Death Note is a psychological thriller and probably the most popular anime of that genre. With only 37 episodes, it’s a great starter anime and one you should definitely check out. It’s all about intelligence and outsmarting instead of the usual power and fighting. There’s another anime similar to this, which I personally find even better, called Monster. It’s twice as long as Death Note and much slower but overall has the better written story and characters in my opinion. I recommend you to check out the opening for that one too!
@@bruh-rb8yeyeah, too bad the second half sucks because Near gets shafted due to cutting a lot of content making people think Near was poorly written when his writing was actually great. He's my favorite character in the manga.
@@isgamer-8732 He is in fact poorly written, if you watch/read Bakuman (same authors as Death Note, tells about two guys doing manga), it's heavily hinted there that Death Note was basically forced to continue by publisher
Death Note has a long history of being loved by non-anime fans. It has a more realistic art style, doesn’t do any weird “anime shit” and has an exciting crime thriller plot, so it’s very approachable for people more used to Hollywood.
Death Note is from 2006 so the music is very very reminiscent of the early-mid 2000s, as well as the fashion and art style. Also IMO the 2nd opening fits perfectly with the chaotic and unhinged nature of the second half of the anime.
I love Death Note and it is in my top 3 anime ever since I watched it over a decade ago but still the best thing about it was discovering Maximum The Hormone. Their music in incredible
Maximum the Hormone makes absolutely mind-boggling openings and endings. One of my favorites is their ending song for the show Chainsaw man. There is a playlist of all the chainsaw man endings (there are 12, 1 per episode) and they are all so good. I recommend you react to that!
Definitely not a new one but it is a classic. Animation isn't as smooth as newer ones but the story is great and it was my gateway anime about 15 years go. definitely worth checking out. I personally prefer the original Japanese to the English dub, but however you prefer to watch it is fine.
Based on what I've seen from your reactions and the things that you kind of gravitate towards I know you would love this anime it's really dark and really smart
Very epic reaction.^^ And hope you get to One Piece openings too.^^ But when you do, two things: try to react to the 4Kids opening first(it's catchy, despite how much the 4Kids translation butchered the anime with censorship when compared to the much better Funimation translations). Also, some One Piece openings have major issues with copyright for the song. A few recommendations to get around this: One) Record the video audio and your reaction audio as separate files, so we can still have your reaction, even if some parts have no choice but to mute, just as a back-up. Two) For the openings that may be problematic(like the one before the time skip, forgot which it was), maybe changing the pitch of the audio a good bit would do. Saw it work for some people's reactions, so it may still work. Hopefully.
My two cents: react to the 4Kids opening _last._ I think this will help drive home how different it is & the shock/cringe/intrigue experienced by manga readers at that time, unsure how to feel about it.
I thought the opening 4Kids did wasn't bad. If anything, they did good for the opening... buuuuut that's the ONLY thing 4Kids did well with their translation. Ugh. Everything else they did? Horrible. Absolutely horrible.@@kneau
The apple is symbolic of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil in the Bible. The eating of it causes the Fall of man, which makes it a very interesting symbol for how certain characters in the show develop.
Those numbers you saw are not meant to be there. It's just from the person's recording software. It's displaying his current "FPS" (Frames Per Second).
if you actually liked those songs like us, maybe it would be a good video idea to react to the Full Version of the songs? all you reacted to here were what its called TV Size version which lengths are usually 1 min and 30 secs or so, and the full songs well they are from 3mins to 4mins depending obviously
death note is one of the greats, litereally dont think ive ever heard anyone say "nah dont watch death note" (unless you count the netflix live action movie, and i dont)
Definitely recommend Death Note for your next anime! I think you'll enjoy it! You asked about the apple; it represents sin. There's a lot of Christian symbolism used in the anime and it goes into the topic of morality quite often. Worth the watch. :)
Death note ends badly, it is speculated that originally the work was supposed to end with a certain person winning, at the first half or slightly after that but then the editor of the magazine (editors there have a lot of power, for example in Bleach they made a character come back after he died, and in Rurouni kenshin they made kenshin look younger to avoid criticism, etc) got the mangaka to change it and give it a "different" ending (it is clear in his work that he no longer cared) , but I think everyone realized that, even the studio (madhouse), the craziness of the op2/ed2 has to do with that, the first op/ed are all highly technical and all about the mind games and god complex, but then the second ones they stop caring because they know the story is nonesensical (probably had contact with the author at the time etc). I don't recall if the author of death note is known but I think at the time he/she used an alias.
Sometimes its best to watch the official openings and endings instead of someone's bad encode of them, hence the numbers flashing in the top of the screen, the choppy audio, bad transitions and low bitrate
Great reaction! Death Note is such a classic and also a really good choice for anime newbies. Can you react to the Chainsaw Man opening and endings pls? It has 1 opening and 12 endings (each episode has a different ending song)

Maximum the Hormone doing the OP and ED of the second half of Death Note really set the mood perfectly.
Really sells how everything is falling apart and the wold goes mad
nightmare also did both the opening and ending of s1
Death Note is a classic - the characters, plot and OST as a whole is incredible. _Highly_ recommend it being an anime you react to.
One Punch Man has a great soundtrack too - the opening for Season One is such a jam.
@@jessbellis9510pun intended?
One punch might be good...true..but deathnote is classic... everything is iconic..can't compare@@jessbellis9510
The silly piano start is one of the characters themes haha

i love how you analyze not only the music but also the visuals as well
Actualy, the video alternated between Openings and Endings, delivering then in order you watch then
Death Note is a 2006 anime.
So the music is also the music of 2006.
The vinland saga openings are so good, could you react to those eventually? (there are four openings for it btw)
And endings too
The order was opening 1, ending 1, opening 2 and then ending 2
Death Note it's a "Must see" series if you want start to see anime. A Classic.

That guy you saw at 3:15 is Ryuk. He's a shinigami aka a Japanese god of death
死神
You should watch Death Note bro, this prolly one of those anime that would hook you up how F' up it is 😂😂
I love Death Note and it is in my top 3 anime ever since I watched it over a decade ago but still the best thing about it was discovering Maximum The Hormone. Their music in incredible
Maximum the Hormone
the start of the video was part of the OST of the anime. Its call L´s Theme. Is a great song totally recomended
usually fast is intro and slow is ending but some anime does the oposite.
basically shinigami like apples
(the devil looking thing is a shinigami)
love how hes trying to analyze the frame counter this person somehow left in the video
This one is indeed very fun to watch :) Specially if you're new, it's a good first timer series and it's what we recommend for this.
Maximum the Hormone makes absolutely mind-boggling openings and endings. One of my favorites is their ending song for the show Chainsaw man. There is a playlist of all the chainsaw man endings (there are 12, 1 per episode) and they are all so good. I recommend you react to that!

Death Note has some of my fav openings, also looking forward to your next Attack on Titan reactions!! Episode 5 Specifically!!
3:14 Oh that's just Willem Dafoe, don't mind him. (I'm not even joking)
Based on what I've seen from your reactions and the things that you kind of gravitate towards I know you would love this anime it's really dark and really smart
good reaction, greetings from Argentina
Death Note is a great gateway anime. If you've never watched an anime, this is the one you gotta start with.
Very epic reaction.^^

Very true, but best save that for after he's seen the openings, I think. @@XCanG

SHO VIVO SHO VIVO LA VIDA DEL DUENDE🗣️❗❗❗
The apple is a biblical reference, the show is full of biblical reference.
Its a classic and its one of my favorite, very good psychological thriller
the first one is opening, the 2nd is ending. opening then ending
OOOOo Death Note is a good one
I love the OPs for Death Note! They’re so good. I suggest you listen to the Haikyuu! OPs at some point, every single one is a bop!
You definitely need to check out more Maximum the Hormone. All four of them are masters of their craft.
8:10 For the best part
Did you know shinigami love apples?
The apple is symbolic of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil in the Bible. The eating of it causes the Fall of man, which makes it a very interesting symbol for how certain characters in the show develop.
The Haikyuu openings are fantastic, you should check em out.
1 and 3 are like openings.
I really hope you check out this anime & if you like it then i think you will also like Solo Leveling
You should definitely react to all of the Gintama openings (if you do please make sure to watch version 4 of opening 17 :) )
Those numbers you saw are not meant to be there. It's just from the person's recording software. It's displaying his current "FPS" (Frames Per Second).
The openings basically reflect the MC's mental state
"Who are you?"
Dont worry he is just one of us

Finallyyyyyyyyyy. The human whose name is written in this note shall die. This anime is masterpiece that you must see
Do u know "God of death love Apples"
one of the best anime out there. Highly recommend
You should definitely react to Naruto Shippuden Openings 1-20. This is a very popular anime and reacting to the openings would be amazing
death note is one of the greats, litereally dont think ive ever heard anyone say "nah dont watch death note" (unless you count the netflix live action movie, and i dont)
It says a lot about Death Note that Ryuk, the abominable flighted devil is the _least_ terrifying character of the entire main cast
Love the music in Death Note, I liked the first half of the anime too, but it got kinda boring for me after a certain event happened lol
Yeah I'm still mad that the anime screwed up the second half
Definitely recommend Death Note for your next anime! I think you'll enjoy it!
You asked about the apple; it represents sin. There's a lot of Christian symbolism used in the anime and it goes into the topic of morality quite often. Worth the watch. :)
I love your reacts!
Ganhou mais um inscrito brasileiro ainda por cima. ❤
Please react to all Kamen Rider Openings if you are up for it. It's not anime, but it is pretty much has the same kind of hype and coolness
Video went OP1, ED1, OP2, ED2.
Please react to the full version of Zetsubou Billy (the second ending), I think you would enjoy it very much.
The overlord openings are very good I recommend reacting to them there are 3 openings
Im always amazed by how some people finding the most weirdest and shittiest videos to react to lol
The best anime of all time
Great reaction haha 😁🤘

Written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. "There is speculation that Tsugumi Ohba is a pen name of manga artist Hiroshi Gamo."
🤷🏻♀️
Sometimes its best to watch the official openings and endings instead of someone's bad encode of them, hence the numbers flashing in the top of the screen, the choppy audio, bad transitions and low bitrate
The numbers in the corner is not a part of the anime. It is just the dudes recirding program showing his frame rate
react to all persona openings they are really good
W
Just letting yk the main character isn’t a good person but he’s very likeable
classic also light did nothing wrong all those mass murders he did were just
Sword Art Online next please!! you just can't skip SAO songs when talking about anime songs
YAASSSS I'M EARLY. Please react to some NCT music♡

Anão mano 😂😂
You need to listen to more MAXIMUM THE HORMONE!
Шутить про это слишком низко
Now that he's done Death Note the only logical reaction to follow is the OPs for Code Geass right?
I stopped watching when L died😭😭
same I just couldn't bring myself to finish
I love deathnote but I hate the second opening- what's up people. It's heart attack inducing!!!!
I really hated it too at first.
But it’s actually very symbolic and the more I listen to it the more I like it.
Great reaction! Death Note is such a classic and also a really good choice for anime newbies.
