I'll be honest, I never listen to podcasts and rarely watch them, either...but the "plogging" is somehow interesting enough to keep me tuned in for an entire hour, whereas the in-studio podcast typically isn't. I re-subscribed to the TryPod because of these car podcast episodes!
I am shocked how much the "on the road" segments have made me decide that the TryPod is my favorite out of all of the company's podcasts. This is one of the biggest cultural upsets in recent history
I think the reason it feels so fresh is because they've done sitting down and talking about themselves for YEARS! And now we are instead seeing their fresh and excited perspective on things that aren't related to them!
That's so true! sometimes people work in 2 car teams, 1 follows the truck and tell the other car the address of where the package was left. Also sometime people follow the truck and steal the truck

Y’all being out and about has really refreshed this podcast and has made for some golden moments. I applaud y’all for being willing to shake formats up after a long-standing precedent.
Watching Keith casually drive through what appears to be at least 3 or 4 lane wide traffic while managing to be immersed in funny podcasting is amazing to me.
It's adorable how Keith stopped telling his story to be polite to the McDonald's worker and the whole gang was so polite. I love how genuine and down to earth our guys are ❤

I started work late because I went to the dentist this morning, and I always get myself a treat after the dentist. I pull up to my desk to watch something while I eat my McDonalds, and to my surprise, I see the boys are eating McDonalds too. I love strange coincidences. They're going to be sad they didn't share a cinnamon roll, though. That was delightful.
I think Miles secretly started a courier service so he can make a little money on the side by running errands while plogging, and no one is the wiser. He gets paid for making the podcast, paid for the delivery service, and scores free food on the company card. Definitely a Win/Win/Win for the most perfect person in the whole wide world.
The talk about people going really hard and not being able to swallow their pride reminded me of something my therapist told me (it was generally about anxiety, but I feel like it can apply here to), when you get worked up or triggered imagine it being like a snow globe being shaken and the snow starting to stir around. If your reaction is to panic or go harder on your anger, fear, etc. you will essentially keep shaking up the globe, and the snow will not settle. If you instead take a breath and give yourself a moment, the snow will settle, and the situation will be calm again.
You know the John Mulaney bit where he ends up accidentally chasing and terrifying a woman who he thought was just trying to catch the same train? This is like that.
Dietitian here for the fiber question, when you blend fruit/vegetables you break down fiber matrix and make the sugars more accessible. Is it better than juicing where all the fiber is removed? Yes. But you do get less of the stool bulking and gut fermentation benefit when the fiber is broken down so small.
Ok but seriously. Miles is absolutely accurate on the scissors. I use them for EVERYTHING. Need to cut up some chicken? Scissors. Pizza? Scissors. Salads? Definitely scissors. (Small diced/minced things need knife)
Getting a chicken biscuit and slapping a hash brown in that baby is 👌 amazing. Highly recommend. I feel like a lot of people in Cali don't know that a chicken biscuit is an option since it's not outright on the menu, but I get it whenever I'm at McDonald's for breakfast.

Pretty sure the hash browns aren't actually vegan treats--they contain beef flavor, like the fries. Though Zack isn't vegan for ethics, just health, so it's probably fine for him. For a real vegan treat at US McDonald's, try the apple pie! I dont fault minimum wage employees for not knowing the dietary info of every item they offer, but its frustrating and potentially dangerous when a customer is told that a specific product contains no animal products but in fact, it does.
They contain beef flavor that contains both wheat and dairy 😢 same with the fries. I would be wrecked if someone accidentally gave me dairy. This is why I trust no one lol.
This convinced me to order McDonalds breakfast for the first time in 10+ years. Took a couple of stops to see which McDonalds was still serving breakfast but definitely worth it! 😋

The shake I live on recently changed and thankfully I found a bit of a workaround but I am genuinely concerned for the future of grocery consistency because I NEED my safe foods 😅
