Just started playing the game and doing mission stuff for friends. Had no idea there were pre-built SAM templates. This is going to save to much time and headache, thank you.
Okay. So its I suck at doing this, or its I'm doing something wrong because when I spawn them in I do the right steps but when an enemy plane flies over it doesn't do anything but sit there
The most common issues are: missing a unit such as one of the radars or communication units, not having the units set to a high enough skill, having the radars obstructed by terrain so they cannot lock the target aircraft quickly enough. Hopefully this helps.
Would you like to see more of these kinds of videos?
Yes!
A video on the Rapier would be good.
It was next on my list too
Yes please!

Unfortunately the Launchers won’t launch when I try to use the SAM. All the skills are set to excellent
You should also add RWR nomenclature in the videos for each SAM system
That is a good idea
And reload times too good sir!! Great job all the same

The only thing that follows the aircraft is the radar that looks like two dish pans

@@DCSChopsticks Nah I did all that correctly. I spawned in the entity thingy that looks like 2 squares connected with a bridge
And all the units are at a good skill level? Sometimes the templates have odd skill levels.
@@DCSChopsticks I don't think the skill level matters, does it? All the launchers do is sit there and do nothing but only the radar tracks the enemies
