I'll be honest. Major nostalgia for Black Mesa. We need more black mesa constructions because of all the games and things released so far worldwide, nothing comes to the atmosphere as much as this did. Nonsense corridors and insane architecture where everything feels retrofitted.
There's something oddly eerie about all of it, the empty rooms, the echoing halls, when the music started playing in the lobby, the echoing notes were just strangely unsettling. Everything's so pristine but so empty.

This is incredible, i really wish there was a mod pack that incentivised this type of building in survival, it’s so awesome and creative looking, and i especially like the half life influence in some of the areas such as the locker room and space suit area
Well the pack does make it necessary to build factories to progress into other chapters, but yeah I usually just mine out a giant hole and put stuff in there in other packs lol
I got this really strange super uneasy feeling when the robot put the disk in. Seeing robots in the bunker being acting friendly almost human like gave me a "last man on earth" vibe. Love the build.
Its pretty simple to get into it though However its much more difficult if you start in creative mode since in survival your limited resources wont give you much to work with except a couple gears and odd machines allowing you to start simple, with creative your just given access to EVERYTHING and it can be pretty overwhelming
It's almost like this modpack was made for making underground facilities. I'm playing it another time currently, and whenever I go underground I feel the yet-to-be facility calling me to come discover it bit by bit. Can't deny I keep remembering this video in those moments.

Dude i love this so much! I downloaded the world and checked it out myself in greater detail and I just love all the references: Half Life, Undertale (Grillby's), TF2 (Lockers), Portal (Long Fall Module), Left 4 Dead 2 (Lockers), Duke Nukem (also lockers lol), No smoKING (That one legendary tf2 sfm) and thats as much as i found. I know i missed a few but still this is a really cool creation!

absolutely amazing build. cant imagine the effort that went in behind the scenes to make this work. especially all the bug fixing probably. what really did it for me though was the when you played the ruler of everything. I love tally hall and are from my local area so that was awesome to hear. good work!!
Agreed, the echoes of arriving to the station combine well with the echoing cavernous spaces and hallways of Black Mesa. Now if only we could get a broadcast system to do that faint intercom message you hear when you first get to the station, love that ambiance.

I just feel delighted with the amount of stuff put into this modpack. Unfortunately, I am aiming more for decoration rather than automation (not that it really matters), and the stuff this modpack offers is sadly too heavy for a computer like mine to afford. I have almost 300 mods installed and I think it can't afford more of that number. Mods like Tinker's Construct and that type are too heavy for my system to afford, and I have put many performance improving mods but they end up ruining a lot of code. That means my decent (not powerful) PC just affords lightweight mods. I have even tried allocating more RAM but it doesn't change anything. The same amount of jittering, lag spikes and constant temporary world freezing. Allocating more than 6 GB of RAM just doesn't work. 4-5 makes it run worse. Other thing to note is that it's SO complex to understand mods like ComputerCraft and many others. They just make me give up trying to understand. So yeah, I feel kinda empty inside knowing that my PC has an actual limit and could explode in any moment if I surpass that limit, i.e, i try to install 100 more mods. Edit: My uncreative ass head is also a problem, so I can't even build a good milk farm without having to use creative only gadgets.
Create is actually very performance friendly, but I understand your fear about learning the mods. I'm progressing in the pack rather slowly, but it feels good to finally understand something and then feel as if it was obvious the whole time.

I have no words, this is just cool
I just feel delighted with the amount of stuff put into this modpack. Unfortunately, I am aiming more for decoration rather than automation (not that it really matters), and the stuff this modpack offers is sadly too heavy for a computer like mine to afford. I have almost 300 mods installed and I think it can't afford more of that number. Mods like Tinker's Construct and that type are too heavy for my system to afford, and I have put many performance improving mods but they end up ruining a lot of code. That means my decent (not powerful) PC just affords lightweight mods. I have even tried allocating more RAM but it doesn't change anything. The same amount of jittering, lag spikes and constant temporary world freezing. Allocating more than 6 GB of RAM just doesn't work. 4-5 makes it run worse.
Other thing to note is that it's SO complex to understand mods like ComputerCraft and many others. They just make me give up trying to understand. So yeah, I feel kinda empty inside knowing that my PC has an actual limit and could explode in any moment if I surpass that limit, i.e, i try to install 100 more mods.
Edit: My uncreative ass head is also a problem, so I can't even build a good milk farm without having to use creative only gadgets.
Create is actually very performance friendly, but I understand your fear about learning the mods.
I'm progressing in the pack rather slowly, but it feels good to finally understand something and then feel as if it was obvious the whole time.
