Deadly punch caught on video outside Ybor City bar

- The two men had never met, but when they did outside an Ybor bar in September in 2019, it was deadly. Now, Justin Jasper is headed to prison for killing Dyante Neal with one punch.
In surveillance video obtained by FOX 13 News, Neal can be seen standing with another man outside Coyote Ugly in Ybor at 2:30 in the morning. Suddenly, Jasper shows up in the video and, seemingly without provocation, punches Neal -- who never saw it coming.
Neal is seen hitting his head on the ground in the fall. Prosecutors say Neal never regained consciousness and died at the hospital of severe head trauma.

Don't worry it's the Florida prison system, he won't get out in 7 years with the charges he will catch inside. Florida system is no joke and he will have to commit violence or be a victim. He doesn't look like the victim type.

I agree, but he was charged with manslaughter, and 7 years seems to be the kind of time that I frequently see people get for manslaughter, including DUI manslaughter cases. Many a young-and old-man has been in an argument that turned physical, and could easily be in this same situation. I would be interested in knowing the convicted man’s history, if any, of violence. Sad for all involved.

7 years isn't long enough. SOME ONE IS DEAD!!! My mom's friend, who is now 71, is and has been in prison for 30 years for charges of embezzlement after being the fall guy. THIS IS CRAZY!! Ruggs (former Raiders player) should be in prison for more than 3 years (sentence 3-10, but we all know he won't serve more than 3).

It's astonishing to realise that someone can die from a punch when I had a head injury from an accident where I was thrown down the gangway of a bus and hit my head several on poles and the backs of chairs at high velocity before hitting the ground, but I'm still here 20 years later.
I just can't understand how hard you would have to hit someone to punch their life away and why you would do it if not in self defense.
How are you comparing the severity of your head trauma to his? Everyone is different and it only takes the cortex of the brain to be hit in the right spot to irreparably damage brain stem nerves. Read about CTE, and you'll understand a little more.
The back of the head is the weakest point of the head. He fell backwards and hit his back head. Even a punch at the back of the head can kill you. Professional boxers who hit their opponents at the back of the head loose a point or are disqualified. Most pple that die from sucker punches fall backwards

if you get a head injury like that you should always get it checked in the hospital because you never know what actual damage you have. you could wake up with a permanent stutter because you actually had a concussion that you weren't aware of and went to sleep that night. you never know
I really doubt it was the punch itself that killed him. The kid bashed his skull when he hit the ground. There are other cases like this and they pretty much all have the same thing in coming. They got punched and smashed their skull when they fell

Prisons would be jam packed if everyone who accidentally killed someone were locked up for 25 to life.
Florida requires 85% of time to be served. Parole is pointless. You only do 85%.

Yeah..in ky I was facing a year in jail for 38 dollars worth of magazines that were at the bottom of the cart I grabbed in the middle of the store while shopping..I hadn't even made it out of the door not realizing they were in the bottom of carr.

I got 12 years for committing burglary. Non violent, no contact with the victims, didn't break or destroy anything, took some cash and some items. 12 years. Served 10. I did it, I plead guilty, I deserved to go to prison. This man killed someone. 7 years. Will probably only serve 5, or less. How does that make sense?
