i gifted diapers last year to my sister in laws infant ! I've always gifted only clothing and necessities for the smaller children/babies. As a mom I'd much rather receive useful items than toys that will end up in the trash, so I gift things that i know i would like/appreciate !

My husband and I dont do gifts for each other for christmas either. We are blessed ro be able to buy what we want/need during the year.
I also didn’t buy my daughter toys this year (other than her lovevery subscription) but rather functional items/activities she likes since I know my parents and siblings will spoil her with toys. And Im trying to lessen the clutter in my home before I have another baby in 2 months.
We do however, do secret santa with my family so we get one nice gift 🎁 i feel this makes it sooo much less stressful and we dont overconsume during the season.
Also you wearing Daisy while she makes tiny noises is just so adorable! Merry christmas 🎄 to you and your family in your first home!

Last year for our white elephant I did scratch off lotto tickets. For our present giving we do a $50 limit and we pick a name out of a hat.
