Man, it is clear that you are working hard in the shed and I hear this is really paying off! You sound awesome and swing damm right!! Keep it up please!!
This is perpetual Beauty in motion - sound, articulation, and ad lib that swings, swags and sways marvelously. You have me thinking of the great Art Pepper! Cannot get enough of THIS caravan, Jay! Encores needed.
You keep inspiring us with your playing. Thanks for clearing the path for us. Awesome track. I would like to see all these Better Trax songs get played and put on RUclips.
Wow. It is like you changed your sound specifically for this song. And it works. As usual you have a lot of skillsets at your disposal. Very, very cool.
Beautiful man - your mp is working for you big time! Nice dark, but clear, focus with “hair” on it :^) I’ve been enjoying my RPC piece for years but I might have to give yours a try. Side note: I just now discovered that Ron Coelho (RPC Mouthpieces) passed away over a year ago - so sad! He had such spirit and passion. Glad their are still folks like you (Jay) continuing the tradition.
Extra impressed here. Sounds wonderful. I've been playing so long and still can't control my sound like this. Can you teach doo den articulation? I've tried for years and can't get the ghost note thing! I can only do it somewhat if I crazy adjust my embouchure. I can't practice it enough because I get so discouraged!! If I could learn this thing. I would be so happy!
Hi Jay, sounds great! Quick question. I have trouble sounding melodic on the C7b9 in the A sections. I’ve tried half-whole diminished, C7 altered, Gb7, Bbm-Eb7 licks and nothing really sounds that great. Someone said to try F harmonic minor licks, which is somewhat outlined in the melody. What are you thinking over this chord?
I am looking for my first professional alto sax. My teacher says that she strongly recommends the yas 62. Do you have any recommendations? I know you love yanagisawa.
Try and get into a shop that carries the big 3 names and give them a spin. What fits your teacher won't necessarily fit you. If you're spending big money, you want it to be personal.
Teachers tend to recommend the same sax they use. Yamahas are great but you can choose what appeals to you and fits your budget if that’s not what you want.
@@michaelthomas4805 Indeed. My comment was a bit cheekier though, and a reference to the movie "Whiplash", where this tune appears and where the topic of rushing or dragging seems to be quite a common matter.

I love your saxophone tone! 🥰
Does this mouthpiece count as a darker one?
It’s bright and dark for me which is why I love it.
@@bettertrax5640 😄👍🏻 Nice!
If I buy a track can I post myself playing on it
The answer is yes. All tracks are licensed for full use.

💥
did you play the piano and drums or did you program? or is someone else playing?
All Jazz Tracks are played and mixed by me.
@@kpoudavoff then let me tell you, you're doing a KILLER job my guy. These tracks are smooth as hell.
@@fargglad1 I’m glad you are digging them! Thank you!
You didn´t seem to be rushing or dragging :D
Not as easy to do as you would think. Relax and let it come to you rather than running after the ideas.
