I noticed the waist band was not deducted , which means it will be add to the length of the short. Wen sewing mine I can subtract 2inches from the waist line to my full length den add it back while sewing. I hope it works that way too.

@@cindyscouture8324 exactly my dear. If you don't want your shorts to be high waist, deduct the 2 inches for the waist band. I prefer mine extremely high waisted. Thank you for watching. Much love❤❤❤

I made mine today with ankara. But after cutting it was exactly my waist measurement without the pleat. So I ended up making mine without the pleat.

So we have to divide the round hip measurement by 3 instead of 4, the mistake was in the voiceover.
Please we divide the round hip measurement by 3 so we can have extra inches for the pleats.

How did you determine the 3-inch line ?
@@kristysampath For size small and medium it's a standard to help achieve the crotch depth. For large and XL, 4-5 inches is recommended

@Maria_Yenga i didn't want the pleats, so I divided the hip measurements by 4
However, I forgot to add seam allowance
So it's too small

@@cindyscouture8324 yes yes my dear, you can use the exact same method to make the long pants. You fold your fabric in a triangular shape but with the full length of the long pants and follow the same procedure. It will come out perfectly and beautiful like the blue pants or African print pants you saw in the video. ❤❤
