Thank you for explaining this meat. I crave more knowledge from the Bible every day and can't wait to watch another teaching. Learning and growing as part of the body of Christ, I get so happy and am thankful. Thank you for teaching verse by verse as I get a more clear understanding of what God and Jesus want us to know and how to walk. Grace be with you.
I've got to say I wish allot more teachers on youtube would show the loving kindness you display Mr. Beaker. Too many of them do nothing but cut down other teachers, and show they lack much of the fruits of the Spirit. They criticise over little things that much of the time are just small errors and get mad at things that can easily be forgiven with love and kindness.
I love that you have posted these verse by verse lessons. I am following all these older lessons and eager to see the last verse of Revelation. I'm a newer Christian and feel very lucky that the rapture is soon and didn't happen when this lesson was posted. While I found your teachings after being saved you have taught me many things. I share your videos and have started a study group at work. Thank you
In 1 Peter and 1 Col. Charity in the greek context was Agape, which means love. don't be confused by the contemporary interpretation of the word today.
It means Love, so I don't know what he is saying..Loves endures all, suffers all , if I do not have love, I am nothing..so how he is explaining charity is incorrect
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (October 25), this was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "Love Never Fails." Corinth, the New York City/Las Vegas of the Bible. Agree or disagree? Feel free to reply.
I have looked at verse 10 (that which is perfect) I mostly agree with how you see this. but I see this as an event (because its a neuter noun) Looking up the greek word teleios shows that it could be a growing into a maturity, which with context seems to fit..... also seeing how this same word was used in all the other places in the NT is key to understanding its meaning.
Hey brother just want to say at 14:45 you talk about acts chapter 26 verse 14 And When we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? Is it hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 15 And I said, who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest This says it’s Jesus talking to Paul not an angel
I can't tell you how happy I am to hear you say this. I respect your input on these things so much and this particular topic has been weighing on me for so long. I have studied and studied and prayed and listened to all sides of this argument and I was very much leaning to exactly what you are saying. I think it is either when Jesus comes or possibly after the Millennium when we all live with Jesus for eternity because at that point we will have the whole picture. It seems like there may still be some lessons to be learned during the Millennium period. So maybe after that? We will no longer see through a mirror dimly at that point. But, at the very least, I believe it is when we are with Jesus, face to face. A few of the things that were the strongest reasons why I came to this conclusion: One is that this section of scripture talks about when we are face to face. That sure sounds like it is referring to when we are face to face with Jesus. How would having the completed Bible mean face to face with someone? The other is that if having the completed Bible means that we will then have all knowledge and no longer see through a mirror dimly then why are so many Christians still confused and arguing on all of these scriptures? Clearly, we still don't know everything, even with a completed Bible in our hands. We are still just doing our best to interpret the many mysteries of the Bible. Plus, it is so hard to just ignore how many people are coming to Jesus because of a dream that they received that they believe is from God. I, myself, have had several dreams that have come true that were all used to draw me to Jesus. Because of them, I was saved, family members were saved and I now excitedly try to help others get saved. How can we say that we can know how God and the Holy Spirit speaks to people. God speaks to people however he wishes to in order to get the results he wants. Anyways, even though I had come to this conclusion, I still felt "Well, I'm going to run this by Robert Breaker, who I trust and respect as my elder in the Church. I'm so glad I did!
“Perfect” in the Greek is a neutered noun or a thing, not a person or place. When we take “perfect” as Jesus (person) we give allowance for tongues to still exist.
Is love not sacrificial? I think love has been perverted, but love at it's purest is what Christ has done. I understand what you're saying, but saying that love is a weaker translation of charity is not a strong argument for the new translations
Great bible study, but your interpretation is not correct. I would like to share a biblical study I did on the same passage. where can I send this, is in PDF format?
I'm sorry. The New translations do not water down the word "love," but our society has. Do not confuse agape, which is the original Greek word found in manuscripts.
The none eternal gifts will cease when the perfect comes. The perfect is Jesus Christ when HE returns, Jesus Christ the Messiah is the only on who is without sin, without fault. When ever the bible was referring to scripture, it would state that it was the scripture, so I do not believe it is the written word; but THE WORD in the flesh returning, being Jesus Christ the Messiah. Love is an eternal gift, love will always be in heaven for God is love, but the gifts that are only used on this earth to aid in ministry and the great commission will cease when the perfect comes, until this day all the spiritual gifts are needed. The perfect comes may also be referring to after the final judgement day when all sin is delete with, the sins of fallen angels, Satan, and any other created being that has sinned. When God cleanses all of creation of sin.
@Forg1ven S1nner I think people get sidetracked on this controversy over what does "perfect " mean... ..when the chapter starts with Love being described. The latter half lists the temporary things in effect until whatever this "perfect comes, when the temporary ceases and out of everything he listed only love remains It's Love that will remain The emphasis is Love. I think we forget that.
in verse 10 (that which is perfect) is the word τέλειος (Teleios) which is in a neuter form..Christ is not neuter. He is clearly talking about it thing not a person..what are your thoughts about that?
Perhaps it is referring the Heaven, like when we live in Heaven for eternity with Jesus. Heaven and all that is in it will be perfect and when we are there will will no longer see through a mirror dimly. We will be face to face with Jesus and will have all understanding.
The more excellent way is what is found in chapter 13. It's not preaching or salvation. It was a lead in statement to what he would be explaining in terms of the interface of love and spiritual gifts.
Interesting. So, vs 8 to the end of the chapter is sort of parenthetical until "I show you a more Excell way." With that statement referring to the first half of the chapter. The better way, IS love. Is that about right? I never considered this before. Thank you for stirring up my mind on this!!

Love is the most important and above all things...now charity is just a part what love is...

Great message on God's kind of love. Thank You, Brother.
Psalms 119:11 They word have i hid in mine heart, that i might not sin against thee.
Love is patient. Love never faileth.

I think the perfection is when every creature of the planet learns charity and practices it
Hey brother just want to say at 14:45 you talk about acts chapter 26

The church: after rapture, Unto the perfect man, mature in Christ Jesus, face to face, clearly seen as He is
Good video....thank you

10:30 Maybe one day you'll love tambourines... Great job.
Love charity same Jesus died on the cross because he loves the world
Emotions are great passenger's but horrible drivers
Even better, Charity is a state of existence.
That which comes is YOU! When love and charity is the answer, then you will not ask any more questions.
I did it at church
The more excellent way is love.
Yes
Woah woah woah, a more excellent way? Lemme reread chapter 12
