- Last night marked the unofficial start of the 2024 award season as the Golden Globes took place - and if they are anything to go by, it's going to be a very good few months on the red carpet.
There was an excellent turnout of gowns this year, from bridal-inspired fashion to archival highlights, plenty of sequins and more than a few standout silhouettes. Jennifer Aniston proved the power of simplicity in her Little Black Dress, while Carey Mulligan made a case for the fishtail and Hunter Schafer turned heads in her dramatic train. Meanwhile, Rosamund Pike made a case for the red-carpet veil.
Above, we round up our 10 favourite looks from the 2024 Golden Globes.

The hair and jewellery on these women are stunning! Elizabeth Olsen, Emma Stone and Brie Larson’s dress are my favourites
Loved Bries dress. Didn't think Jennifer Aniston should have been in the top 10 as she is always wearing a black dress. There is nothing ever overly eye-catching or outside of the box with her.
My favorite was Brie Larson- her periwinkle dress, her adorable wave and big radiant smile.

Hunter's dress was ethereal. Wisps that seemed to flow straight from skin. They did a good job matching the dress colour to her complexion.

I love the dress, but my dislike stems from it coming so close to her pale complexion. imho some contrast adds interest.

Rosamund and Carey aka Bennet sisters!!! 🖤 Rosamund's dress is just my vibe and the headpiece is a bold inspired choice!! Usually I don't really like dresses like Carey's at the bottom, but the top part is just gorgeous and perfect on her, plus the cute short hair!!
Hunter's dress was something never seen before. Stunning
I thought Angela Bassett would be on the list. She was stunning. Don't think Jennifer Aniston hit her mark.

All of the dresses are gorgeous. Natalie Portman's dress stands out with its classic appeal. Brie Larson's dress is also nice.

For me Natalie Portman was the best dressed, spectacular, elegant and subtle at the same time she looked like a princess.
Natalie Portman looked like a robot version of herself. Very odd.

She looked beautiful, but very very anxious. Poor thing. I think this was her first red carpet since her marriage ended. That has to be hard. Her dress was gorgeous, reminded me of a Monet painting,

I agree with every pick...thought Jennifer aniston a bit boring but because she is a nice person i don't disagree but felt her outfit to be unoriginal so thought she should be #10. Brie should have been higher up on the list. Agree especially with Emma Stone she seemed really comfortable and at ease in that dress with no loose gaps or folds. Love all the ladies here. But thought JLo should have gotten some recognition.
Helen Mirren was the standout.

The Rosamund Pike ensemble was freaking incredible. Emma Stone's dress was gorgeous, too. Then Elle Fanning. But clothes is just an accessory, you need the proper "attitude" to really pull it all together. Fanning excelled in that regard.

Hunter's dress is a dream. No make up no hair just that dress swaying in the wind. I can't get over it. It also seems like a carefully planned dress.
no matter what, all the styles were whimsical and fun for the wearer. i enjoyed it all. i wished the show was hosted better.
Emma #1 Brie Larson #2 Elizabeth Olsen #3 for me!! Rosamund pike was definitely unique just not sure u loved it! Natalie Portman & Jennifer Anniston I love them but found both choices unflattering for them

I list that dress as the failure. If the colors were different, on the top was white , the Jennifer would look much better. Some of the actress are wearing a company name, not the dress.
@@MsSwap2009 I don't agree but I respect your point. For instance, I didn't like Emma's Louis Vitton dress but It was chosen the best look of the night according to Variety. The Dolce and Gabanna's look on Jen was beautiful. i admit this dress was too simple for a red carpet, but sometimes Less is more.
Dolce & Gabbana are despicable and I’m surprised and disappointed she supports them.
I think Jennifer's dress is beautiful, the bodice is perfectly fitted. And from the waist down, it's beautifully embellished with silver sequins outlining a sort of wavy pattern, unfortunately this feature is not noticeable on the screen unlike in photos.

I agree very stiff - and looked unsure of herself. Was trying to figure out why she was so somber.
Wow Elizabeth Olsen:) head to toe PERFECTION:) make-up amazing:) dress is stunning - she's Gorgeous;) wow wow wow:) and on the other end....JenAniston "sorry to say" looked so tired and hair ----well.... quite messy & straggly and dried out - even skin look like maybe still smoking... not her best or fresh like we are use to seeing.

For being the 1st show in a while..everyone needs some reminders.or guidelines how to!.. the stage set up.was bad..most people did not know how to get to the stage..also no music break? The new host was to raw and not funny!.. also the stupid talk that the so called hosts had to do before giving the award was just terrible..sounded very crazy or even like drunks??😮

I did not like Emma Stones dress, it was so close to her skin color and the slit in the front was right up to her "hairy place" from the movie.
