Uncle taking advantage of the situation to beg again for divorce is sending me! "See the BS I put up with, if you had just given me a divorce when I asked we could be free of her already and not even be in this mess, she's crazy!"
I absolutely loved the Prince (the Uncle). I loved it when he begged the Emperor too and wanted to divorce the Princess. Mind you she was a nasty piece of work. The Prince was so funny and I especially enjoyed it when Shaoshang asked him to cancel the wedding when he turned up to deliver the dowry and he said No! Even though his own petulant granddaughter (who he doted on) was adamant that she would marry Ling Buyi. You will not be sorry. This drama has replaced all my old favorites -- and that's saying something. I would also suggest you check out Wu Lei's (ML) other two dramas which I adore: "The Long Ballad" and "Amidst a Snowstorm of Love". They are both instant favs, but LLTG takes the winning spot hands down.
@@SaddlemommaThe long ballad me encanto el personaje de Wu Lei, me encanto Lusi y el malo, pero odie el de Dilraba. Parecia una niña caprichosa, vengativa sin sentido. That annoying old lady didn't even show the Empress any respect when she arrived. In real life - no matter if she was the emperor's aunt or not - she would still be expected to kneel when the Empress showed up. The Empress was the highest-ranking lady of the land. Nor did she kneel when he arrived. To not kneel would have had severe consequences. Even the Crown Prince and the other royal children - who all out-ranked the old bat - had to kneel until given permission to rise. But at least she got her comeuppance later. Like how Consort Yue put her in her place. Love the Empress, but sometimes she's too nice.
this was one of my favorite scenes. I love the way the old man took a page from his crazy wife's book and cast himself at his feet in desperation. it was truly one of the best.

Just saw this clip and it has opened up a whole other world. It looks fantastic I’m going to find it and binge watch it, because this is amazing 😻. A scene with this much drama has to have a hell of a back story! Loved that the main character was able to just slap all there faces without seeming to be cruel about it. And the reaction to the part where the two women were dragged out was great. Best close of the scene was the emperor and his uncle who were like, “ that was a hard days work… let’s drink!’ When for the most part the emperor didn’t involve himself in the tear down and the uncle just couldn’t contain himself anymore and just wanted to divorce his wife

Love this scene, but the music played over the dialog really ruined it. It got louder and louder so that it drowned out the language. Really ruined the scene.
I feel the saddest part of this story is the Empress loved the Emperor but knew that no matter how much she loved him and did what was best for the country she would never have his heart. One good thing that was in this story is that the concubine had her back and would stay in the back ground to let the Empress be the leader in the role of Empress even though the Empress knew that his desire and true love was the concubine. This story took me through all the emotions and that is why they are on my permanent rotation list. 😍😍💖💖
