I really love this topic! I feel like each year we add a new enrichment study and it is always my daughter's favorite part of homeschool. I think it's the things that will stick with our children and really shape how they learn in the future.

I love this! We also do an enrichment day (we make ours on Wednesday though. My kids are young so breaking up the school week works wonderfully.) We have a morning either out with friends doing nature study or we do it on our own. We then come home and do our art and music lesson, home economics, habit training and either typing or coding. We finish off with a poetry tea time. It is my kids’ favourite day of the school week!

Hello! You mentioned that you were going to link some of your videos where you go more in depth -like your morning time. I would love to see those but may be missing where to find them.

This was wonderful, peaceful and I see the intentionality of your organization of your Monday’s.
Amen to being exhausted on Friday and fizzling out.
I am going to do smoothies and Shakespeare too!

Do you plan on doing this in highschool years? Work load seems to go up in those years and it can sometimes feel like it stresses the highschooler due to work load.

I don’t plan to change this in high school whatsoever, although I’m not there yet so I can’t say for certain. I don’t believe we will be choosing any curriculum that is different than what we use now, or curriculum that would be so intense a work load that we wouldn’t have time to set a day aside for the things of beauty or life skills that would serve them well beyond high school years (some of the most important lessons, in my opinion) ❤️
We currently homeschool with other Charlotte Mason style high schoolers and I haven’t seen that intense of a load that the students are stressed, could you expand on that so I can better prepare for something I may not be considering?

@@RootedinRest I'm not to highschool yet, I have an 8th grader. We do not school year round, maybe we should. We are doing Sonlight, Saxon math pre algebra, entering algebra, and science is Apologia Physical Science. He does basketball, guitar, and we have a homeschool group that meets every week for 20 weeks, we break for holidays. This year he seems to feel pressure from extras, even our morning time, I call it power hour. Maybe it's just the changes going on in him. Not sure. Never been an issue before. I have considered letting him do what he needs to do, but I'm not ready to let go of power hour. Just curious what your take is. Math and Science do take longer this year. Physical Science is a pretty big step up from genera in my opinionl. He doesn't really struggle, but he strives on doing a good job. His mind does wonder a lot these day, which may be why he takes longer, may be hormones. Not entirely sure. Just curious.

Oh yes, I would agree and I should have said this in my video, that year round gives us this flexibility!
