- This knot works great when you need to tie something down without having to find the end of your rope. The marlin spike and nylon cord can be found at my shop, AwesomeForSale. Thanks

Thanks for taking advantage of the perfect filming conditions to show us all a nice useful knot
I love these truck-bed videos.
All-time favorite part, after the ninja knot tying, is when you smack the object and triumphantly proclaim "and that's not going anywhere".
Gets me every time. You my friend, with a handful of paramax cord, are a wonderfully dangerous combination.
Don’t even have a truck anymore, but I love sending these videos to my friend who just got a truck.
This man goes to the hardware store just so he can tie things down.
I enjoy the series of knot tying, before (and still) I watched your videos, I was the king of "cannot tie knots, tie lots"
Thanks for the variety of examples. Truly the David Copperfield of knot teaching.
First Class, yes... Amateur, nope! You are a professional when it comes to rope tying. I always enjoy your videos, Thanks
Me too!
HERE , HERE !!! Simply outstanding 😮😊
"Good! You're not doing what you're supposed to!" LOL!
Next week: how to tie up and gag your loved ones while filming.
Really looking forward to that next video for ummm reasons. 😇
Very nice. No mass network of knots, just a single loop or bite and some pressure. The half hitches are to counter for vibration. Excellent job. Thanks for sharing.
U gotta be kidding
I LOVE this new Transport Loop!..amazingly easy. This is the answer for when we have a very long Tag Line.
Well done. Simple and well taught. You are an effective teacher!
Very similar ,in my mind ,to the tensioning of the Trucker Hitch! I like how by pulling in offsetting directions you are keeping load centered! I was building a large gazebo type structure by myself and needed a way to keep a wall panel up right while I attached beams .I ran ropes in offsetting directions to trees and centered with a couple farrimunds friction hitches ! I find it easy to follow your videos ,very well done! Thanjs
Just discovered your channel. I am advocating Brent for President 2024! Rooster approved!
Sounds good! You can be my VP.
Love your work. You make the world better. Thank you.
I just learned that bowline method for the first time a week ago, and here it is again.
I’ll try that transport loop, thanks.
Second video of yours I've watched. Awesome! Already saved the "In-line Auto Truckers Hitch. Better Explanation" (2021/07/16) one as one of my favourites.
Then... just when I thought the video couldn't get any better... and I was thinking this guy is obviously not like us mere mortals. Trusty wife's voice anchors it all down in reality. Lovely! 🙂
When I saw this, I wanted to go and fix everything in my server room :D! You are doing pure magic (helpful tips) with ropes and knots! Great!
Superlative video - straight to the point; excellent, clear instruction; no wasted time. Thank you very much.
Thanx for this video once again something good I’ll put to work in real life…. I appreciate the time you put into your videos they definitely bring value to a lot of people and I for one always look forward to the next one you put out
Used this to haul a canoe in the back of my truck. Worked great!
Nice knots, nice video, high quality with the hands never blocking the view, I appreciate!
Great knot. Been using your truckers hitch for quite a bit now. But the very end of the video is the best ..."You're not doing what your supposed to...". I feel you bro. I feel you.
He did it again! Thanks for all these practical tutorials :)
I gotta say great job on your teaching skills and step by step explanations..Your doing all the good brother, keep it up..thanks again I learned something new and it's awesome
You the man, buddy! Hope that you and your family are doing well. The best to you, and hello from Florida!
Solid advice.. Thanks Brent for the "demo" of the Blackwall principle...
Always, unbelievably perfect. Yikes! So excellent!
"... and thats not going anywhere ..." said every dad ever! Kidding aside, thanks for the great tutorial.
The ending was the best! "Perfect filing conditions" 😂
Absolutely brilliant. So useful.
I wanted to support this guy so I ordered a 50ft hank of rope and a marlin spike from his website. I was pleasantly surprised, it’s quality stuff. Thank you!
I just ordered another hank of Paramax and four shackles.
Thanks for your content and sharing your skills
Muy práctico y efectivo. Una manera muy limpia y sencilla de usar la cuerda. No hay duda, es muy funcional y seguro. Gracias por compartirlo
Stellar!! I will definitely be using this a lot!
Great stuff, as always.
Great and handy knots. Thanks!
Just briliant. Yet again, you've provided such a useful knot and applications for it. Cheers
Totally agree
thank y0u f0r sharing clever ideas... keep it up...
Thanks for your guide
Genial, sencillo pero muy efectivo.! Excelente.!
Great video man.
I had been doing this starting with a constrictor in the middle then using two trucker’s hitches for both sides. This seems a lot easier.
Beautiful.
Thanks for another great video. I wanted to add another tip as my truck doesn’t have open hooks, which makes attaching the bight to the second hook a bit tricky if not tedious. I got inspired by the Captain Mullins hitch and attaching the bight to the second hook could be done with a larks head. I don’t know if that makes sense 😅 you have to see it to understand it like always.
Thank you. I need to take my own black pen to work and now I can transport it safely. Inflation is making glue and acetone too expensive for that daily project.
I love this channel
Good explanation. I’ve heard it called a “hay-haulers hitch”.
Oh you better do what you’re supposed to man! Gonna be sleeping in a tent! At least you can tie some kick ass knots to help secure it and a rain cover!
Great content, even the interruption at the end, 🤣
muy buen nudo y bien explicado!!!
the "that aint goin nowhere" and a firm smack are an essential part of the process
Like your Videos, good job
Keep at it. Good job.
This is totally awesome.
I have a ratchet strap, though.
Brilliant video..... LMFAO at the ending 😂🤣😂😂
โคตรดี โคตรง่าย 👍🇹🇭
Nice knot
Спасибо за хороший узел.Прияно смотреть на умных людей и переводить не надо.
Kool Knots
Great truck, btw! Nice to have a utility vehicle you don’t mind bashing up the bed a bit.
This is a great video! That said I was wondering if it would still work with 1) an item heavy enough that it can't be easily shifted or 2) with the twine supplied by home improvement stores.
Speaking of the twine provided by home improvement stores, i would love to see a video on knots that work with it.
Excelente 👌
Where do you find these helpful knots ideas? Best instructions!!!! Thanks again for sharing & helping.
😀👍Great Tips
This is great stuff. Gotta get some S hooks for the truck
Commenting for algorithm.
Need to wrap that first bight at least twice if your pipe weighs more than a stick of 3/4" EMT.
People in LA need to watch this, there is always a ladder somewhere on the freeways 🤪
Genius
Thankyou sir, I cant wait to try this 40 times and still fuck it up. Ill get there one day
Do you have a video on rope storage? I can’t find one if you do. Great work! Much appreciated!
This should be taught in grade school
Great content. I have a question. What solution do you propose if I would have to put a rope between two pipes that are concreted in the ground. The rope must be very tight. On the first tube
I can use any knot, but what kind of knot should I use on the other pipe that has to tighten the rope?
It's transport loops all the way down 😊
👍👍👍
I use the truckers hitch that holds its own tension exclusively since I learned it 7 months ago. I can't even remember how I did truckers hitchs before this method. Was putting a tarp over my trailer 2 days ago and thought of your video. Now, another tool for the tool box.
Would you research your locking method with more loops for mechanical advantage?
Bights, bights everywhere, but not a bight to eat!
Witnessed an aluminium storm door go air bound out of a motorist's truck bed. It was NOT tied down. The driver had no idea that his door would become a kite at 55 mph. Fortunately, no one was tailgating the man.
👍🙏
👍👍🙂
What is the benefit of using shackles as anchor points, as opposed to carabiners for example?
Thanks.
Absolute genius, without question. Do these ideas come as ready-made inspirations, or are they the culmination of some/many failed attempts?
With all knots and knotting it's trial by fire and sometimes we suffer with accidents (pallets going over,or things moving and breaking.....the worst is when a knot collapses into a knot that has to be cut, and we all hate cutting our rope)
Great rope tying! But the ladder will fit in the bed diagonally, no rope needed! Use a 10 foot 2X12 and REALLY impress us! jk🤣
👍🏼💪🏼
I like it 😊, but what about I have very small diameter steel bar easy to bend it? I usually put 1 end on top truck the other end stuck in the gage bed to tie both knots for both side of the truck, I knew it's dangerous but no way to tie it.
On the end ........Came on son , I´m shutting a video to youtube. =)
3:14 double it
Would this be the same configuration when stabilizing a BBQ in the truck bed? Do you have a video on tying off a wheeled / object?
Thanks so much!
Will this work with the tailgate down and several sheets of 3/4 inch 4x8 plywood?
How the heck did u learn all this rope knowledge
While doing the metal tubing you didn’t pull the 2nd bite from underneath as you did with the wood… is that an issue???
Actually, he did. He just did it really quick. Watch it again when he makes the second loop. All right, it might’ve been sideways and not directly underneath. But it does the same trick.
And now, everyone, get out and practice this over and over, else you'll forget it straightaway.
do you have a way to create bicycle trailer hitch out of knots? Knot need be easily seperate f
So the criteria is between
1. bicycle lower frame flat bar, the one holding the rear wheel.
2. trailer end has 3/4 inch alum round tube, nothing else.
What marlin spike is that? I've was talking to my wife last night about wanting one!
How is it better than using a ratchet strap? I almost never see ropes being used anymore (probably no one knows how to tie the knots) but aren't straps better?
👍🏻🇨🇦
Where do you get those hooks for your anchor points? I have to thread the rope through my anchor points, I can't just hook it, which makes it impossible to follow what you are doing.
You can buy them at home improvement stores like Lowes, Home Depot, or Ace Hardware.
smokin
I'm trying to find a marlin spike like yours for my son's birthday. Where can I buy one?
AwesomeForSale.com, it’s my online shop.
@@First_Class_Amateur Thanks, order placed! keep up the great content!
I’m guessing a BM1?
i don't like this version as it relies on the shape of the object being fastened. your ridiculously tight trucker's hitch and the two carabiner blackwall hitch i like and use a lot
Why not just lay the entire 4x4 down, into the bed? It fits.
