I think this is the heaviest punishment of a princess by her father that I have ever seen on TV. 😢😅 To us this seems justifiable, but actually quite sad, cruel and unfair to those servants. Doesn't quite fit with the majesty's image here. 😉
I dont think so, the princess herself its been spoiled & full of herself, arogant and belittleling people all this time, oh ya..immoral, as princess who still single but having so many 'aides', and her evil traits became more & more because of those aides influenced, even the emperor's 1st punishment didn't make her realize so, maybe after all of those useless man die, she'll regain her sense back😊

It is nowhere clearly said that they were her harem, but at least they were servants. I mean it would be pretty unlikely for a princess to get intimate with any men outside of marriage. At first I thought it were acquaintances or socialites, but it would probably not have been possible to kill them off like that. The assumption is, just as mentioned, that those people ill-advised her. Instead of leading her in virtous ways it is implied they put and reinforced bad behavior and immoral thinking into her mind, thus she and them were punished by killing them off.
They're her 'aides' or advisors. They're basically her servants and spies.The fact that she's intimate with them or not was left ambiguous in the show (although I personally think she did). As the previous comment said, it was very improper for her as she's unwed and the member of the royal family.
