Dudeeeeee thank you!! Not sure if I have an old model or what but it took me a really long time digging to find the right video. I was stuck for months. I will add that greenworks customer service was amazing and sent me the part you're replacing for free!
@@markbeck3115 The Echo speed feed trimmer head is the most commonly used trimmer head by professional lawn mower services. So yes, it is actually more reliable and easier to operate than the factory head.

Nice. Mine is at least 6 years old, so it was due for replacing.
I got the same one with diferent protective plastic around the head
Thank you!
You're welcome! Glad it could help.
Thank you for this! I’m surprised greenworks doesn’t have their own speed attachment. Has it lasted or did the plastic end up wearing down quickly?
It's lasted ok for now. I'd still do it again if it wore out at some point.
@@HeartlandRebuilds Thank you for the update! Once it’s whacking season again, I will try one out. 🌱
Can I do the same with my Greenworks trimmer model ST80L210?
I don't think so. Your model has the motor and head attachments at the end of the shaft. You will likely have to use the factory replacement heads.
is the echo speed feed 400 reliable compared to the factory head?

You should bullet proof it. Look that up on RUclips and you find out people mod it with a bolt head so the plastic doesn't wear down
I'm going to do that. It's already showing a good amount of wear without the bolt
