Tim is as liberal as it gets. He was against the Iraq war.
Was Bill Maher?
Tim was in the Iraq War.

The awful camera angles… the suggestive atmosphere of raging alcoholism.. I’m in awe 👏😂
the Lamp is the moderator of their debate
Lmao
An atmosphere of intellectual and functional drinking.
Poured out 450 MLS in 20 mins.
😂
its the insistence on directing Fred to adopt Tim's opinion is what does it for me lol.

Tim's relentless talking over & cutting off of Fred this whole show is spot on... Its infuriating
isn't that a bad thing?
@@TNJX It's hilarious.
He’s making fun of Bill Maher’s interviews
Are you a bot? This seems 100% like a bot comment..
@henrynooney8881 he’s doing rogan mixed with Maher mixed with Ted Bundy
Love that Fred doesn't crack a smile
Why would he? Our country is at steak.
Tim almost cracked when he said “I was against the Iraq war.”
@@eyespy3001 Fill me in, it's been a while. Is Tim doing semi-satire? Never know when he's being 100% serious but it seems like never
@@themanbrodude I’m in the same boat as you. Knowing this guy’s humor, though, I think it would be a safe bet to say this is 100% satire.
@@eyespy3001 Yea pretty sure he's doing a Bill Maher satire and how he does his after hour podcast or whatever you would call that show. Where Bill is terrible at it will have people on and will try and preach about something a lot of times acting like he knows more about the project than the person who created it and getting angry at his guests when they try and counter his points.
Tim can do an impression without changing his voice, it's incredible.
Yeah he’s doing Ahhhnold here

I appreciate Tim's commitment to a bit that only his audience will get is very admirable lol
Yes it takes artistic courage to keep in character for a bit that most Americans won't understand
Exactly.
Yeah, that’s what got to be annoying about him. It’s fan service. It’s for his audience to feel smart. I never want to be part of a club…
@@begshallots bad news: now you’re in the club of people who think they’re too cool or smart to be in a club
@@portlandgoose4727 it’s not at all the point. It’s that I don’t find this self-congratulatory attitude funny. He’s been doing this kind of humor for a while. It’s wink-humor. No one is really laughing. Everyone is saying to themselves, “isn’t it funny and aren’t we clever because we get the joke?”
Tim is almost a performance artist in the way he embodies those he’s parodying. I love the guy. Bill maher on the other hand…
"almost"?
@@redvelvetunderground hard agree, im not sure how you can call that a performance or artistic at all.
Totally spot on he is satirical in how Maher always thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room. “I’m the most liberal person here”
Amen to that. Maher is a hack. I'll bet he hasn't written a joke for real time anyway in years.
So grateful to Fred for finally taking aim at high and mighty Portland all those years ago or just yesterday in TV time.
The whole concept of time is yesterday in TV. 🤪
LOL. Taking aim? High and mighty? About... Portland? What a strange view to have. This is a parody of Bill Maher, dude. The world must be so scary to you. How weak.
@java4653 so many questions Java. Do you think that time, like time itself, is just yesterday, in TV terms?
@@java4653 I’m not familiar with Bill Maher, I don’t have HBO. And the world is scary! You can’t say anything these days without the woke mob coming for you.

perfect satire of bill maher's podcast
Man Tim is so good I almost thought it was real lmao jesus christ
Sad to admit I had to dive into this comment section just to be sure
i was getting upset 😭
Best satire of Bill Maher's podcast. Down to the interviewer drunkenly talking at the guest 😂👏
I love that Tim keeps insisting that its "pot shots at the woke mindset" and Fred keep insisting that its not that deep
Not pot shots. Shots
Would have been even better if he woulda said the “woke mind virus”
This Tim Maher guy is great
Bill Maher would unironically blank on the name of Portlandia, Fred's most noteworthy achievement, if he ever interviewed him, so that was a nice touch.
And the co-star who he certainly must know.
"So, Harrison, you were in that movie, with the hat and the whip, which I'm blanking on right now."
"Indiana Jones?"
I love the low key mockery of Bill Maher is great
not that low key
@@HenryMiller17agreed 😂
I find Maher impossible to watch.
Pot shots.
Has the real Bill gotten this faux bad? I haven't watched in years as don't respect the guy at all.

Tim just literally not listening to Fred and pushing his narrative whether Fred agrees or not
LMFAO Im regrettably not a regular watcher but he's doing an extended Maher thing here, no? This is so good
Yep, definitely 😂 the show intro is a direct parody of Maher's lousy podcast
No. Sadly, Heidecker went down the alt-right, IDW rabbit hole shortly after the election of Trump. This is the real Tim expressing the feelings and opinions of the real Tim.

Nothing will ever top when he had Richard Dreyfuss on there. Most absurd thing ever and funnier than any parody.

Just took my crab salts, ready to watch the full episode!
'C'moon man!'. Tim is one of the greatest actors of our time, which of course is only a few minutes in TV time.
Maybe Tim would disagree, but I like that this took aim at Bill Maher. Really good shots at Bill Maher, or possibly not at Bill Maher at all. We would need Tim's word on that, but I don't know how we would get it.
Trust me Peter, it is a jab at Maher, you can bet your rapping career on it.
Tim is telling it raw, uncut, uncensored, and people can’t handle it

Forgetting the name of their guests' most popular show followed by saying how much he loved the show, thats Bill Maher alright
how do you get fred armisen to play the straight man? jesus. amazing.
The real thing that did it for me was when they started cutting to the shitty overhead camera angles. This is brilliant work from the OHL team.
I know it’s a parody but I’d love to see Tim do long podcast type interviews. I think Tim was a guest on Maron’s one time.
"Parody". 😂 Cope. Tim's finally awoken to the woke insanity on the left. Blue haired globalists are in full meltdown !
He really nailed the “nah because look”
This is really, really clever. Such a subtle yet savage burn of Bill Maher and Club Random that Bill might never even notice. This is so Tim, and his subtle and nuanced trolling makes Steven Colbert's former character look ham fisted and painfully obvious by comparison.
It's not that he won't notice it's that he wouldn't be able to understand
Stephen Colbert’s character was ham fisted and incredibly obvious though
It's not subtle at all you mong
@@ColAlbSmiStephen Colbert is the archetype of liberal coastal elites that conservatives/conservative band wagon jumping morons such as Maher, like to build their liberal coastal elite strawmen off of.
I mean, Maher has made a career as a snarky coastal elite liberal himself, which reminds us that hypocrisy isn't a conservative bug, it's a feature.
@@ColAlbSmiI enjoyed the ham-fisted portrayal but comedy these days needs a lighter touch like Tim's
Genuinely thought this was club random for a second when I saw the thumbnail
It’s crazy how I know Tim Heidecker, I know his schtick(s), and I watch something with him, if even for just a second, I fuckin fall for it!! Lol
I’ll admit I watch most of the Bill Maher podcasts. This is a brilliant copy. Tim should’ve just acted a little more high and confused
definitely the biggest threat since the civil war
In fact maybe the biggest threat since that comet that killed the dinosaurs, this is an extinction level wokeness going on, none of us will survive it, and frankly, maybe most of us don't deserve to. I do of course, because I get it, but most of these other freaks don't.
This reminds me, I need to take my meds
It's got to be the biggest threat since sliced bread. Or something. 🤪
@@adoredpariah Wokies do indeed hate people.
I would want a mass extinction event if I believed it too.

Very brave of Fred to finally admit he was taking aim at the ultra libral 'keep portlandia weird' crowd of Prortland under the disguise of 'humor jokes'.
Hahahaha doing a parody on Club Random is amazing. Tim nails Maher too perfectly.
it’s like doing an interview with that uncle who says “I don’t want to be racist, but..” like every time you see him
Put a Bird On It! is one of my favorite sketches ever.
This is perfect Bill Maher. Really well done as always Tim.
Hilarious shot at Club Random. Nearly interrupted the guest as much as Bill does!
Kudos for taking shots at awful Club Randumb
Love this Tim Maher guy
Portlandia took the piss out of crazily woke people yes, but in an affectionate way. Just watch the title sequence - Carrie and Fred loved all that mad stuff.
Come on! They depicted DEPLORABLE behavior on that show. The grocery clerk and the godamn manager, "what seems to be the problem". "no I'll tell her" They were making fun of assholes constantly. They are both genius's.
haha ripping on bill mahr! nice work tim
I'm a Brit and find Bill Maher as hard to watch as this. 🇬🇧👍
I'd love to see more of these style of interviews
This is real late night shit - I like this raw shit like this. Love it Tim! Don’t let anyone talk over you.
This is a comedic peak for oo live. This makes me giggle more than the rogan parody
Amazing, totally nailed it 😂
HAHAHA IM SO GLAD THEY DID THIS AND WITH FRED ITS SUCH A PERFECT PARODY
The lamp camera angle was the cherry on top
I like the poster behind Tim.. “aren’t all numbers the same?” 😂
I was against the Iraq War
Easy there, Trotsky!
The fact that the thumbnail had me convinced it was Bill for about 3 seconds…perfect
I like Tim, but Fred is a loveable person. Their two personalities could not be more starkly different though 😂
The fact that they can do this with a straight face makes me laugh even harder... just amazing.
-Dude you were taking aim at punk rockers and feminists and all that stuff... Who did you do it with?
-Carrie Brownstein...
💀😂
What a funny idea that “Tim” thinks the whole point of Portlandia was to take shots at the woke culture of Portland. He just fundamentally misses it and is so confident.

Tim's best impression yet.
Laughed so hard I tore my neovagina and got shit all over my couch.
This is brilliant. He has Bill Maher down perfectly.
The smugness of pretending he knows better than the very people who made the show, and if you contradict him you're a bad person and a blue haired wokescold, even if it's your goddamned show he's talking about.
And he does it orders of magnitude better without even changing his voice, than most stereotypical impersonators would.
Brought here by Emma Vigland saying "I can't watch Club Random anymore without thinking of Time Heidecker's parody", and I'm like "whu?".

Tim is so brilliant at deadpan delivery.
Portlandia was amazing! Feminists Books store was classic

Tim will not be deterred in telling Fred what his show is about! BRAVO! 👏
I love bill but this is hilarious. Fred Armisen and Tim Heidecker are two of my favorite comedians.
Everything about this is so great. The bricks, the booze. The way everything is set up is perfect. All that's missing is a cigar.

Lol, I was so annoyed until I saw the comments saying that this was parodying Bill Maher and it all started making sense
For someone who says they are pro gun control , he should be careful using phrases like “take aim” .
The Bill Maher impression is spot on, even down to his hand movements
The angles & the light bulb hahaha
I love how Tim is always in character.
Tim's Bill Maher is absolutely spot on.
The bill trolling/impression is brilliant
the B camera angles that they cut to are fucking hilarious.
I’ve been wondering when Tim’s next elaborate bit was going to be.
Tim made good, pointed commentary about how Portlandia confronted wokeness, but it would have been nice if he had let Fred actually respond. The interrupting was annoying.
Where did Decker stand on the Iraq war?
Wokeism was crafted by Carl marks in hell
Portlandia was appreciative and affectionate towards Portland-and hilarious...it wasn't trying to promote a political "message" either way
"that couldnt have been more than four years ago?" "uh yeah, maybe 5... "
You forgot to wave a joint around the whole time while forgetting to actually smoke it
Yeah what I loved about Portlandia was it’s anti woke stance it was very libertarian. At it’s core it was actually about libertarianism.
Mmm, like that old quote; "sometimes the things we consume end up consuming us". I totally read fight club. I didn't just watch the movie.
