At first, I won't lie, I was finding it so difficult to follow this tutorial, so I sincerely watched this about 10 plus times, until I understood the Pen Tool. That Pen Tool takes some serious practice. However, now I understand what you're doing, I'm actually learning. Thank You for posting this. This helped me with a project I need to complete.
