- The things we do for the power of the P!! "Nookie" is a song by the American rap rock band Limp Nookie was released June 15, 1999! It was a banger! The energy of the song is unmatched! Fred Durst was one of the most visible front men the 90's into 2000!
Fred Durst's vocals are so raw and aggressive, perfectly complementing the heavy guitar riffs and pulsing drum beats. And that chorus - "I did it all for the nookie, c'mon, the nookie, c'mon!" - it's just so catchy!

Love this,brings me back to high school when it came out, I loved this music because I grew up listening to both rock/metal and hip hop/rap so Nu Metal combing the two and other genres was perfect for me

At the time there was no clear definition of the music style for groups like Limp Biskit and Linkin Park.. but now days that era and style are referred to as "Nu-Metal" .. Wes Borland had some pretty wicked chords going
The first show of their first headlining tour was near me in Birmingham, Alabama and I was there in like '97 I think. Now my 16 year old daughter rides around bumping this shit haha. She loves it while recognizing dude isn't a real rapper and it's cheesy but it definitely grooves and rocks hard and is still lots of fun after these decades. Roll Tide my gents.

Lot of people dont realize they are still selling out large arenas today, they made a new joint called Still Sucks and nu metal/rap metal has had a resurgance as of late.
