debating either making it frozen white or frozen black. Probably black tbh
If you want that frozen look. You would want a stealth PPF. Would be very similar.
A lot of people do black tbh. You won't see a lot with white.
@@TheDailyDriven in my area I've literally only seen one other g82 and it's alpine white aswell lol. But I agree from seeing alot of vids online pretty much everyone chooses to go with dark colors. If I was able to order one new I would of got the voodoo blue or some kind of blue with blue bucket seats. Literally no one has the blue buckets and they look insane. But I got apline white with red interior. I'm going to also have some red accents around the car either way when I change the color so it looks different from others.
