nice tip! I had the idea with the screwdriver handle and a hammer, but I was whacking the screwdriver from the back while holding the grill in my hand - your method here is infinitely better!! thanks a bunch!
If you want to keep your 58 grill looking perfect, you could hold the grill and go down on the screwdriver without risking scratch marks to it, or you could buy a new one. They're pretty cheap.
Yes they are pretty cheap I agree, if it was for hire company microphones then tap the dents out coz the skanks that use them have no respect for other people's property but if it's for yourself then buy a new one and don't be a clumsy idiot and drop it
If you use a mallet like he has or even a piece of 2X4 or maybe a wooden handle side of a hammer to use to tap with it shouldn't scratch the metal part and you should be good. 👌 good luck.
Hello, I have two SM58 (wired), No matter how I tried to remove the grill from one of them, It just would not budge. With the other one, The grill comes off, but the base refuses to unscrew. Can you tell me how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance.

@Jericho Kayson Meh lately I have been using flixportal. Just google after it :P -rey
I use the dull end of a Brocken drum stick... Remove the pop filter then gently use the drum stick to push put the dents...
