I know this is long but there are some great takeaways in here for both male and female singers! If you feel it's too long I'd be happy to edit it into 2 videos. I don't want to remove any content as it's all very useful! Let me know how you enjoyed it and if the length is good! Thanks and enjoy! Please leave a Comment and Subscribe if you'd like more videos like this as well as vocal technique videos, performance tools and tips and the inner game of singing (confidence, mindset) videos!
Dear Mike, Thank you so much for this awesome video! You are a great teacher! There's no need to split videos in 2 - the length doesn't bother me at all. I love the way you explain all the little details that nobody else mentioned/noticed. I realized that you specialize in teaching intermediate to advanced students, and maybe that's why. Even non-singers can benefit by learning to appreciate truly great singing. I am looking forward to more of your analytical reactions to Dimash songs!
That was a fun video to watch. Dears love great vocal coaches who actually know what he's saying. And a plus if the vocal coach loves and appreciates Dimash's gift! I personally think your enthusiasm about Dimash shows that you appreciate his skills. I will watch any Dimash video if you choose to watch and analyze them! ♡♡♡
But maybe next time record yourself watching the video first before going into details and analyzing it. 😂🤣 We also love just watching vocal coaches appreciate the performance as a whole. ♡
OMG wowwww so impressive!! We all know Dimash is impressive, I'm talking about YOUR BREAKDOWN!!!! I can't believe anyone can ever make a 30mins technical analysis of Ogni Pietra! His other songs maybe, but Ogni Pietra?? And I enjoy it very much! 30mins has gone by and I'm not even bored AT ALL!! Please do not shorten anything! Even if you make a one hour technical analysis of Dimash, I'll watch until the end!! I learn so much from you! Thank you!! Please do more of Dimash! I really love VERY DETAILED technical analysis of his technique because I DO believe, we all can learn singing from him! He's a great example of what a great singer should be! I'll be waiting for more Dimash! You have just gone to the top of my favourite vocal coach list!! 😍😍😍😍
I agree - the more detailed the better, as far as I'm concerned! There's so much we can learn from Dimash's rule-breaking mix of styles and genres that is exciting, inspirational and educational for those of *all* levels of ability :) The man himself is a great advocate of life-long learning, who sees himself as the perpetual student, but hopes to one day (one day?!) have the skills and knowledge he feels he needs, to be able to teach others... For those who may not know, Dimash has been in regular vocal training since the age of 5, and still is to this day, aged almost 26 - he also holds undergraduate Degrees in both Classical and Contemporary Music, is about to complete his Master's in Composing, and then fully intends to pursue his Doctorate - oh, and he's quite a good singer, too...!😉😂
Thank you so much for such a kind comment! I really appreciate you taking the time and sharing your very nice thoughts and words. (-: I will do more for sure!
@@Tricia_K Wow! Pretty amazing!! Thank you for that insight. (-: It's so nice to know that Dimash is so smart about his singing and performance and that he really takes it that seriously. That is really paying off! (-: One day he'll also be a great teacher!
Yes he was to start a one semester internship at some music institute in LA as a requirement of his masters program. There's an interview on YT with one of his supervisors talking about it.
As much as I love to watch pure reaction videos where people do show their amazement at his abilities, I sincerely appreciate professionals like you who can thoroughly analyze and explain what he's actually doing while at the same time being impressed. Thank you for taking the time to do this, and no, please don't cut it up. :-)
Thank you so much for your feedback!! I love talking about what he does from a technical point of view as well so I can help other singers through Dimash! Dimash is a great teacher. (-:
Wow whenever a pro coach like u sir analysis Dimashs technics as much as Im able to understand their explanations no matter how many times I hear them it still surprises me & almost feels unbelievable. what amazes me is not how he can sound like different kind of voices but what he can do with every voices he sings. This vid was nowhere near long. Enjoyed & appreciated ur passion to uncode Dimashs rare talent & technic mastery. Cant thank u enough for ur time & energy. Stay safe & healthy.
I'm really happy to hear your profound analysis about this phenomenal guy. Dimash is a vocal monster. He is a walking vocal ensiklopediya. All the world is impressed by him but all vocal coaches are really speechless. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. It was a pleasure, sir. Dimash will continue to shock you with every single performance.
Thank you so much for doing this and frankly it's one of the best analysis on this song I've seen. Very helpful! Dimash is indeed classically trained since a very young age, and apart from his evident gifted instrument, he has trained very hard to become the giant vocalist he is. I would really love to listen your analysis on one other song of his (a cover this time), where he belts a mixed Bb5 for several seconds and after that he is doing some crazy pentatonic run on the same breath. The song is called "Sinful Passion" from the Sochi event. He has also performed a mixed C6 on another song, but it's very brief. In "Sinful Passion", the Bb5 is sustained for a crazy amount of time.
@@MikeGoodrich I have just found 'Sinful Passion' myself & it is incredible. He holds a note/notes for 23 seconds. I would love to hear your comments on it too. ruclips.net/video/W9FlDMCo8LU/видео.html
Very detailed analysis. Enjoy it immensely. Pay no attention to those who don't like what you're doing. They are free to skip your reaction. More people enjoy what you're doing. I look forward to your next Dimash reaction, mate.
With all due respect, if a lot of his subscribers agree with me and do as you say, to skip him, he will lose a lot of subscribers ...I for one will unsubscribe ...
@@gitanacarla4125 With all due respect to you, there are different kinds of reactors. I personally don't care for those people who play the performance through and just say "wow" over and over and over again. So, we all choose the reactors whose style we like. This style of reaction is more of a breakdown of his techniques, which I and a lot of others enjoy.
Certainly one of the best technical analysis I`ve ever heard. That was pretty interesting and entertaining to watch. Dimash doesn`t seem to be from this earth. Peace!
Don't understand why this has so many dislikes.....but a great technical breakdown and analysis so we are better able to appreciate the song. This version isn't even the best rendition. No one yet on YT has done such a detailed examination, thank you so enjoyable.
Thank you for reacting to real talent. I am tired of American music industry rewarding mediocre music and feed it to the world. Look, they are intentionally ignoring this God given talent . Why ? Politics . It’s all politics. I am sick and tired of them all. As an American I am so so glad that I found Dimash . Please react to more Dimash!
Mike, this is the first video of yours I've seen. I found it because I search for Dimash reactions every day, and you can certainly see why. Not only was your wonderfully detailed technical analysis not too long, I would enjoy it being even longer! My favorite thing in your analysis was how long you spent, starting at 13:15, on that one F#4 note. I've always felt weird that, as impressive as every note in this piece is, it's that one note that stops me in my tracks every time. The sound of if it is so unusual. I've never understood why just that one note makes my hair stand on end. Your technical breakdown is the first analysis to ever focus on just that one note. As you explained it, "a heady mix from the top down" that a classical soprano would actually be taught to never do, I begin to understand why it sounds so unusual to me. I've probably never heard it before, because nobody would have done it this way! Thank you, more please!
Thank you so much for your detailed comment! That is so cool that we both were amazed at that sound! I had to keep listening to it as there is so much to learn from what he does! (-:
Awesome reaction ♥️♥️♥️♥️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️👌👌👌Loved it ! Dimash is the living legend of this Generation 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻More Dimash please .... ps just subscribed 💓💓💓💓💓
I don't mid the long video. I love the way you explain the technicalities. Thank you. And yup, Dimash is one of a kind! And yes, he worked really hard to get where he is. He is still actually going through vocal training and has been since 5 years old. But Dimash is always humble. He asked his fans not to reflect on his sacrifices and hardship but to enjoy the result of it.
Thank you so much! I love talking about the technique in a way that can help other singers. I'm happy you liked that. Yes, he seems very humble and he is amazing!!
As a Dimash fan, even I have said "Now you're just showing off!" (but said with so much admiration. I mean, If I could do that, I certainly would). I do appreciate your energy in this instructional reaction. Don't cut it down... many of us already know the song inside and out, but still get a lot out of informed analysis. If you want to hear more stratospheric heights of Dimash's voice, listen to the end of "Across Endless Dimensions" or the pure angelic notes in the middle of "We Are One"
Dear Mike, I have been going through the comments and I haven't seen one telling you so here goes. When Dimash performed Sinful Passion a composer was there and after he heard Dimash he knew he wanted to work with him. His plan was to compose several songs just for Dimash and his abilities and this is the first song that he composed. The composer is Maestro Igor Krutoy and he has composed more and reworked other songs just for Dimash since this song.
Their first meet was in Italy. Krutoy helds New wave each year and because of Krutoy he performed Sinful Passion. I mean, it wasn't their first meeting. The he composed several songs as we see.
Thanks for a thorough breakdown! Anyone who wants some clown making funny faces have plenty of reactionvideos easy to gulp down as fast food servings. This is for us who enjoy a nutricious meal with many flavours and textures, slow dining and appreciate every mouthful. There is a backstage video of Dimash and soprano Aida Garifullina rehearsing their duet at the Igor Krutoy concert in Moscow Nov 2019 when Aida jokes with Dimash and says, "I have to go now, you can sing my part too Dimash". Hope you will diveinto more Dimash performances. Greetings from a Swedish Dear!
I love music since I was young, now I am 64, and there is only one Dimash can do all kind of music in just himself in one go, I am always proud of myself can sing almost any song, but since I found Dimash, realize he is the best singer for me, I watch him every day, and his song I can not sing at all as beautiful as him, he is truly gem.
Hello, Mike!
I loved your reaction. Translator in hand, it took me 2 hours to understand 80%. Before I met dimash, I had no idea how difficult it is to sing, nor did I know about musical figures and vocal tools. Thanks to reactors like you, I light up (I learn) and therefore I enjoy Dimash even more. Thank you greetings from Chile.
absolutely Coach no, don't cut it down. we know the song anyone wants to listen to its available MP3 MP4 all kind, what we want someone to Deconstructed down and analyzed so we could understand it more. it is learning video. So thank you for your precision analysis
Hi Mike, I'm Joe. I really enjoyed your professional & insightful analysis! I liked & subbed. I'm primarily a guitarist, I only sing here & there, but I'm fascinated with singers. Dimash is my favorite, that's an understatement!! A lot of Dimash fans become obsessed, & I'm no exception! I also enjoy a longer, detailed analysis, so my vote is don't cut into parts unless it's super long, then maybe 2 videos. IMO this video is nowhere near long enough to separate.
Please find this man as an inspiration! Other singer's have said that they feel privileged to witness, hear, learn & be motivated because of Dimashs talents. He's been training 20+ years already, classically. Become a 'Dear', it's a privilege to be one of them, I'm certainly one!! Thank you for your informative analysis, from a New Zealand fan.
Thank you for this analysis! It was wonderful. Don't worry about the length... I've sat through reaction videos of Dimash's full length concerts before and didn't learn a thing. If it's super long, I can always watch in my own intervals... no need for you to split them up. Don't be sad 😉😂 when it comes to singing, there's "the world " and then there's Dimash. He's in a class all his own. ❤ I'd love to see you analyze Sinful Passion. There's so much in that one. You'll love it.
Thank you for you analysis of this. No matter how many times I hear him he always amazes me. "OK show off," then shortly later "OK, now you're just showing off," 🤣🤣🤣 Those made me laugh. One of the most common statements about this video goes something like this, Dimash's duet partner: "I am sorry, but I can't make it to the show." Dimash: "Not a problem. I got this." He was born with the gift, but started training it when he was about five years old. He continues to seek out the advice of his voice teacher to this day. He says as long as he sings, he must continue to learn. Stay safe! Blessings to you!
great reaction! i would really like to hear your profound analysis of sinful passion, your love and diva dance (bastau version). and i would really like to enjoy your joy listening to this great music stuff by dimash! ☺️
Thank you so much for taking the time to analyze this. I would have loved to see your initial reaction, though. I love it when people's heads explode hahaha. I can't believe you've got 95 dislikes. WTH is wrong with people? Go watch another video, for crying out loud. Anyway Mike, just wanted to say that longer than usual vocal chords and 20 years of intense training has brought him to where he is now. He's received offers from various labels but refuses to accept any that try to dictate what kind of music he should sing. So much time is spent on getting the musical arrangement and the dancers (at his concerts) just right, that I wouldn't blame him if record labels wanted to turn him into one of those mass-produced singers. Nope, not naming names. The wonderful thing for me is that through all this sudden fame and fans around the world, he remains the same grounded individual who cares about people and his country. And he really is a product of his upbringing. I've never come across a star who is so humble. You should see him when he interacts with his fans. I'm sure he gives the security guards nightmares. You can see the joy on his face as he literally absorbs the love from the audience and gives it back to them in spades through his performance and on rare occasions, actually touching them. That's why you'll see people running up with flowers for him at the end of his solo performances. Stay safe and healthy, from South Africa
Thanks much Mike! great reaction and analysis. If you have time please react to more Dimash like "Your Love" , "Sinful Passion" or the beautiful "Unforgettable Day" - Gakku performance where Dimash let's loose in the middle of the song with a D8 then continues as if it were nothing
(-: I hope this is correct and thank you!!
Terrific tutorial. Really interesting and makes me love and admire Dimash so much more. He is fabulous. I got to see him in New York last Dec. He is a total gem. Look forward to hearing more reactions from our phenomenal Dimash 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
at first I was angry that you often stop the video, then I realized that this is justified! thank you! signed up! Dimash is the best and will surprise you more than once! waiting for new reactions!)
Thank you so much!❤ Wow, and that was more than 30 minutes? Honestly, the time flew by - so please, don't cut these up... this was a really detailed and fascinating analysis, and I'd love to hear more of the same, please - subscribed!🤗
Mike, I have heard so many say it is a recording because they are watching how relaxed his throat is. That is PURE classical training. The air needs to flow not be forced. You will never see Dimash strain, it's a walk in the park.
Mike I found your analysis to be really amazing. Dimash can sing a E6 fairly easily because he can go up into his whistle register into his 7th & 8th octaves. Now not only is his range (D8) incredible but his ability to sing in vertually any vocal style in 12 different languages. We're talking Ukrainian Folk/Chinese Opera/ Rap/Jazz, a Professional Rock Singer/Voice Coach said he could be the best Rock Singer in the world if he wants to be. You've only scratched the surface of what this guy can do. I'd love you to react to the song "Know" performed at the VT Ice Palace in Moscow. I can assure you like all his performances you will be shocked at what he can do both musically and vocally. Keep safe. 😊🏴👍
Please try and do either a reaction or analysis (if you've got the time) to "Know". You'll never in your lifetime come across anyone like Dimash, he's in a class of his own. 😊🏴👍
Just finished watching the video. You were a wonderful reactor, and I no longer feel the need for two parts to the video. Ha ha. I wanna thank you for doing Dimash, I know I asked you to do him yesterday, and you took very little time to get to doing him. It wasn't the song I asked you to do, but I'm sure you'll get to that soon. I like how you didn't take too long to realize what he can do: like when you said "F#5,... as you'll see later that note is nothing for him!" . You also seem to understand that He can do several different things with his voice and sound like several different people. As you dive into your Dimash journey, you will realize he will never stop surprising you. Enjoy!
What a Great Great song sung by a Great Great artist Dimash ... but also a Great Great Informative reaction by YOU!! I truly truly loved the great information you provided ... even 'tho I am not a singer at all!! I wish more guys that do reaction music videos would take it as seriously as you do. Information galore, Education galore, Entertainment galore, and PASSION galore. It is very easy to see your passion & love for music!!! BRAVO! BRAVO! my friend!!!
I'm not a singer---i lost my voice to annual bouts of broncho-pneumonia, years ago. But I am a learner, and since I encountered Dimash I've discovered the world of singers, and the fascinating stuff that makes up a beautiful vocal sound. For Dimash, who was born with perfect pitch, it has always been his great passion, even in infancy. You probably know that he started in Music Academy for gifted youngsters when he was 5. For him, it was initially a matter of putting names to things he already understood. Since those early days he has trained for 2-5 hrs. every day. So, what we hear is a combination of his natural ability, and the fine honing, honing, honing, of which he never seems to tire. In fact, I believe he does the concerts and tours to finance his freedom to sing, the rest of the time. However, he does love the love of his adoring fans. His secondary pleasure is knowing that he gives us such great pleasure.
Nice reaction and analysis of the world of Dimash kudaibergen, continue more songs please! Thanks from Portugal Ps I subscriber because I like your experience about music talent...
Watched this reaction multiple times now and do not get tired of it!.....His singing is not just about going high he does its with so much musicality - just so beautiful!... Cheers
Hi! Sorry for the long comment but here I go: Firstly: please please don’t cut the videos! I loved the in-depth breakdown of his songs. I was very, very impressed because you talked about/explained things that many vocal coaches/teachers may miss or not talk about. You were able to give men and women singing tips, with just one song! I love Dimash and I hope you’ll react to more of his songs. Secondly: A quick note (maybe you caught it) but the very last note in Olympico was higher then the first time he sang that part. Anyways, a short background: Dimash is from Qazaqstan, and has been singing since he was 5 years old (he was enrolled into music school). He grew up in classical/opera styles. He has said he has elongated vocal chords and his range is roughly somewhere in the second octave to a D8 (as far as we know). That D8 was 5 seconds with vibrato and he sung it live in a concert. Thirdly: Please react to Dimash and Li Yugang singing “Drunken Concubine” + “Diva Dance”. Li is a male Chinese opera singer who specializes in “nan dan” which is a man singing women’s roles. Dimash does a bit of *everything* here and Li is super amazing! It’s like a mix of two styles. Did I mention they sing “Diva Dance”? I think there are so many, many good things to break down in these two songs and I’d love to hear what you have to say about Li (and the entire performance, of course, because they have different styles, which is very cool). It’s one of my absolute favorite performances. Please put this in your list of reacts!! Performance w/English subs: ruclips.net/video/5-TaMer-cmg/видео.html

Finally! Someone who actually not only comments and analyses, but also EXPLAINS the techniques and who and why you should utilize them. Don't apologize for making the video long when you do a proper analysis. This makes you stand out a lot from all other coaches reacting.
Thank you for the detailed analysis . Was interesting , fun and well explained . Please next one to be " Sinful Passion " . Stay safe and love from Bulgaria ♥️🇧🇬♥️
Excellent reaction. Very informative. I really enjoy it. This singer is incredible. The range is freakish (from C2 to D8) but the tone and the emotion go with it. Is not just athletic is artistic. He is got loads of musics and followers in YT and is easy to understand why. For different takes on his voice you should react to "Unforgettable Day" (Gakku concert where he manages a D8 with vibrato) and "Your Love" (he sings in English and whispers, belts, whistles, you name it) this one is pop style.
he has a degree in classical opera, bell canto and a degree in contemporary and jazz music and has just last month passed his masters in composition with 100% and been invited to do a doctorate on top of sell out concerts, much travelling, studio work , interviews and tv appearances, very dilligent young man!he was put into music school at the age of 5 because it was noticed he had perfect pitch and dreamed all his life of being a famous singer, bless him!

Stay safe & healthy.

true!! the complete explanation theory and technical from him
Thank you so much!
@@enricoperrottelli Thank you!
Yes, Dimash is so amazing! Thank you for you great comment!!
Really amazing and thank you so much for your kind words!
I get so happy when one discovers the best singer in the world. He is a Vocal MONSTER.... it's insane❤️
Thank you so much! Yes he is something special!!
Thank you for your kind words and insights! And recommendation! I will listen to Sinful Passion and I can't wait to hear that B Flat!!
@@MikeGoodrich I have just found 'Sinful Passion' myself & it is incredible. He holds a note/notes for 23 seconds. I would love to hear your comments on it too.

Very detailed analysis. Enjoy it immensely. Pay no attention to those who don't like what you're doing. They are free to skip your reaction. More people enjoy what you're doing.
I look forward to your next Dimash reaction, mate.
That's very kind and thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. (-:

Peace!

Dear Mike, thank you for this masterclass! Much appreciated.
Dimash is the best singer in the world today - imo. Greetings from Holland
Completely agree, the same is in Australia
Thank you for this in-depth analysis of Dimash's vocal performance!
Thank you so much for such an analysis !! We are waiting for you again, with impatience !! 👌👍💯💞💓

He just wants to split it into two parts. He's not gonna cut away or skip anything.
Thank you so much for that info!! And for watching. (-: I really appreciate this!
A great analogy - thanks!🤗
Watched every minute of your reaction!! Thanks!!!
Many thanks indeed for a great reaction and welcome to Dimash world, the musical genius himself. Enjoy the journey 😀 PS Looking forward to more....
Thank you Janice! Yes, he is wonderful!

Before I met dimash, I had no idea how difficult it is to sing, nor did I know about musical figures and vocal tools.
Thanks to reactors like you, I light up (I learn) and therefore I enjoy Dimash even more.

absolutely Coach no, don't cut it down. we know the song anyone wants to listen to its available MP3 MP4 all kind, what we want someone to Deconstructed down and analyzed so we could understand it more. it is learning video. So thank you for your precision analysis
You're very welcome and thank you so much!!
I get so happy when one discovers the best singer in the world. He is a Vocal MONSTER.... it's insane❤️

Great great reaction Mike - really informative thank you. And Dimash - wow , it's like he has no limits ! Amazing !!
Hello Mike! Thank you for reaction! PLEASE more DIMASH!
DIMASH is the BEST!
Greetings from Russia Tatyana Moscow 👋👋👋
Thank you, Mary! I really appreciate this! And that joke is hilarious!!
great reaction!
i would really like to hear your profound analysis of
sinful passion,
your love and
diva dance (bastau version).
and i would really like to enjoy your joy listening to this great music stuff by dimash!
Thank you! Very interesting. Love your enthusiasm.
Thank you for the reaction and such a detailed explanation👍🙂 It was interesting! Please, do more Dimash reactions😉

Nice reaction to Dimash singing Ogni Pietra (Every Stone) aka Olimpico. Great performance by Dimash. Greetings from Amsterdam.
Thanks you 👍
Mike, I have heard so many say it is a recording because they are watching how relaxed his throat is.
Keep safe. 😊🏴👍
Thanks, Phil! I really appreciate your recommendation! I'll listen to Know today...The more I learn about Dimash the more amazed I am!! (-:
Please try and do either a reaction or analysis (if you've got the time) to "Know". You'll never in your lifetime come across anyone like Dimash, he's in a class of his own. 😊🏴👍
@@MikeGoodrich let's say Dimash created a new style called 'Popera'...

Enjoy!
Long but perfect 😍😍😍

So true!
Nice reaction and analysis of the world of Dimash kudaibergen, continue more songs please! Thanks from Portugal
Ps I subscriber because I like your experience about music talent...

Thank you for such reaction video. Nice
Love it! Loved this analysis! Thank you!
Thank you Mike for your reaction!
