A beautiful tribute song and video to a great musician who I met @ Jeremy Popoffs wedding in 1999! A gentle soul taken from us too soon! I'm so proud of my nephews Ajay and Jeremy for all they have accomplished over the years, and the beautiful song "Here's to us" to Allen! May he rest in Eternal Peace!
Teary eyes. Excellent song and tribute. Allen, a true inspiration. Lit, one of the best bands ever.
R.I.P. Allen, your music was amazing and a constant inspiration. Thank you
Right in the feels. Still
First Allen, then The Rev...... God bless them both... they brought great music into this world, and whenever we hear thunder, we know that it's them drumming up in heaven :)
Still one of my favorite bands. Glad to have met him. He's rockin out in heaven now.
What a nice tribute.
How beautiful, God bless you all, he was such a sweet good man I will carry you all in my heart forever 🙏❤️
just came across this. very moving tribute to a great drummer from an awesome band! will never forget seeing the original band several times. REST IN PEACE, ALLEN! YOUR FANS WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!
I will never forget AL!!!
Rest In Peace!
I love lit!
i keep coming back to this video even tho it brings tears to my eyes every time. these guys had what every band wants when they get together. brotherhood and success. glad to hear they have a new CD coming out, tho i'm sure it was hard w/o ALLEN! but i'm sure he was right beside you all along and always will be!
Wow, think i have something in my eye.
I'm not crying...
You're crying...
The way Allen emphatically beat on those drums on those LIT albums always got me pumped and banging away on my steering wheel and shifter as I rolled around throughout the years from adolescence to adulthood. I constantly go on LIT binges and try to check out as many shows as I am able to, albeit without Allen on stage :(
Nevertheless, his drumming on A PLACE IN THE SUN and the way he & his bandmates gelled so perfectly makes this album and this band easily one of my all time favorites to this VERY DAY!!
Simply captivating and energetic.
Simply the "PERFECT ONE"
Thank you.
Much love and appreciation.
Cant believe I just stumbled upon this now! Been a huge fan since they came out in '99. Seen them several times and met them twice. Such great guys and Allen was an incredible drummer! Will be seeing them Jan 25 in Ponte Verde!
Miss you Al. It was awesome hanging with you in Hawaii back in 2000. I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to be around longer. We will remember you through your music forever! RIP Buddy!
This band has endured SO MUCH SADNESS & LOSS! And theyve come out and continued to make amazing music. Thank you, LIT! You are amazing and you deserve everything good in life. Keep the music coming. I've almost worn out my "A View from the Bottom." I'll gladly buy a new one tho. Your songwriting is incredible. I don't listen to your music, I feel it! Lucky me!!
What a fine life you had! May we all be so lucky. Rest well, Al.
The music plus the video always bring tears to my eyes. RIP ALLEN. Thank you for LIT
I miss you so much AL. You have my heart. I will always cherish our time together. I love you! You were my rock.
A Great tribute video for a great drummer and human being. Thanks for your music Allen.
What a shame... Five people disliked this. (at the moment) Must be bliss living your life. Hope you have such a send off, so I can dislike it...Don't be jealous of people who will have people miss them when they're gone.
I know what you mean but I think some people see it the other way around to them the Dislike is for the actual loss of death not that they made this great memorable Tribute to him.
I think you're right. Song still makes me sad and happy all at once.
RIP to Allen. My condolences to the family and band members and fans and friends...I posted this song in memory of a dear friend, Kerry...May they all Rest peacefully . She was also 39.
Wow… well done song & video. Just another reminder to not take tomorrow for granted. 🙏🏻
An excellent tribute and an excellent song. Congratulations from Curitiba, Brazil. Here's to you, Allen.
May Allen rest in peace. Glad to see the guys are coming out with a new CD on Tuesday 6/19/12.
Love Lit! R.I.P. Allen Shellenberger!
Great Guy! 6 years gone.
Rip🥁🥁
7years today miss you al.From Thailand fan.
Hands down my favorite song by LIT. The strong emotions that come through the speakers sound as if you can hear the tears coming through. Highly moving song.
and if you can believe it their new album is country. no not rockin country not good country the same cliche pop country on the radio, but even worse. its so disappointing.
+BaronVonBielski This ain't the place to complain about their music changing, especially if you're going to keep posting it in reply to everyone
Beautiful Tribute. He was a great man and a great musician, and he left us with his smiling spirit in Gina. So glad to have her as my friend!
Josie Pernambuco , I have a question; Is Gina his daughter Giovanna ? Just wondering . I regret never meeting Allen or seeing Lit live when he was still with us. They were/are AWSOME !!!
The best songs are the ones that mean the most.
still makes me sad, miss you Al!! 😭❤
and if you can believe it their new album is country. no not rockin country not good country the same cliche pop country on the radio, but even worse. its so disappointing.
Awesome video guys. I love the song and, when the band is ready and the time is right, I hope you all continue to write and perform as Lit.
amazing tribute. another great LIT song. r.i.p. Allen Shellenberger.
5 years today. RIP
Fuck dudes. Talk about tough times. God bless that fine young man.
You guys honor a great person with a great video and song. He really was a hero, although I never met him personally.
I'm proud to have seen you guys live, and I feel really sad that this fantastic person is no more.
Rest in peace.
That was an awesome video and the song is beautiful. I am glad that I got the chance to meet all of you and hang out for a bit, in Orlando a few years back. Allen will definitely be missed.

Oh my god...
RIP Allen...
Great tribute, I was fortunate to meet all of you at the Highbury Garage back in the late 90’s a few days after you played Reading festival. I was shocked how personable you all were, fantastic dudes the lot of you! Remember talking to Allen too. It was one of your roadies birthdays so you were off for a few beers. Sorry to hear this news, my thoughts are with you.
He has a nice smile.
you guys had some rockin' hair! love it!
RIP Allen xxx :(
Miss ya
:'( good bye Allen, good bye teenage years
I love yoy al
@fullclip16117 good point, but god bless em both dude, they were two great people...
@AUSTYNWINCHESTER Awesome comment My 2 favorite drummers.
This song is very emotional.
Please.....I'm Italian and I Would have the Lyrics.....
Pleaseee......
Is that the Hanson brothers?!?
:(
Lit aint its own without Allen :/
@AUSTYNWINCHESTER Not really the same thing though. Allen was a cool dude was struck down by pure misfortune and the cruel arithmetic of the universe, The Rev, AN AWESOME DRUMMER, died because of his own sheer stupidity.
view from the bottom was so good. why would you sell out? you arent even making good country music. its the same shit on the radio that is awful. it has nothing to do with it being country it has to do with you playing pop country devoid of guitars and literally sounds like every cliche crap that comes out. why would you guys do this? yeah youre totally honering allen, changing your music just to make a few bucks. except, it didnt work. im sure it was fun not putting effort into the songs. literal dog shit. some of the worst music ive ever heard.
BaronVonBielski if you knew anything you would know they didn't do it for money, they did it because it's what they were passionate about doing, and wouldn't you rather they do what they enjoy, rather than throwing together an album they weren't putting their heart in. Fuck outta here with your bullshit.
You have your opinion, and I have mine
