Yes, we will need a GM that reports to HD, not a peer. And probably an extra fee on tickets for the players. UNC had the highest home attendance in NCAA BBall last season so that could definitely be a good source of revenue to pass to the players. Assuming that is under the rules and allowable by the NCAA. But tickets are already very costly. To take the wife and 2 boys to a mid-major vs UNC game up in the nose bleeds, costs us over 400 USD. Sometimes I get lucky and find something cheaper. Last season, we played FSU in early Dec and I found 2 half court facing the bench in the upper level row K'ish seats for around 100 total, after all the extra fees. But when looking at one of the late Dec mid-major games after FSU, we could not find anything worth the money.
Agree. I think the ticket prices are already pretty stout. A buddy has two Kansas season tickets for a total investment after donations to the Roy Williams fund of about $1700. Good luck touching that for any seat in the Smith Center. I also think the cost of buying tickets second hand is a problem. If they somehow followed the lead of some musicians that have made it where tickets can’t be resold over face value, they could go up on the face value and keep the overall cost for most folks the same.

10% seems like an awful lot of moola. But I like the idea. But as always I worry these funds wont go where they are supposed to go. And just disappear. I would also like to make sure we continue to fund Olympic and non-revenue sports.
