I first learned of Big C by way of Bay Area rap music I was only 15,16 when I found a cassette at San Jose’s independent black owned “star records” that store has the best music in any genre and it was always packed because they catered to the people’s musical needs better than the big music chains...anyways I see a tape that keep grabbing my attention it was two brothers in beanies wearing blue shirts that reminded me of state issue prison shirts “next2kin” I bought the cassette and loved it..a few years later thier music producer became my producer as I also began trying to record rap music...big-c and Zoe the roasta man they could really give you an ear full of real game their music was filled with military mindedness and revolutionary bits with some street commentary too I always wished they would have recorded more music together-Big C always has some good wisdoms to share
